The New Casco Bay Inn

I recently stayed here this past weekend with my mom. the owners Scott and his wife were nothing but wonderful. The hotel is nothing fancy but exactly what you need, I felt right at home. the owners made it a point to get to know their guests, and the continental breakfast was nice (even had fresh home baked goods). I would stay again. Clean, comfy, good location, great owners. Wishing them the best of luck.

This is our second stay and it won’t be the last. The rooms are spotlessly clean and roomy. The bathroom has plenty of towels and amenities. The continental breakfast is better than most with hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, a selection of breads and cereals. The lady who is in charge of the breakfast room is constantly replenishing the items and cleaning the tables as needed. We’ve stayed at some five star hotels that were not as well maintained as this gem. Lovely!

I’ve stayed here twice in the past few years. It’s a great place to stay for a few nights when you’re shopping in Freeport. Nice and clean, very quiet, and a few minutes down the road from Freeport. Did I mention free wi-​fi?

A great bargain! Clean, spacious well-​kept rooms with refrigerators, coffee makers and refrigerators. Front desk staff (Kate?) was very friendly and helpful in resolving a problem I had with the cable TV service in my room.
Other reviewers expressed disappointment with the continental breakfast. Keep in mind that Casco Bay Inn charges much less per night than the major chains in the area — I’m sure they keep costs down by avoiding frills such as full hot breakfasts. There are several cafes and restaurants nearby that serve breakfast if you want more than they offer at the hotel.
All in all an excellent value, and I would gladly stay here when I am in the area again.

We came last minute for Labor Day. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the price was very reasonable. Overall a good value. I didn’t give it a 5 because breakfast wasn’t anything great, but there again, coffee was good, they had cereal, bagels, English muffins, etc. so the basics, if they had muffins and Danish that were not in plastic wrappers it would give it a more homey feel. Other than that, I will come back.

A superb, family-​run operation only a few miles south of LL Bean and the Freeport outlets. Exceptionally clean, impressive amenities, and spacious rooms at a price and overall value that overwhelms the chains. Highly recommended!

We found Casco Bay on the internet and got a very good price. We got a first floor room on the back side that had a very convenient secure entrance. The room was spacious and included a frig and micro wave. The staff was also very friendly and were very happy to help whenever asked. The breakfast was continental style and had a good variety of things. If you left hungry it was your own fault. It’s not fancy but, it’s convenient, close to activities and reasonable. I will not hesitate to stay here again when I’m in the area.

Excellent value, especially on a busy weekend (Clam Festival in nearby Yarmouth), and we really appreciated the lack of a minimum stay and the use of the public computer. Our second-​floor room was huge and spotlessly clean, bathroom well appointed with good water pressure, beds very comfortable. HVAC system is old-​fashioned but worked well. This review is so, so close to a five-​star rave, except for two things: The continental breakfast could be better with just a few simple upgrades, such as normal-​size paper cups for OJ, pastries that don’t look like they were ordered to stock a fallout shelter, and more frequent emptying of the trash can. And as others have noted, the front-​desk staff is almost unbelievably hostile — if you hate dealing with the public so much, maybe try a different job?

They did not service our room on July 4^th and were surly on check in. Breakfast is a joke.

We just stayed here this weekend for «girls weekend», for the price it was awesome! Very clean, nice size rooms, the shower was great & we loved the BYOB lounge they had available with fireplace, TV & a popcorn machine. Very cute & comfortable! The only «complaint» I would have is the owner is a bit of a grouch & she made us kinda feel bad that we kicked her out of her «livingroom» by taking over the lounge, honestly if you don’t want people in it, lock it!
They also had the cutest outdoor deck that had tables & chairs and nice landscaping, too bad the rain kept us for hanging out there all night! All in all a good place to stay for cheap!

This is the Second year we have stayed here for the Lobsterman Triathlon. It will not be the last. The rooms are very clean and large. The staff it 100% friendly and polite. This is my hotel of choice in the area. It is only a couple of miles from downtown LL Bean shopping and just off the highway
