If Trump gets in, he will need to build a wall around this home Depot to keep the Mexicans out, I feel like I’m in a third world country when I go here !!!

The first sight to greet you entering from Merrick Road are hoards of unemployed locals waiting for jobs from contractors. Why the village of Freeport permits this is baffling as this is the only store to have this problem. A good quick stop shop if you know the store layout. Otherwise ask an associate and they will help you but not walk you to the aisle like in Florida home Depots. This is the dirtiest HD Ive ever been in catering heavily to contractors who are there all day and night loading their trucks. Most of the hardware items have been opened or stolen by shoplifters. Items are strew around shelves where customers toss rejects and no employees ever go through the shelves to organize or clean them up. If you want a prettier, pleasant store shop elsewhere or go to Lowes.

The WORST! I forgot why I go to Lowes and Not Home Depot! It took 45 minutes for me to find 2 items in cluttered, unstocked & unmarked bins. And incompetent cashier forgets to put one in my bag!!! I’m traveling the extra 15 minutes to Lowes next time. Bye bye HD!

This is apparently the ground zero or Home Depots.
They probably don’t have what you want in stock, especially if it’s a sale item.
Don’t try to ask anyone anything.
They have no idea when they’ll have it in.
They have no idea what you’re asking about.
They have no idea what aisle it would be in.
They have no idea what time it is.
JUST DON’T ASK ANY QUESTIONS, EVER.
The cashiers struggle with basic tasks like ringing and giving change.
Don’t try to buy a sale item, because it won’t be rung up properly.
OR it will take 30 minutes for them to figure out that this IS in fact a sale item and how much it should be rung up for.
They will not ever come back if they have to check on something.
Self checkout is a better option, but the sensors are awful.
The employee manning the self checkout stations is also useless.
Do yourself a favor and take the extra time to drive to a different location… Or better yet, patronize a local shop for what you need. At least they’ll be willing and happy to help you.

One of the times I was here and a CASHIER went to go check something while I was being rung up, she never returned.
I waited over half an hour.
Begged to be rung up by the cashier next to us, who made a face but finally did even though she had an attitude about it.
On our way outside, I see the original cashier standing around playing on her phone, smoking a cigarette. Are you effing kidding me??? I could have walked out without being rung up, too bad the thugs you post at the doors would have asked me for a receipt. Really disappointing way to run a CORPORATE business. Disgusting.

they have everything i need to get my weekend projects done., always easy in and easy out, but you have to go early in morning or later in the afternoon. im only giving this home depot two stars because there are mexicans all over the place and home depot can’t see to move them off the property, i dont send my wife here because of the cat calls she gets. they need to get the mexicans out of the parking lot, im sure im not the only complaining…

This particular HD is horrible. Workers don’t know where anything is by sending you to the wrong isle when asking for an item that is when you can find someone to help you & when you do find someone you get an attitude like why you bothering me & making me do my job. There is also always something in a lot of the isles just in the way which just makes this store look messy & I shop there at different times of the week & it is always like this with all these problems. I am so done with HD & I am now going out of my way to shop their competitors like Lowe’s, ace hardware & true value. Bye bye Home Depot you just lost a loyal customer to your horrible ways.

I went back to home depot yesterday looking for a fawcet. Not knowing much about plumbing I asked for help. Getting help at this home depot is as probable as winning the lotttery. Their uncaring staff does nothing to help waiting instead for the customers to get angry and leave. After about 20 minutes of waiting I went upfront to complain and get the manager. After that and another 10 minute wait a salesperson finally appeared. This is a real poor home depot and should be avoided at all costs if possible.

Should be zero stars. This place is notorious for having the very worst customer service around. Could someone please explain to these miserable people that they are lucky to find work, and if they’re so unhappy about their work surroundings they should quit?

I only gave this place 1 star because I had to give a star. This place is a dump. I come here out of convenience because it’s close to my house. They never have anything in stock and their service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. waited 45 minutes once just to get asked «who’s next» in the paint section.

Wow all I can say is what a dump. Went in today and this place is total chaos. No rhyme or reason as to where merchandise is located. Empty pallets on the sales floor. Only good thing is there is help on the floor they just dont acknowledge you. Not coming back to this depot

This location is the closest to my house, so I go there out of convenience, but it is the absolute worst Home Depot I’ve ever been to.
Stock is low. Standard items I could find at any other Home Depot are never in stock here.
The service sucks. No one knows where anything is. It’s like everyone is on their first day of the job.
Recently when I went to get paint, I was the only person in line and yet no one even talked to me after waiting for 10 minutes. The previous time, I waited a good 20 minutes to get paint. I went to Aboff’s in Bellmore and it took them at most 5 minutes to mix my paint.

Today I had the best HD experience ever. My wife and I purchased some laminate flooring that was on the labor day sale. Maryann was the happiest and most helpful store rep that I have encountered. She actually seemed to like her job and gave us some additional tips to consider on the flooring. I hope she gets some quality kudos from management.

Not my favorite HD because the staff is not very friendly or helpful. This one is used by a ton of contractors so the lines can be very long. Also the parking lot is usually filled with guys hanging around looking for day labor work.

Very clean and organized location. Bathrooms were clean and located in the front, staff was helpful. Will be heading back here again.

The associates are focused more on their conversation with each other than helping the customer’s out. Only one guy helped me and was super friendly; he rocked, but 1 person can’t pick up everyone else’s slack here. They need tighter management.

By far, this is the worst Home Depot I’ve ever gone to. Unfortuntely, it’s the one I visit most because it’s close by.
It’s been my experience that Home Depot associates will literally run away from customers (myself included) as customers approach with a question.
TIP: you can always find associates in the restroom or hanging out in front of the store on break. Not sure how they’re all on break at the same time, but there ya go.
The «order online and pick up in store» option here is a bad joke. I’ve tried it several times. Each time, I get a text msg hours later saying «your order is ready for pick up» and invariably I show up to Freeport Home Depot only to find that my order has not even been picked yet. This gravely defeats the purpose of ordering online in advance to avoid wait times and lines in order to save time.
Just the other day, I picked up an online order in Freeport and the customer service associate failed to give me a receipt as I asked. She scribbled something on a piece of paper instead (not sure why). As you might imagine, I was accosted by the security guard on my way out for not having a proper receipt. These folks at the FREEPORT HOME DEPOT are just asking for a law suit.
In the defense of Home Depot nationally speaking, I’ve used HD stores elsewhere across the country and have had 2– and 3– star experiences.
This FREEPORT location for Home Depot is well overdue for a regional manager to pop by unannounced and take action against the appalling lack of customer service. The sooner, the better.

Great HD. Despite HD being a chain, they are definitely not created equally. Very knowledgeable and friendly workers at this location. Great selection of paints, PVC fittings galore, etc. Definitely my go-​to HD even though the one in Elmont is technically closer.

Came here after a bad experience at a store near my house, I got help from a guy who was about to clock out and he was overly helpful and kind. Excellent shopping experience.

I don’t know why I come to this location. This place is always a mess, the return desk is always backed up with people waiting and no associates to help out. They don’t have the inventory other HDs have. I’m sure this is one of the busiest HDs in Long Island but common get a grip n things and hire some people to clean this place up.

Usually good and helpful staff here, excellent selection, and with a large parking lot and generally fast check-​out.
I’ve had some comedic moments trying to do in-​store pickup of items ordered online, where it’s very obvious that one group doesn’t know what the other is doing or expecting of them, but that service is fairly new to Home Depot, so I shan’t hold it against them too much.
You’ll always get a straight answer, a fair price, and all of it contained in a clean, organized, and well-​lit store.
