Excel Sign and Decal Co

I emailed my order form and I asked to be contacted by Excel once they received my order form. A few days passed and no one called. Then I called and spoke with Loui and asked if
they had received my order form. Loui seemed to not know anything about my order and said he would check and call me back. No phone call for approximately 2 days. I called again and spoke with Sara who said she would «check in the back» and would call me back. NO phone call. I called again to follow up because I listed a home in Ontario and I needed the sign. I was charged for the sign on October 8, 2015. Sara couldn’t seemed to find my order, when she
finally located it she sent me a copy of invoice. She informed me she was going to check in the back for my order and call me back. NO Phone call. By then two weeks had passed when she finally talked about emailing me a proof. When I finally received proof of sign I approved it and asked that they mail the sign to the property. Another week has gone and I have finally received sign, however to the wrong address. I was purposely down in Southern California
and was told the sign was to be delivered on Thursday, October 22, 2015 to the listed home, mind you no tracking number. The plan was for me to put the sign up. No sign was delivered to the address Excel was instructed to.
I am displeased with the lack of service provided by Excel.
The lack of communication and poor standard of excellence from Excel has created a major
hardship. After my credit card was charged I contacted Excel to ensure they were working on
it and to figure out shipping details. I wanted to drop ship the sign to the Ontario home I am selling. I needed to go down there and set up the sign. We have been told repeatedly that they don’t have the right phone number for us or that emails have been sent.
These are blatant lies. It is convenient for them to come up with some type of excuse and the lack of service. After a phone conversation with them just a few minutes ago I learned that they would be unwilling to help me with the overall cost of getting back to Ontario to put the sign up since they shipped it here. The owners name I was told is Gregg, also would not come to the phone and speak with me. I strongly urge and ask all of you to reconsider doing business with them. This is going to cost me a lot of money to get back to Ontario to facilitate something that should’ve been done almost a week and a half ago. This also limits the marketability for the home I am selling based on the fact that other homes in the area are selling and ours is not.

I CAN NOT SAY IT ENOUGH DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I recently when there to place my order (Even knowing I could have went somewhere closer for less amount of money) I only needed one sign and they charged me almost $ 200 buck for it! I did not have time to look elsewhere as I was already there so I figured I’d give them a try. The process took more then a week they tell you 5 – 7 business days and I did not receive a call or email saying anything for 10 days! I called and spoke with a gentleman that said your sign will be done tomorrow which was Tuesday so I waited no call then called again Wednesday I spoke with a female, great help told me exactly what the status of my sign was. Friday then comes around I finally get a call just as they were closing I had to rush to get my sign.
Then not only did they take 10 days I put my sign out for my listing in Santa Clara and it welted all up looked more like waves if you ask me (Horrible quality). I took my business elsewhere to see if I could get a better price pelican signs was happy to help great customer service awesome timing and prices. I will never do business with excel sign again.

I use Excel almost exclusively for my real estate signage & have never had a bad experience. Maybe the staff has changed since the older reviews because I find everyone at Excel to be helpful & professional. Glen & Mot do everything to meet my short time constraints for custom sign riders, etc. I do take extra care with my a-​frame signs by storing them in plastic bag covers so they don’t get scratched, etc. while riding around in my trunk & have never an issue with color running. Pricing is fair, I find their service to be great so I’ll continue to use them whenever I need signs. Give them a try and let them prove themselves. They’ve moved to a location on Albrae Street in Fremont.

This company is now located in Fremont, and they are super fast. I submitted an order online at night for a name rider, and it was ready the next day. I like that kind of service. These guys are great!

I have used Excel Signs for my real estate open house stand up signs. They are great to work with! While changing brokerage companies I erroneously approved a draft with a wrong cell phone number. They fixed it without charge and all 10 signs look great! Thank you so much.

Terrible customer service. I ordered a simple window decal and when it arrived, there was a missing part of the logo (perhaps it fell off during production). Dale said a new one would be on the way… two weeks ago. Communication is really a challenge with these guys. Emails go unanswered and they really don’t put the customer first.

Worst experience with Real Estate Open House Signs!!!
Happy when I received them but the ink on the signs started to run. To my dismay the blue was bleeding into the white font letters of the sign and was all over my hands. I’m pretty bummed being that I spent over $ 600 on open house and for sale signs for the nice Ultra frames (the most expensive they have).
Their solution after chasing them down for months? They offered to replace the face of the signs at $ 32/​each…
What reputable business would sell a defective product and offer to replace it at a cost to the consumer? Please see pics attached: Note these pics are after «1 open house»
As an active Realtor bouncing around open houses and locations, I now have these signs that I have to wrap in a blanket because they are SO DELICATE (i’ve never had to do that before)… NOT COOL EXCEL SIGN AND DECAL Co. All I wanted was a set a durable set of signs. I feel very cheated and let down. Complete and utter regret in ordering from this place.

I have bought personalized signs, posts and other items from Excel and I have found the products and customer service to be excellent. The quality is top-​notch, they have always had things read when they said they would, and they’ve never made mistakes.

I have to agree with the other reviewers. In short, their work is quality but their customer service is horrid. This is the sign shop of my brokerage so when I joined I naturally ordered my For Sale and Open House signs from them. I used Excel’s order form, denoted the quantities of each sign that I wanted, and faxed the form back to Excel.
After a week they sent me a proof of the For Sale sign. After verifying that my information (which would be used on both the For Sale and Open House signs) were correct, I e-​mailed them back saying to go ahead and run the signs. Two weeks later, I receive my For Sale signs but no Open House signs.
I immediately call up Excel and explain my dilemna to Tina of Excel signs. She explains that «Excel did not even proof the Open Yard signs» and asks if I still want them. I did in fact need them as I had an Open House coming up and told her to go ahead and order them. I also explained that I assumed (yes I know where assumptions lead you) that they only proofed the For Sale sign to verify that information was correction as the EXACT same information was going to be laid out in the EXACT same way on both For Sale and Open house signs.
I also asked if Excel would either be willing to pick-​up or even split the shipping since it was error on their end and that I am not local to the area and had the For Sale and Open Signs shipped together it would not have cost me much more if anything. She immediately tries to rush me off the phone telling me that «the signs are lightweight so it won’t cost me much to ship» and that «normally it takes three days to print but they are printing mine now» and hangs up.
The fact of the matter was that I did need them, otherwise I would have just taken them to a local shop to do.
Never once, did Tina apologize for Excel missing the Open House order on the form which is what appalled me the most. I did not feel like Tina, as Excel’s representative, had one bit of remorse of mistake on their end.
Also Tina if you are reading this… do not do a sell job on me and act like you are doing me a favor by expediting the print from a 3-​day lead to a 1-​day lead two weeks after-​the-​fact. Should Excel have picked up the order when I placed it I would have received 15 days earlier despite their best efforts to expedite.
Also, if it did not cost that much to ship (was $ 13) why couldn’t Excel have picked it up as a token of good will. I would have even been happy to pay for the standard shipping and have Excel upgrade it to rush shipping (they came ground).
I would have been very happy to send Excel my business forever had they even acknowledged that they made an understandable human error. However, being in the service industry, I simply cannot justify rewarding a company that feels that they are entitled to my business and do not have to earn it. Shame that Excel was willing to gamble my future business over over just $ 13 and two weeks of my time.

Great service, great signs and AWESOME prices. You cannot beat these guys in price from plastic yard signs to 4X8 billboards this place rocks. Greg Pelican is the man!

They ‘do’ good work but seem distracted. My friend sent me to pick up a sign and post. The post was not part of the order though. This could just be that my friend didn’t order it property, so I went down and ordered the post. I brought my signage in to show them. They said the post had everything to get it up and going. Not wanting to come back, I held up my signs and asked ‘how to I hook them to each other?’. They said I needed two S hooks at 50 cents each. My receipt for the post has already been done so as opposed to billing me again for $ 1 they just gave me the S hooks. I would have been bent if I had found out about the missing parts at the location of the installation though, especially after I asked. My suggestion to explain this is perhaps there is too much going on over there. SO finally, I would suggest people to use Excel Sign but I would recommend double checking everything. Don’t take anything for granted.

I worked with these folks for a number of years and have been pleased with their product and customer service.

Excel creates and prints signs for a large percentage of real estate companies in San Jose. Their finished product is pretty high quality. That is where my praise ends.
Their customer service is HORRID.
My first experience with the company was when I needed some personalized open house signs printed. My specifications were pretty basic (they have a template created for my office). I faxed and emailed my order form and was told i would receive a proof the same day. I had to call three days later to ask about the status of my order. I was emailed a proof 30 minutes later with an incorrect spelling of my name. «No Biggie» I said as I corrected the misspelling. I was emailed another proof, this time with the correct spelling which I approved. They informed me that it would take 4 – 5 business days for the crew to complete the signs and I would receive a phonecall. Two weeks later I had to call them again. surprise! My signs were done! I drove by o pick them up and… they were misspelled.
They tried to smooth it over and insist that I just «Take decal and put over it!»
That didn’t work for me at all, especially since the signs were nearly $ 50 each and had been such a simple job. I told them I would be taking these signs to use while they completed mine correctly. After some debating they agreed and I headed out with my signs.
Two weeks pass and I have to call them again. «They Done! Come pick up!»
I arrive at the shop and amazingly. they’re not done. Printed but not assembled. Jeeze!
I spoke with the front office and after some bargaining I walked away with the original signs (misspelled) for %30 of original cost and the reprint (now correct) for normal cost.
Hey «arez» and «ares» are pretty close. «Just put decal! It OK!»
1 star for finished quality. (if spelled correctly)
BTW: I did have some new «For Sale» signs printed through them as well… that’s another long story that I will not take the time to type… lets just say that it did not help their star rating at all.
