Specialties
Authentic, fresh sliced and fresh grilled sub sandwiches. Our signature cold subs are served Mike’s Way® with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and The Juice – an exquisite splash of red wine vinegar and olive oil blend, and always finished with spices. Our Famous Philly cheesesteaks are prepared atop a hot grill and made to order. And of course, everything is served on fresh-baked bread.
History
Established in 1956.
It all started back in 1956 in the sea-side town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey and was originally known as «Mike’s Subs». The original owner, Mike, thrived off the seasonal tourist industry and a small population of year round residents.
In 1975, Peter Cancro, only 17 years old at the time, purchased the business with the help of his high school football coach. When the company began franchising in 1987, Peter renamed the business «Jersey Mike’s Subs».
Today, there are 1,300 Jersey Mike’s locations open and in development nationwide.
Meet the Manager
Chad F.
Manager
Born and raised in Brick Twp, NJ, Chad is a recent graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ where he received his B. A in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. Upon entering the «real world», Chad joined Jersey Mike’s team where he trained thoroughly in Lavalette, NJ and Long Branch, NJ. As a former captain of football and lacrosse teams in Brick, Chad respectively takes honor in his job position and the responsibilities that come along with it. Staying active within the community seems to be at the forefront of Chad’s interests including Freehold Twp sporting events/teams, fundraisers/charitable events, and Monmouth Chamber of Commerce events. While answering a few questions during the opening of the new Freehold store, Chad was asked to simply list a few of the most important assets his team brings to the area. «Customer friendliness along with an extreme concentration on cleanliness teamed up with Jersey Mike’s sandwiches is as good as it used to be.»
