Akka’s Handcrafted Foods manufacture chutneys, simmer sauces, marinades and tangy relishes (Indian Pickles) and sell them in beautiful jars. They include both shelf stable and refrigerated types.

Akka (a-k’a) means older sister in Tamil, my native Indian language.

The aroma of dishes made with our products has the fame of bringing people together around the table. Akka’s Meyer Lemon Relish was a Good Food Awards 2014 Finalist.

History

Established in 2006.

Authentic, all natural, preservative free, locally made fresh curry sauce, Indian pickles, and chutneys are packaged and sold in beautiful jars since 2009 when my older sister, Akka in Tamil, an Indian language visited us from India. She made Meyer lemon relish, which become popular immediately among friends and family. Soon our family expanded to making chutneys and sauces.
