My experience with Dr Anmol Mahal’s office was very good. I got an appt. the same day since I had an acute problem and after a short wait, I was taken to the exam room by a courteous back office girl who was very efficient and caring. Dr. Mahal came in soon after and took a detailed history and diagnosed my problem right away. He has been my Gastro Enterologist for over a decade and his operative skills are superior and he is a great diagnostician. I would recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Anmol Mahal seems like a nice enough guy, but if you want a doctor that will actually listen to your concerns, go elsewhere. I went to him initially for an endoscopy(which I woke up in the middle of, even after reminding him and his staff that I am resistant to anesthesia), but wound up having even more trouble at my other end due to constipation from nausea and vomiting. He sent me to the emergency room when I called in sobbing from the pain in my arse. Had the doctor there do a CT to check for a fistula. Nothing showed up on the CT, but despite my insistence that I had an infection due to the foul-smelling discharge coming from my anus, completely dismissed my concerns.(Mind you, I am a Certified Medical Assistant, and worked for one of the best Wound & Hyperbaric Clinics in Southern California for well over a year. I KNOWWHATINFECTIONSMELLSANDLOOKSLIKE.) I started to feel better after the round of antibiotics that the ER doctor was kind enough to send me home with, and then I came down with food poisoning.(Totally put the pain in my derrière back at a solid 8 out of 10.) When I called him, he tried to send me back to the ER for another CT. I wonder what his kickback is. I already have a $ 3,000 bill at home for the first one, NOTHANKS. I made an appointment with my primary doctor, who inspected me and said that she wasn’t sure what it was, but it was unlikely to heal without surgery. She then referred me to a peri-rectal surgeon who(finally) stuck a cone-type instrument where the sun doesn’t shine, and discovered my fissure and resulting fistula. After being brushed off by Dr. Mahal for nearly two painful months, I will have my problem fixed in a total span of less than two weeks by my surgeon. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

If you need a procedure, do not go to Dr. Anmol Mahal unless, of course, you have nothing else to do with your time. My husband goes in for an endoscopy annually and every time they take in him 3HOURSAFTERHISAPPOINTMENTTIME! This is abusive, shows a disregard for patients, and is unprofessional. Do not schedule people 3 hours before their procedure. There is always an excuse every year, SORRYNOTEVERYYEAR THESAMEEXCUSE!!!
