KTV Studio – Karaoke Cafe

So I decided to come here last night. My friend and I were super excited about their 50% off all alcohol after 8:30PM and free karaōke if you spend $ 10 pp deals. As responsible adults, we decided to take Über there. We got there a little over an hour before closing and they were closed. No signs on the door or message on their answering machine. We were so bummed. And we wasted $ 20 bucks on Über.
I plan on giving them another chance since they have such rave reviews. Lesson learned, I will call ahead of time to make sure they are open.

This place has the best Ma-​La hotpot served with a Lu Rou Fan (Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice Bowl). The bowl is served preheated combo-​style with a huge assortment of different hotpot items. The special dish is just the right amount of ma (numbing) and just the right about of la (spicy). The portions are huge and the price is right. The popcorn chicken here is great as well and is tossed with purple rice patties and green beans. KTV Studio serves the perfect meal for this cold winter season!

Their service is really good! Decent food! Great environment. Plus, a lot of NEW board game to play with your friends! Love this place and will definitely recommend to others!

I love this place! There is no other restaurant like it. It’s one of a kind. The portions are huge for the price and especially during cold weather season, the braised hot pot warms my heart. It is delicious and reminds me of home. (Taiwan) The atmosphere has a cool modern ambiance with soothing music in the background. The staff are young, attentive and efficient. I drive from Oakland to this place three times a week just so I can eat here.

Last but not least, if you like to sing, or hear people singing. Here’s the right place to visit.

Friends visited here for the 台式滷味(apparently people call it dry hotpot here?), and it looked pretty good, so I decided to try it out one day. Bought two combinations with instant noodle option (you can also choose rice, pork rice or udon). The food was packaged nicely and the portion was pretty big! Good variety of vegetables and assortments of hotpot stuff – it is basically hotpot with less soup, so I get why it is called dry hotpot.
I never had the dry hotpot in Taiwan before, so there’s nothing for me to compare with. I like the seasoning and the flavor of the soup/​stew! Not too salty and MSG-​ish, and it had certain homemade/​homecook quality. The instant noodle was also interesting… probably not healthy but pretty delicious, the taste was very Taiwanese.

They just reopened this place and have dry hotpot! Plus they have Boba too! I’m very picky about Boba teas but this one is surprisingly gooodd. good food, good Boba and nice environment. Perfect place to chill. It’s a hidden gem. Will come again

Came here with friends on a Tuesday night which was a Live Sing night. I was dragged by the Taro Balls for couple weeks and I decided I really to give this place a try.
Got here around 9:30pm and it was packed! Full house and almost no where to sit. The ticket is $ 8 for cover with a drink. I got Osmanthus Oolong Tea (hot) and ordered the Taro Ball with job’s tears, boba and taro. I was disappointed they ran out of job’s tears and boba, I got green beans and red beans instead.
The stage is designed like a open-​mic place and it’s for guests to sing in the public. I noticed the staff got lost by the orders because they were asking the customers about their orders. Apparently they missed my order and it took 30 – 40 mins to get my food. That’s understandable because it was packed — but they could’ve come up with a better system. I was fine with it considering the condition that night however I’d love to get an estimate time on my food next time. They totally forgot about our teas… until the event was almost over and we had to remind the staff over and over again.
I like what they are doing for the café, you know, board games, live music and food-​wise, however I’m not too fascinated about the ordering system here. The food (taro balls in this case) was delicious but waiting for 30 – 40 mins plus need to keep reminding the staff and watching they got lost with the orders was not a great experience. Didn’t pay attention to any decoration very clearly because it was dark & crowded, oh and also because I was waiting for my order for almost an hour. Yeah, the wait is a killer and the tea was alright.

Their spicy wonton is really good too. Overall, I love go drop by when I have friends who want to hangout, sing, and have fun together.

What an interesting place! This place is basically a boba/​asian snacks place, except that they have karaōke — and not just your regular karaōke either… They have an actual stage! If you’re bored of singing in an enclosed space with just you and your buddies and you want the experience of making strangers listen to you sing, this is the place to go!
Personally, I’m too shy for this kind of stuff but I love the overall ambiance. It feels like a party here haha. The food and milk tea is pretty good here. While I only tried the wonton soup and their milk tea and fruit teas, I’m excited to try the other things I have on their menu. I didn’t think the wonton soup was that good, but the milk tea is pretty good. I’ve also heard that their popcorn chicken is good so I’m looking forward to trying that in the near future.
Service is exceptional here. I guess the guy who served us figured we hadn’t been there before since I asked for recommendations and he gave us 15% off our tab. I think there is also a check-​in offer for 15% off your tab that you can use next time. The guy was also very attentive throughout our meal and checked up on us pretty often!
If you want to sing, I believe you just have to spend $ 10? I’m not 100% sure though! If you like milk tea, this is definitely another place to check out (:

Came here on a Friday night with a friend around 9:30 PM and the place was pretty lively. There was a crowd of older Chinese people singing and having a great time. A few of them can actually carry their notes pretty well.
My friend ordered quite a bit of food. I liked the beef shank the most. The pig ear was ok too. I wasn’t too impressed with the popcorn chicken because it was really salty; although most reviewers recommended them. The side of fries was actually pretty good. It tasted hot and crunchy instead of soggy like most Asian places usually make them. I ordered an ice peach tea and it was pretty nice and refreshing. I’m not sure how they normally make it, but I did request to have it sweeter than their norm…
We stayed there for about an hour and a half or so, just listening to the karaōke singers. Although it was a little loud to have a normal conversation, it was fun to comment on the music and not what. Service was pretty good, although we had to flag them down a few times.
Overall, I’d say that it’s a good place to just hang out, enjoy some descent food and watch/​listen to people sing. And if you’re actually up for it, you might as well sing your heart out too!

The neat lightings and nice decorations gave this little cozy place a very pub-​liked feel (stage and the stereo setup on stage is great, and prob will get even better as the place just opened)

— Food & Drink are very good, better than other dessert place and sure beats the hell out of Music Tunnel from Cupertino /​Music Land in Milptas
— 1 private room that can hold around 10 people, good for small event but the machine is in Chinese so you should just use the open karaōke or find another place
— LAST thing: SUPERB PRICING n’ SUPER EXCELLENT SERVICE
PS they have a minimum charge with $ 10 per person if you want to sing, but you can sing til they close so it’s still pretty worth the price

I came here on a Wednesday around 5:30pm. It was empty because they opened at 5pm. Sam, the waiter/​karaōke jockey/​cashier, was very helpful. I ordered a dish and a beverage to meet the $ 10 minimum for unlimited karaōke.
I had a blast, since it was slow. It was just myself and an older couple for a few hours. I was impressed by the set-​up (stage, speakers, and wireless microphones). I spent almost 4 hours there and had my Jigglypuff moment. I got to sing some John Legend, The Lumineers, The Killers… and of course some Jacky Cheung, Jay Chou, and Eason Chan (gotta rep since I’m at an Asian place). I thought the food was decent, but the quaint ambiance, entertainment and service more than makes up for it. It’s a good hang out place to just let loose vocally.
Ambiance — casual, clean, and well-​maintained. and CLEAN restrooms
Service — attentive, accommodating and very nice.
Food — okay, but I like the fact that you can customize the hell out of your tea (ice level, sugar level, and toppings).
I definitely will come back because I love karaōke and everyone there is approachable. Coming from LA and having numerous karaōke options down there, I think this place will satisfy my KTV fix for now. Support this business!

Great karaōke café to hangout and have fun with friends, open karaōke stage to enjoy the fun FUN with other customers and friends (don’t be shy, it’s a great opportunity/​place to train your self-​confidence and make new friends), but if you’d like some privacy, they also have the private karaōke room upstair. Best part about this place is that they don’t charge for karaōke like other karaōke places around bay, only need to order up to $ 10 drinks and snacks (even food) minimum per person to sing and you can stay till they closed (which is midnight). Plussssss, their food is good gooooood and the owner couple is oh-​so-​friendly, definitely my new fav place to hang around with friends for shoooo.

This is my favorite Karaōke place! It makes me feel very nostalgic… great staff, very kind, provides great service, really good food, very nice, clean, and elegant space. Can’t wait to go there again!
You’ll start to recognize some patrons if you hangout there often. And it’s definitely a great place to meet new people who enjoy karaōke… most of them are pretty good singers.
Best hangout spot in the area! A place where you can sit down to relax, take it slow to enjoy yourself with friends or love ones. It’s good for all ages!
*The popcorn chicken there is one of the bests I’ve ever had. I usually don’t like to order it in other places because it’s just mostly disappointing and with lots of skin and have not much meat in it… but KTV Studio’s popcorn chicken makes me very happy! (Y)

If you like «Cash Box KTV» in Taiwan, and you can’t miss this place !!! The most all new songs they all have here ! (English ones too !!!). And did you guys remember we can eat and singing pop songs right !!? We can do the same thing here and don’t have to dive all the way to Cupertino or Richmond :))

This place is quite nice for a place to sing and have some of the most friendly service I’ve ever have. It’s a place for you to hang out with your fob friends when you want to karaōke. Their drinks are pretty good compares to many other milk tea places in the area. Their snacks are really good and price is fair. I’m from Taiwan and I can tell you that I really enjoy the pig ears they are serving.
One of the highlight is that they have a stage for you to sing – unlike any other karaōke place – instead sitting in front of a TV and order song off the book in a crammed room, KTV Studio allow you call the songs out with a memo and hop onto the stage like a rockstar.
I defiantly recommend the place if you love to karaōke and have authentic food.

The idea of this place is so innovated.
I have never seen such American style karaōke that gears toward Asian population.
The owner is bold to start something new, and I will give him credit for that.
Although the place was empty (6 pm) when I was there, the owner, food, karaōke have met my expectations.
I hope this place gets more popularity and have more American customers in the near future.

This is ONE OF ITS KIND IN THE BAY AREA!
You can pretty much see how it is from other reviews alr. so I will save the time typing again. As a former band lead singer and online singer, I will be more focusing on the singing part, however, I will breakdown in more detail about the place.
KTV/​SINGING:
Pro: Professional stage, great lighting and mood, large TV’s on side, and PIANO if you play. A great place to practice if you would want to train to get rid of your stage fright. Song selection is new too (I mostly sing in Chinese)
Con: Stage is under utilized when the crows all sing at their own table. Maybe it’s better with someone who could interact with the crowd to encourage them up to the stage and people could know who’s up next. Somehow both times when I visited the bass seems to be missing, resulting the music/​vocal is not as full. Maybe it’s due to the nature of facility that it might cause the audiences hard to talk? don’t know.
Food /​Drink:
They serve DIY choices of food, like you can customize your meal from Part A, B, C, etc. and offers some varieties and upgrades. Price is decent and taste is pretty authentic. I would definitely go back and try their other food on the menu even without singing there. Portion is really good too and it fed me well (for the combo).
Drink: Too bad they don’t serve beers, otherwise it would go really well with the meal. They serve freshly brewed tea, not those «pre-​made tea with truckload of sugar and additives flavors». You may also customize your drink with your preference of sugar /​ice, etc.
Ambiance:
Cozy little modern café with a professional stage. It’s a Karaōke after-​all, so your experience will be affected by whoever’s holding the mic (?) Few booths, but plenty of tables /​chairs, approx can sit about 30 – 40 people. Not too big but cozy. Great place to hang out with friends.
Price: $ 10 min order to sing until your lung is out (or they close) is not a bad deal. or else $ 5 min order is reasonable.
Hopefully they can utilize the stage more and become a place to incubate the Bay Area singing artists /​bands!!!
AND YES I WILL VISIT OFTEN!

Good place to hang out with friends. Good place to show ur talent in singing. One mor tips, spend more than 10 dollars, u get all u can sing. Highly recommend.
