Waste of freaking gas.
Add says $ 40 for relaxing or deep tissue massage. i get there they say it $ 10 extra for deep tissue. So I was like ok that’s fine then when I go to pay they say oh if u use the card it 5 more buck and Then I said f** off :)

This is one of the worst massages I have ever received. I walked in and had to wait 15 minutes to be shown into a room, and then waited for an additional 10 for my masseuse to show up. The room was super bright, no relaxing music/​noises (not even noise canceling, I could hear the busy street outside).
The foot massage is the one redeeming thing about the whole experience. That felt amazing and was pretty relaxing. But then we moved to the back/​body massage. I was way too hard and while it helped places on my back, another portion of it actually hurt more when I left than when I came in.
Overall, not a great experience. My masseuse did not utter one word to me, delivered a subpar massage, and then even asked for a tip! Long story short, I will never be going back here again.

My husband was booked for 2:00. So were a bunch of other people. Except that there weren’t extra masseuses. He had to wait for an hour for his massage. Unprofessional overbooking for money is inconsiderate towards customers who are looking for a nice massage on a Saturday, not an hour in the waiting room. People ware also abrupt and lack courtesy, don’t speak the language and hard to communicate with if you don’t speak their language. When I went the guy did not offer any water at the end. I’m done with groupon recommendations. This is the third groupon place that I’ve been to and they suck. That’s why they’re on groupon offering discounts — no-​one wants to pay full price for bad service.

so she says i will be right back… i proceed to loose my flasses wrist brace and shirt .
as i only want my kneck and back worked on .
she comes back and start telling me in her english what she will do and i tell her what i want .she is seriously confused .after almost an argument .and she kept telling my to take my shorts off (not underwear) .i said no my back only then she is like well your feet and again i say no my back. so finally she gets it …
now for the massage .it was uhhh ok ive had friends do better .the gal didnt look for the knots she just plowed thru like she was readding a script … no paper mask for the face hole wich dawned on me later .and im burning up to find out the table is heated and on .ok when its cold but not today. ive had serious back issues most of my adult life and plenty of people have worked on me… this place and for what they charge… its ok but i wont go back .i will if its free and todays was free so there it is

Super disappointed in my totally disorganized spa package today. The spa is cluttered and dirty. My masseuse was the sweetest lady, not much English spoken, but that was fine. The massage itself was pretty nice only because of her technique. But, I felt awkward in between services as I lay there wondering what was next and did they forget about me? Umm, was I supposed to switch rooms? Communicado = none here. Finally someone came to do my facial which seemed like a bunch of cheap soaps and scrubs. Lastly, I had the body scrub. Oh goodness, I just wanted to scream UNCLE! It was a cold sugar scrub that I could have done without. Felt like it was sugar scrub from the dollar store. I took a shower afterwards but that was kinda yuck too.

My boyfriend and I came here to use a groupon couples massage ($ 89 for hot stone massage). My initial impression when walking in was bad. The vibe of the place was not at all calm and relaxing, and I felt like we were rushed into the room.
The massage itself was very lacking. Usually I feel refreshed and relaxed after a 1 hour massage, but instead I felt very disappointed and anxious. It felt as if something was missing, and it was very unsatisfying.
What also made me feel weird is they straight up asked us for a tip. I didn’t like the pressure they gave us and it further ruined my mood. I mean I was going to tip them of course, but to be asked so bluntly was a huge turn off.
Definitely will not be coming back. I’ve been to far better places before. Extremely disappointing.

Yes, it is as bad as most of the other bad reviews indicate. My wife bought the couples hot stone massage through Groupon. Upon arrival, the unprofessional young receptionist barely acknowledged us. She was too busy on Facetime or Skype or whatever talking to somebody on her phone. The whole time she was checking us in, she was still talking and laughing to the person on the other end and barely made eye contact with us.
She then showed us to our unpleasant, dingy little room and told us to take off our clothes and lay face down on the massage tables… no robes offered, nothing. As soon as I laid down on the table, I looked down through the mouth/​nose gap in the table and saw that the floor was filthy! It looked like it hadn’t been swept or vacuumed in months. That of course made me start to question the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire place.
Within a few minutes of lying down an older Asian couple wearing regular street clothes and tennis shoes walks in. I thought «SERIOUSLY?». They barely spoke a word of English too. As the massage progressed, I kept wondering at what point I was actually going to start enjoying it. It just was NOT a good massage at all. My wife said the exact same thing when hers was done.
So, to sum it up– the place is dirty, the staff is unprofessional and the massages suck. I can’t speak for any other services they offer, but based on our experience, I can’t imagine anybody having any sort of good experience here.
I’m actually shocked that some of the reviews here are more than 2 stars. You’ve been warned.

Idk where to start. I guess by saying never again! I got a package for facial, massage and scrub. .1^st off it was not a facial… they just did a face wash and light massage… no extractions… no scrub. nothing…
Massage well I was freezing. .and scrub was the worst lart… so cold in there… when I went to shower they didn’t have running hot water… literally water was freezing. .I had to wipe myself down with hot towels… worst experience of my life. I’d give them 0 stars but it doesn’t let me… all for trying some place new

Decided to come here on Valentine’s Day for a couples massage since it was close by the house and we had a bunch of things to do that day. First off, I arrived on time, if not a little early and I had to wait 15 minutes for them to finish up the previous appointment and set up. My boyfriend’s experience here was a little bit better than okay. Mine was a little less than okay. The massage started off cool, until I noticed the technique the lady was doing. I noticed she kept glancing at the other lady that was massaging my boyfriend as if she was trying to mimic her technique. When it got to the head massage, it really felt like she was scratching my head. I could’ve saved my $ 60 and scratched my own head at home. My boyfriend told me he thought the massage was okay but he loved the head massage, making me feel even worse lol cause I had received a bad one of both. All in all, I wouldn’t come back to this place again. Not worth it.

Brought a groupon for mani pedi. They charged me $ 40 extra for a shellac polish. I said ok and when they started, they didn’t even do a massage for 2 minutes on my hand or feet. The pedicure station didn’t have running water, so they kept my feet soaked in a bucket. The whole ghetto experience makes me never want to go to this place. For a $ 60 mani pedi at a regular place, I can have a far better experience with great massage.

I wish that negative stars were an option.
I can’t even give this place any stars because I barely made it through the door on the day of my appointment before they rudely turned our entire group away.
Our group of 9 had BOOKED AND PREPAID for a variety of services for a specific day, several weeks in advance. However, upon arriving, the receptionist, who spoke minimal English, told us that our reservation was for 8 days later. We had spoken several times with Mariza confirming our reservation but according to the receptionist, «Mariza does this all the time!» We tried to call Mariza herself but she didn’t pick up her phone (how convenient).
This seems incredibly unprofessional to «do this all the time.» We had come from various parts of the Bay Area (Tracy, Dublin, Hayward, and San Jose) for a relaxing day together. I guess that this was asking too much of this establishment. The receptionist was unsympathetic and unapologetic and simply told us that they were «fully booked.» I find this incredibly hard to believe considering the way they run their business aka unorganized, unprofessional, etc.
After some awkward arguing in both English and Chinese, we took our business elsewhere and tried to salvage the rest of the day that Fremont Day Spa was so determined to ruin. I will add that while we were congregating outside, trying to find other spas and salons that would accommodate us on the fly, absolutely NO customers walked in, so I’m not entirely sure if they were actually fully booked.
But it’s probably just as well that they couldn’t accommodate us anyway, because I wouldn’t go near this place with a ten foot pole or if someone paid me to. Incredibly unprofessional.
Avoid this place if you actually want to be seen, have services rendered, and have a relaxing experience. Only come here if you like unprofessional, rude, stressful customer service or if you don’t really want to get your nails done or if you like making and prepaying for reservations, only to show up and be turned away. If that’s the case, this is the place for you.
I can’t stress enough that we BOOKED AND PREPAID for our reservation weeks in advance. This place makes a mockery out of customer service and standards of practice when running a business.
Still no word on our refund…

I wish I could give this place a negative star rating. My boyfriend took me here as part of a special birthday day he planned for me. We had the couples hot stone massage for an hour.
First let me start by saying that you have to have an appointment for this. He made the appointment for 11:30am. As we were heading there… on time I might add… all the way from almost Vallejo I also might add they called him to ask to push the appointment time back an hour. Ok no problem. So we made a stop to shop a bit and then headed to the location. On time. 12:30 appointment time now. We get here at 12:15. First of all the place is very small and not clean and organized at all. Lots of clutter.
The receptionist shows us to our room and asked for us to remove our clothes and lay face down under the blanket. No robes or anything. So if I need to go to the restroom I have to get dressed again. She advised us that we would be starting at 12:30. Ok that time came and went. Then the two ladies come in about 12:45 and barely say anything to us. No good afternoon no how hard or soft you like your massage no nothing. Then they just start. Very awkward. Then they start having a conversation between themselves in their language. Very rude. This is suppose to be a very peaceful serene environment. Not to mention the loud noise from the workers outside the room having conversations and heating food up in a microwave. Very distracting for me to relax. There was little to no conversation during the entire massage. When they were done they just stopped and said done. They didn’t speak very much English at all. When I asked in what spots did it feel like I was more tense she had no idea what I was asking. I finally just said never mind.
We got dressed and my boyfriend decided to go get the car while I got dressed. On my way out I was stopped by 4 workers telling me excuse me where’s my tip? Wait what? First of all you pushed my appointment back an hour and still didn’t start on time. The environment was not as I expect it to be for the service I was getting. The massage wasn’t that great. Normally they ask where I would like more pressure etc… leaving a tip is not mandatory from what I remember. The consumer leaves a tip if they feel the service deserves it. How dare u try to make me leave a tip. Anyway I definitely will never go back here again. Not to mention the place made me feel like it was one of those Day Spa’s that you get a happy ending at if u know what I mean.

I had a bad experience when I went here for a mani pedi. I paid $ 29 for a groupon which is worth $ 55 for mani pedi. The price chart showed $ 58 for gel mani pedi when you pay with card and $ 55 for gel mani pedi when you pay with cash. When I went there, they charged me $ 30 extra for shellac mani pedi WITH the groupon. They are so dishonest. The only good thing about them is the $ 20 foot massage but nothing else. Never going back there again.

Sorry to break lucky number 88 (sorry, Asian joke) as this will be Fremont Day Spa’s 89^th Unilocal review, which is actually perfect, because my boyfriend and I spent $ 89 using a Groupon for a 60-​minute hot stone couple’s massage (*ba dum tss*).
The receptionist gave us the choice between the couple’s room or separate rooms. We opted for the couple’s room, which might not have been the best choice as it was right next to the hallway. During the massage, you could hear people walking up and down the hallway and the front desk receptionist talking. Overall, though, it was quite the relaxing ambiance with dim lighting and tranquil music playing in the background.
How their hot stone massage works: Basically, strip down to your underwear (ladies, no bras), enjoy a full body oil massage and prepare to get weighed down and massaged by hot stones (in a good way). This was my first hot stone massage, so I was worried that the stones would be too hot. Just let them know if the stones are too hot or if they need to adjust their massage pressure (they wont know unless you tell them!). My masseuse was really good about removing the stones if they were too hot and adjusting the massage pressure. Overall, it was a relaxing experience (my boyfriend told me I dozed off for a bit). Don’t forget to tip 15−20% if you enjoyed their services.
I can’t wait to try their spa combos in the future! Reading other Unilocal reviews and looking at their website, it looks like you can choose from a selection of 2 out of 6 services for the price of $ 65 (but call them to double check the price!). Also, there is currently a Unilocal check in offer of «$ 65 for couples massage 45 minute full body Swedish massage OR $ 65 anti-​aging facial and 1 hr full body massage». Interpret that as you will. Until then!

My sister in law and I went for a «couples» massage (separate) rooms for the hot stone massage. At first the massage was ok and thorough (I got a male) he burped pretty loud and didn’t even say excuse me. Thought it was a little rude… But moving on, we got to the hot stone massage and he put a hot towel on my back and put a bunch of stones on my back… It was ok at first but then they were really starting to burn. I told him they were too hot and to take them off… He would just move the towel around on my back and ask «ok?» And I would keep saying «no take them off» after the 4^th or 5^th time I was like «it’s fine» (because he just wouldn’t take them off) so I was really tense because my back was on fire and the I guess I just got used to it. So the pain stopped and the massage was alright. As we were leaving I was walking out the door and he demanded a tip (not what you should do) we have a $ 10 to split between the two masseuses and he did not look pleased. Well the next day here is a picture of my back! (I’m chunky)

Wow I can’t believe it’s this bad here! I’m so disappointed. Not an option for the no star grading. But the one star goes to the nail techs, that aren’t at fault for the manager having this place in the condition that it is in.
I’ve been looking for a nice nail salon near me because the one I usually go to is kinda far from me. When I say nice I mean clean and organized, what I consider he mandatory minimum.
After I purchased a groupon to this place and read the great reviews on Unilocal,I thought I’d be safe. The pictures of this place are completely deceiving. All pictures online are nothing like what it looks like in person. I was drawn to the cleanliness and what I got was complete opposite. As you will see in the pictures, there were nail clippings in the bowl where the nail tech wanted me to put my feet in. I asked for a liner the host that walked me in said they didn’t have that option. I was about to walk out, but asked the nail tech if they had some and she said yes.
I opted out of getting my cuticles cut or nails trimmed because the equipment didn’t look very sanitary either, even though it came out of a liner. Oh dear, what did I get myself into, I’m so scared! I hope to God I don’t get an infection.
The only reason I didn’t leave was because my nail tech Emily was so sweet and kept apologizing. I told her it wasn’t her fault, that it was the owners for having such a dirty, unorganized and misleading business.
I can’t believe the health department haven’t been here to close them down until they are up to code.

My SO and I normally get Thai and deep tissue and thought maybe we should try hot stone massage (coworkers also recommended hot stone). We purchased a groupon deal for couples hot stone massage for $ 86, requires appointment prior to arriving. Couples room with side-​to-​side beds, a male and female masseuse for us, my SO had the male and I had the female.
His comments:
Massage was okay, felt like they just rubbed the hot stones all over and that was it.
My comments:
My masseuse was courteous to me about the temperature of the stones. I feared that the stones would be too hot and before she would place it on me she would gently touch the stone on my back and ask if its too hot and then place it. A few times I’ve had to say it is too hot. The massage could use more pressure though.
The service was friendly and welcoming but we are most likely going to go back to Thai and deep tissue…

I got a Groupon deal $ 39 for a 70 minute massage with reflexology. I gotta say… Mike was AWESOME! He provided firm pressure that was consistent the whole time and asked me periodically if I was ok.
I was taken outside to another part of their place where you can get your nails and massages done. The ambiance was nice with relaxing music until some ladies came in and starting chatting. Good thing It didn’t distract my massage much though since I was enjoying it so much!
There’s a curtain that separates the massaging chairs to the nail salon.
The place was well kept but I do have to comment on the bathroom. It smelled pretty weird and there was water (toilet water? Hopefully not!) all around and near the toilet. Other than this, I have got to say that I recommend this place. The lady told me that was in front that I didn’t have to or won’t have to buy another Groupon since their combo deals are actually cheaper than Groupon! Aw great, thanks for the heads up. Guess it’s so you can come back. I just got lured I by Groupon. Well, at least had a great experience .
I’ll be coming back and will ask for Mike!

Mariza emailed me and offered me free facial and massage and how she is concerned about good customer experience.
So she worked out a time that works for both of us.
Mariza greeted me and did my facial this time. She definitely seemed to know what she was doing. She talked me through the process and explained what is good for skin and what is not. How frequently should I go for facial and so on.
She definitely paid attention on all my comments on the review and did pay attention to detail.
It did make me feel good as a customer :) She was very genuinely apologetic.
She recommended Mike for massage. He was great. Did not communicate AT all. Probably because of language barrier, but very very strong hands and relaxing massage.
I would definitely consider going back again.
I do believe in second chances. I would give 3 stars to the place, but one star is for you Mariza!
