US Post Office

The new supervisor, Joanna is extremely rude and unprofessional. Her thick accent makes it hard to understand her. This post office is only getting worse. Joanna needs some training in ESL and custoner service.

Last couple of months we have been getting mail not addressed to us. We have been re-​delivering mail ourselves so that others know there is a problem. I went to the post office today to speak to someone about this problem but the supervisor was unavailable, was promised a call from the supervisor by the woman behind the counter… post office is closed now and I’m still waiting. Tried to call but no one is picking up… Our mail is missing too… Hoping other people with mail missing speak up.

If I could give zero stars, I would! Trying to contact anyone is nearly impossible! On the very very rare occasion that someone DOES answer the phone, you’re given a standard short answer not related to your question. If you explain your problem further, you’re put on hold… Indefinitely! Seems to be the standard operating procedure for the Freehold Post Office. If all you need to do is mail a package, then you shouldn’t have a problem. Anything beyond that simple task, is apparently beyond the intelligence level of the people who are allowed to answer the phone, if it’s answered at all!

This Post Office on most days is actually much like hell on earth. The area closed a lot of the other post offices and now this is pretty much it for a much larger area. Add in the fact that the lot is very small and completely unkept and you fear for your life while getting in and out of your car. Sometimes there are so many people trying to shove into this place on any given day that there is a line of cars coming out of the extremely small lot since there is not enough spots to park in. You will frequently see people park across the street at the Stop and Shop and walk across to the Post Office.
Now that you know how insanely overpacked this office is, what do you think it’s like inside? Well they have about 4 places where they could have an employee helping. They usually only have one or two helping anyone though. Also they must have all been trained by the Soup Nazi from the Seinfeld show as I’ve not had something perfectly correct on what I was shipping and was told to fix it and then get back on the end of the line. At this point you are truly understanding the meaning of «going postal». The line has been so long at times when they send me to the back of the line I just walked out and shipped it another way. I think the Postal Service is taking over for the DMW after they went over the massive overhaul to try and fix that disaster.
If you can avoid going here that is all I can advise. They have a machine in the main lobby so you can just buy stamps and things that way. This is your best bet. If it’s broke come back another time.

This post office can be really efficient, or an exercise in futility! There are times when there is a huge line here and only one person working the counter. Other times, there can only be one or two people on line, yet there are 4 people at the counter! Most of the staff is helpful and courteous. I would love to meet the mental patient that designed the entrance to the parking lot here!!!

Nice clean and efficent

Avoid the cashiers and the staff at all costs. I only go to this post office to drop things off. I pay for everything online: stamps, postage, etc.
I got completely traumatized after dealing with them a couple of times, never again!
I’ll add one star because the mail man who deliveres the mail at my house is very friendly and helpful.
