Home Care Assistance of New Jersey provides both hourly and live-​in home care services to older adults, who wish to remain in their homes. Our caregivers take a holistic approach to our clients by encouraging independence and engaging them in physical, mental, and social activities. In addition to companionship our caregivers lend a hand with meal preparation, personal hygiene, bathing, medical reminders, transportation, and more. Clients with live-​in caregivers have the added benefit of knowing that assistance is always available should an immediate need arise.

We uphold a strong ethical value to adhere to the standards of the consumer. As such we are the trusted provider of home care services to the clients of care managers, assisted living and nursing communities, hospitals and senior centers throughout the area.

History

Established in 2001.

I started the Home Care Assistance franchise after I had a bad experience finding quality care for my own parents. After my Dad had a hip replacement, my Mom was his primary caregiver. It didn’t take long for Mom to experience severe back pain, and she soon joined him injured and in bed.

Since I lived over 3000 miles away, I suggested that we find help through a home care agency. At first, all was fine. Then the caregiver began arriving later and later until she finally said she couldn’t come anymore and sent her cousin in her place. The cousin turned up the television and couldn’t hear my parents calling for help. I’ll never forget that phone call… my Mom was crying, my Dad was shouting and I was helplessly holding the phone.

I expect the highest quality care and professionalism from all Home Care Assistance employees. Due to my personal experience, we have taken the steps to hire the very best people and train them in all important skills.

I began my career many years ago in the New York City textile industry. While my career flourished, my aging mother began having difficulties living alone at home. She was not eating properly, isolated herself from her family and friends, and quit taking her vital medications. She was ultimately diagnosed with Alzheimer ‘s Disease.

I found a live-​in caregiver to reside with her so that she could remain in the comfort of her own home, which is where she wanted to be. The caregiver revitalized her and enriched what was to be the last few months of her life. Her last days were wonderful days.

I had such a positive experience with the caregiver and truly felt that she had made a difference in my mother’s life. I wanted other families to have the same experience. Therefore, once my mother passed, I began to explore the possibility of opening my own home care franchise. Four years later, I’m proud to say that I have made a difference in the lives of many NJ families!
