I have known Mo for the past couple of years now. He is one of the best plumbers in the business. He is quick in fixing any plumbing issues and he does that very efficiently. I had my garbage disposal fixed by him and i never had to look back again even after 2 yrs. He is VERY friendly and communicates vey well. I would recommend him 100% !! Thank you mo for your services today.

I had a leaking water heater in my rental property in Union City. I contacted one plumber who wanted a ridiculous amount. Someone referred me to Mo at Active Plumbing. He arrived at the appointed time, gave me a reasonable quote and installed a new water heater at that time. As I live in Oakland, the time to get to the rental property and back again is an important matter to me. Thanks to Mo for getting this done so quickly and a reasonable price.

Mo and Majjid are a solid team! Mo came by to fix my backed up toilet and shower, the prices are reasonable, the work is good and they cleaned up nicely… all around good job!

Came out in less than an hour and did the job quickly and well. Didn’t try to upsell, very nice.

They installed water main line with great quality of work. They have reasonable pricing and quick is completing the project.

Majjid did the gas extension work to install gas range. He was completely professional and thorough with his work. My project had some hiccups since my gas valve was broken (PG&E issue), but Majjid came to my place multiple times without complaining to work around the problem until PG&E fixed it. Would definitely recommend Active Plumbing and Rooters !!

If I could give more stars, I would. I was referred to Active Plumbing by a friend of mine that had work done by Active Plumbing.
I called Active Plumbing after my mother’s bath tub and shower backed up. They came and immediately identified the problem — the main pipe was damaged. Not only did they repair the main pipe, they also repaired the my mother’s kitchen and bathroom sinks. Active Plumbing did an excellent job. Very professional, very ethical — they even gave you the defective part to show what work was done, very friendly and quick! Active Plumbing’s price was very reasonable! We are also going to hire Active Plumbing to replace the toilets as well! Mo & his brother are jack of all trades! I absolutely recommend Active Plumbing!

Our tub backed up and we needed somebody to come out fairly quickly so I called Active Plumbing because they were in my neighborhood. They were very prompt in answering my inquiry on Unilocal,even on a Sunday. Color me impressed. They said they would come out the next day, time as yet undetermined, and I said no problem. They showed up ahead of schedule and were done in 20 minutes/​90 day warrenty. (My only complaint; somebody could have called us this morning to give us a approximate time, I ended up calling them to make sure our date was still on.) I think these guys are great and I highly recommend them. Looking to keep Fremont local businesses afloat which is why I dumped the other guys from San Jose.

So, this company also post ads on the internet on a local site titled, «…list». Anyway, their ads speaks to: «We serve all of the Bay Area»; well, apparently some parts of Contra Costa county are not a part of the Bay Area. When I called to inquire about services, I was told, we don’t service your area. Yet, when I explained that their ad was misleading, the employee just laughed. One star for misleading advertisement and poor customer service. Let’s see if they actually change their posted ads. Hopefully so…

To start off, I am not a person who writes reviews very often but this one I couldn’t resist. I moved to my new house last month and was looking for some plumbing services to pull up a gas connection for my new cooking range. I talked to several plumbers and was shocked by some insanely high quotes that I received. But then fortunately I came across «Active Plumbing» on Unilocal.With all the 5 star reviews I had high hopes and it met my expectations from both price and quality perspective. Both Mohsin and Majjid are very friendly, polite and professional. It wasn’t a trivial job as there was a lot of vegetation/​trees on the way were the connection was to be pulled from. But with a day long effort they accomplished the task. They made sure to seal all the holes drilled in the process and also tested the pipeline for any leaks. Not only that they also came the next day to help install my cooking range which was delivered the vey same day. I would highly highly recommend these guys… they are awesome!

When I called Active Plumbing & Rooters, an appointment was set up just a few hours later. They showed up on time, prepared to do the job. They were organized, knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. The roto-​snake machine was set up in the right location and within 15 or 20 minutes the clogged line was cleaned out and draining great. I was quoted a fair price before the work began and that is what I paid, there was absolutely no upselling. Never was there even a hint of un-​professionalism. This company is a good one, and deserves 5 stars.

THEY DID NOT SHOW UP. I’m giving this place 1 star because of it’s un organized business handling’s, NOT for any services that it provided but because I never got to use them. I called in a panic on Sunday evening because my bathtub and sink were starting to back up. I was told that the next day would work and that they would give me a call when they were on their way. 3:30pm comes around and no call, so I call and am told that in half hour i’ll get a call back because they were wrapping up another job but that I was on the list for service. NOTHING till 7:30pm, they call just to tell me that they won’t be coming but i’ll receive a call the next day to have my plumbing fixed. WTF!!! I told them that was totally unfair of them, I had waited all day with no plumbing and to wait for a call the next day was not right. I thought they were a reputable company here on Unilocal???So they finally said 3:30pm would work the next day. After hanging up I decided that I would look at another company to provide services… A-​plus plumbing here on Unilocal came out within an hour and helped fix my plumbing situation.
If you want to be waiting all day for a phone call, just to get FLAKED on use this company. If you want reliable service then look elsewhere.
If your all booked up, then just say so. Don’t take on too much which results in canceling on your clients.

We had two showers and two toilets that were backing up. First we tried chemicals, no luck. Than we rented a power snake from the local home improvement store and that was a fiasco. Finally, we called Mo from Active Plumbing. He promised to be at the house in 45 minutes. After 45 minutes we were about to call another plumber when Mo called and apologized for not being on time. That was thoughtful and one of those small things that make a big difference IMO. He showed up with his crew maybe 10 minutes later. They went right to work and used their power snake to clear the pipes. They worked quickly and efficiently and they left the bathrooms clean and in good working order. The price Mo charged seemed more than fair. We would definitely use Active Plumbing again. Next time you have a problem, skip the DIY nonsense and call a professional.

Well, having gotten impatient with my own «DIY methods», I gave up and called two plumbing companies: «Active» was at our house (Fremont) by the time I got home from work (SJ) — within 45 minutes after I had called.
Within 20 minutes after letting them in, and these guys getting their tools out, they fixed the clogged sinks.
Very smooth. Very courteous. Painless.*Professional*.
Highly recommend these guys :)

I used their services on 2 different occasions. The owner, Mo, is very courteous and knowledgeable. If there are alternatives, he suggests what they are. He worked around my very difficult schedule and he was very responsive and on time. He and his brother made sure that the job was well done and didn’t rush things even though he had other jobs. I had a very good experience overall and I’m definitely planning to call him next time.

Active Plumbing came through for me when both the toilet and tub backed up, and when another company had failed to deal with it.
I had called another plumbing company the day before, but didn’t have the work done, because the dispatcher was so rude, they were late, they never called as promised (l had to call them over & over to find out when they were coming.) They finally showed up 70 minutes after their 2-​hour appointment window, and they were so incompetent that l told the plumber l didn’t trust him to handle the toilet. Their company had had ²⁄₃ good ratings here on Unilocal!— not anymore!
I saw that Active Plumbing has all 5-​star ratings on Unilocal!l called and spoke to Mo. He was both polite and intelligent, and when l told him about my previous experience, he said, «That won’t happen with us.» He set up an appointment right away.
The plumbers from Active were on time, and they figured out the problem right away. They gave me an exact quote before starting the job, and they were finished in 20 minutes. To them, the excellent service was no big deal, but it was to me!
Always get a man to do a man’s job.

Mo and his brother are a great team. Had some rough in plumbing I needed done in the East Bay. Seeing my plumbing contractor wouldn’t go out to Pleasanton I called Mo at Active and he came out and gave me a quote for rough in on a small full bath. He came out the next day which was a Saturday to take care of the job so I could continue on my job.
Thank you Mo will work again with you soon.

I had a leak at my house very early on a Saturday morning, and Moe came out and fixed the leak within 45 minutes. He then replumbed a shutoff valve from a very tight space next to the house (which took a great deal of work in a very small space) so that we could reach it, and on top of that replaced a broken faucet and disconnected a water softener system and fixed the pipes relating to that.
He did all of this in one morning, and charged what I would consider a very competitive rate.
I strongly recommend this company.

Moe is a highly skilled plumber and a buisness owner on a mission to make every client happy.
He made a lot of repairs and improvements to my house in San Ramon. The valve I sked him to install REALLY affected my water pressure. He came back and took it out for free! He just wants every client to be happy and him to be the last plumber you call!

Mo is fast and competitively priced. He and his partner got the job done in less than a couple of hours and was on site less than two hours after I called. The job site was left much cleaner as well. There were a couple of improvisations that had to be made due to a couple of problems with my plumbing, but it didn’t slow him down at all. he Knew exactly what needed to be done, and had the experience I was looking for. I’d definitely recommend him to a friend.

I called Active Plumbing I had leaking pipes under my house and needed a professional I called up Mohsin Durrani He showed up on time. I explained the situation. He gave me options to me and my wife.
Mohsin quoted us reasonable and fair price. He finished the work on time and fixed it right the first time which is a big thing with me.
I have not had any issues with my pipes since and will have him do future plumbing work at my home in a minute.
Good quality and professional work done at a reasonable price is rare these days. Mohsin Durrani thanks for a job well done.

I am a stickler for finding businesses that are reputable. I started on Craigslist and actually found Active Plumbing there first. I decided to check into the license and found the business at the California State License Board — check. Unilocal here I come to see if the business was there — check check.
I called and Mo promptly answered the phone after 3 rings. After listening to my description of what I needed, a replacement of the shutoff valve at the front of the house, he asked a few questions that confirmed to me he knew what he was talking about. I had previously asked another plumbing business for a quote and they had prepped me for questions to ask.
I spoke with Mo and within about 30 minutes he came to the house. Mo had another one of his team members with him to do the job as well. Within about 30 – 45 minutes the old valve was off and the new valve was on. Mo kept me informed about the process he was doing which taught me a lot.
So here are my impressions:
— Mo has been in the plumbing business with his uncles and several members of his family for a while (over 40+ years according to our conversation).
— In talking with Mo he had worked for a Plumbing Company previously and started his own business later on. In all honesty he was quick about his work like he has been doing this for a while.
— Mo was very easy to talk with and was very polite in directing me on what I needed to do (turn on /​off faucets etc)
In the future I would at the very minimum give Mo a call to get a quote on the work. Matter of fact — Mo was #2 on my list of quotes and he got the job.
It pays to call around. Next time — Mo will be #1 on my list. Nice job Mo!
