La Quinta Inn & Suites Fremont / Silicon Valley

Yeah so I guess the housekeeping are lazy asses that will ignore your room if the do not disturb is out in 8am. Once passed up they don’t check. So my room is at the 4^th night STALE ass room with trash building up. No wonder people trashes it before since nobody cleans

After a few nights here, place was good, kinda broken.
The beds were sort of comfortable, the room was clean, just broken stuff in the shower.
The shower was very difficult to figure out, the handles were bent and almost broken for the shower levers, and it just didn’t look all that great. I cleaned it before I took a shower.
The room overall was fairly nice though, and I would reccomend the handicapped room strangely enough, it comes with a mini fridge, while the regular rooms didn’t have such amenities.
⁴⁄₅ I would stay here again. Good view of the tesla factory and fairly quiet for being next to the freeway

The price point comparison denoted by my three stars. It has lot’s of competition. The lobby and front of this La Quinta is very nice… the service is good, bathroom big and well lit. The rooms however are super average and nothing special. I have stayed at a nicer couple of La Quinta hotels down south. This one is just ok. Will use the Hampton inn next time to compare which is only a few hundred feet down the street!

They are about one step up from a Motel6. When I checked in, Max was very nice. When I checked out however, Willie was not so nice. Willie did not even smile or ask how everything was. She said «Can I help you?» And when I said «Hi! We’re checking out of our room» her only other response was «Which one?» Then she printed me the receipt, and said «Here.» I tried to make small talk with her while I was waiting for my receipt, and she did not respond! I did ask her if there were locks on any of the bathrooms in the Hotel, because our room didn’t have one. She said «no, for safety reasons», but didn’t elaborate on that. I have never heard of that. There was obviously a lock on the door before because there was paint where the lock used to be. The bathroom tiles needed scrubbing. The bathroom door needed painting. And the carpets could use a good steam cleaning, because when we walked around barefoot our feet were turning black… Gross! The microwave looks like it was from the late eighties/​early nineties! The mini fridge did not have a temperature control (that I could find). However, the bed was comfortable and clean. I did my usual check under the sheets before getting in. The sheets however, should be updated because there were some holes in them. Overall not a horrible experience, but for $ 120 (w/​AAA discount) it could be a little updated.

Considering all the hotels in the area was asking for 200 dollars or more per night, I was able to stay here at less than 200 dollars. (I was on business trip so cost wasn’t the issue but being a good worker that I am, I did my best to save the company some money.)
I found many flaws with this place but if you can ignore them as being minor, you won’t go wrong staying here.
1. There is only one elevator next to the lobby and it’s slow. It’s frustrating waiting for the elevator to arrive.
2. My room had a fridge but it’s stored within the cabinet. Unfortunately the fridge was
too big for the cabinet. It required a struggle to store the drink inside the fridge and close
its door because it was hitting the cabinet walls or doors.
3. Complimentary buffet but no eggs, sausages/​bacon, etc. I need animal protein in the morning!
On the plus side, it has easy access to the freeway, close the many dining options. There is also Chevron gas station block away. Also, you may even have view of the Tesla factory located nearby.

I was looking for a hotel to stay at for one night that was decent quality, reasonably priced, and allowed dogs, and La Quinta Inn was that hotel.
The front desk put me in a room right next to the freeway, but I didn’t notice any noise so long as the window was kept shut. The interior of the room wasn’t anything spectacular, but it was better than average. The most important thing was that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The people at the front desk are courteous and do their best to make checking-​in a breeze. My dog stayed the night at no extra cost. Free wifi. Oh, and they have free breakfast, too!
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at La Quinta Inn. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a hotel that provides the essentials for a good nights rest without having to dish out an arm and a leg for it.

Pros:
–Cheaper than La Quinta in San Jose, and it really isn’t a bad drive from Fremont to San Jose, if you need to go there
–Let me check in early
–Pets stay free! And my dog really liked all the grassy areas across the street to smell and p&p (-:
–Complimentary breakfast: muffins, bagels, toast, make your own waffles, boiled eggs, cereal…
–Pool and fitness center
–SECURITY! — must use access card to get into the front door during after hours.
–Free WIFI and no password needed!
Cons:
–Elevator seems ancient and very slow
–Really loud toilet flush that made me jump the first time I flushed it
–No hand soap
Overall, I would recommend this hotel. There is a Marriott beside it, a gas station nearby and a strip mall with many food options close by as well. I felt that there was a lot of activity both from Marriott guests and La Quinta guests and never felt unsafe walking my dog at night and in the early morning. Also, the guests don’t seem shady like you would see at some cheaper hotels/motels.the ones I saw seemed to be the working professional type. Of course, its not a five star hotel but you get what you pay for and they have pretty much everything you need. I ain’t complaining because my dog stayed for free! (-:

Rates were much better than 15 minutes down the road! Nearly half the price of 15 minutes south! Very clean, extremely nice staff. Decent breakfast. Felt safe in the neighborhood. Would stay there again – and will be staying there when we head down in a few months.

I was looking for a La Quinta in San Jose and the only close hotel that still had some rooms was the La Quinta in Hayword. Well I got it for $ 40 a night. They were having server problems and had to manually feed my info, lucky I still had the booking confirmation on my laptop.
Had a superb restful sleep and skipped their free breakfast .
The room had minor issues like the room clock just displayed 12.00 it never changed time. The free WiFi is awesome.

This place is a good value for the money, clean rooms, pet friendly, plenty of parking. You don’t get the designer soaps, shampoos. and conditioners, but most of us would rather use our own stuff. Its located right off the freeway and next to Marriott and ESA. First floor is usually designated for the pets, if you have allergies, opt for the upper floors. If you wake in the middle of the night itching, you got fleas.
Tip: there’s a Subway by the gas station, McD’s down the street, and Bob Sang’s Tofu House.

Great rates, great service, great room.
It’s a small building but a nice, clean room. Very good continental breakfast. The only down side about this was that the waffle makers always had huge lines. Great customer service. I left my credit card at the front desk when we checked out and they called me to tell me and quickly mailed it when I confirmed it was mine. Thanks!

We were on a road trip and didnt schedule any hotel reservations. We started making phone calls when we stopped for an early dinner. Considering we were only going to be there less than 12 hours we didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on the room but wanted something nice. We found that in this hotel. The cost of our King room was $ 150 less than the Marriott next door. Our room was spacious, clean and a complimentary breakfast was served. The only thing that was a problem was the TV. Not a lot of channels but the worst is that we wanted to relax and watch our Giants but again there was nothing available.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and affordability of this hotel and would recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the Silicon Valley area. It’s great! There is no freeway noise in the room and the property is large, clean, and the staff is friendly.
I paid $ 89 for a Saturday night room. This hotel is PET FRIENDLY — zero deposit for having a dog, zero fees associated. Just tell the desk you are bringing a pet so they can assign you to a designated room. Awesome!
My room was great! A nice sized bathroom with a shower tub, a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker, and a great king sized bed! The rooms were clean and already cooled when I got in there.
They also had a great breakfast the next morning: a few waffle makers, hard boiled eggs, cereals, yogurts, muffins, bagels, etc. It saved me the cost of having to buy breakfast on the road. Thanks!

Needed some away and relaxation time. I called hotels around the Fremont area and everything is pretty pricey. This place was kind’ve in the middle. A step above Best Western but below the Marriott.
While I did enjoy my stay here, I still feel like the $ 119 I paid is pretty steep. But I figure you get what you pay for. It’s better than sharing walls with druggies, crack addicts, alky’s and guys banging their whores and hookers at the good ol’ EZ-​8 or Motel 6’s. I didnt feel like dealing with any of that BS, so I forked over the $ 119. But for what I paid for, I had atleast hoped for a mini-​fridge and microwave in the room, but nope. Even EZ-​8 has a mini-​fridge for you.
This hotel is pretty clean, I’m sure if you’re a knit picker you’ll find a few flaws. Like I said, I just needed a place to relax and get some rest. I didn’t use any of their gym equipment, laundry services, pools or jacuzzi. I didnt eat their free breakfast either. The walls are pretty well insulated, so you cant hear your neighbors, although you can hear people in the hall ways. And yeah, you hear the occasional clangs, and kaboom noises. The TV’s are up to par, LCD, and in HD. The only thing is, you only get like 35 channels. They have AC’s in the unit and temperature control. Vending machines and snacks are pretty pricey, but that’s hotel prices for you. One of the best things was the free WiFi, which is a pretty strong signal. I mean, it’s not Xfinity strong, but pretty good compared to other motels i’ve stayed at.
I’m sure if I went out on a date and brought a girl back here, she wouldnt have any negative things to say about it. I mean, if you can get a deal online or some kind’ve coupon for this place, then it would be better, but i’m kind’ve on a budget and I cant afford the $ 180 regular prices the Marriott and other high class hotels with restaurant and bars are charging.
This place is not bad though.

My parents wanted to spend a night in the Bay before driving down to SoCal so they wouldn’t have to hit the road @ 5am. I had never stayed @ a La Quinta before but from the looks of the 1 I used to drive by in Berkeley, my expectations were low.
To my utmost pleasant surprise, this hotel was really nice! It’s located in an industrial «park» so it is quiet but it’s super close to major restaurants, stores, & the freeway. Our room was very spacious & clean except some of the linen had old stains on them. The bathroom was roomy but there wasn’t a ventilation system & there was a fairly prominent rust ring around the bathtub drain. The best part of the hotel was the free wi-​fi which was available everywhere on the property & didn’t require a log-​in. Another really nice accommodation was the complimentary breakfast. I think the menu changes every so often but on the morning I was there, there was yogurt, hard boiled eggs, muffins/​toast/​bagel, cereal, & waffles.

I loved this hotel. It was clean, simple and spacious. There was a mini fridge and microwave. I enjoyed the way the room was decorated and felt that it was more special than the one portrait of a sailboat or whatever that hotels usually have. It was also super cheap. It cost somewhere around $ 60, but I forget the exact price.

This was one of the three hotels my husband and I stayed at when we first moved to the Bay Area and were still looking for an apartment. His place of work was in Mountain View & my good friend’s place in Berkeley, so this location was relatively convenient.

What a dump. I was warned before getting to this hotel that it wasnt very good. I ordered an education package through Unitek, and it included hotel, so this was the place I was stuck at.
First off I want to say that the staff are very nice. I have nothing bad to say about them at all.
Sadly the room is deceptivley nice. When i got in my room, I thought that I had been told wrong that the hotel wasnt good. But it turns out that just because the room is nice does not a nice hotel make.
I was on the 5^th floor, which is the top floor. I have no idea what is going on in that place, but you hear bangs, clanks, cracks, kabooms 24 hours a day in every direction. I dont know why if I was on the top floor, I heard crashes and bangs above me, but I did. It almost seems as though the hotel is still settling on its foundation.
The continental breakfast is terrible. If you dont eat Waffles or fruit loops, you’ll go hungry. That’s about the extent of the menu.
On the 6^th night I was there, some group of people mistaked the hotel for the McDonalds playland. They let their toddlers run up and down the hall screaming at the top of their lungs. I had to go tell them to be quiet, and then a short while later I had to ring the front desk to ask them to help. This isnt the fault of the hotel, but this is the kind of people your bunking with when you stay at a discount hotel.
If your deaf and dont eat, this is a great place. Otherwise I would recommend going elsewhere. Pay a few dollars more for a good nights sleep.

Price point, its too expensive for an ordinary hotel. I’ve checked in here a couple of times and I think for $ 100, I’d rather stay at the Hyatt which is a couple of blocks away from this hotel. I have requested a late check out (only for an hour) since I checked-​in late because my flight was delayed but the desk clerk didn’t have the consideration for this.
It was pricey for just standard amenities and it was kinda noisy right next to the 880 freeway. It was not that accessible to places, you still have to drive. I would rather stay somewhere else than pay high for just standard rooms.

Friendly staff, close to the freeways. Not many places to eat around here unless you like overpriced Korean food and under cooked Chinese food. There is a subway and a McDonald’s around the corner. They do offer free breakfast. I loved the make your own waffle station. The bathroom and the window area had damage in the ceiling from water that leaked previously. The tub has a small section where it doesn’t drain (a little dip) which caused the tub to rust a little. I stayed poolside and there was loud people in the jacuzzi tonight and I can hear them all the way in my room. Other than that it was pretty quiet.
Staff was friendly and allowed me to use the microwave downstairs in the evening to warm up food and popcorn. Plenty of parking and free wifi.
