We run a clean convenience store and liquor store operations. We take all credit cards and debit cards. We stock a lot of different beverages ranging from Soda and juices to expensive Liquor. We also have a vast beer selection with 11 coolers dedicated just to beer. We are always expanding the selection.

History

Established in 1980.

We took over from Bonfare Market in June of 2013. The store was very dirty when we purchased it. We cleaned it up and added more inventory. A lot of people have noticed the changes we have made. The store has become the neighborhood convenience store everyone was hoping for.

The guy behind the counter is rude and disrespectful. I simply pointed out that the milk he was selling expired a week ago, to which the response was — «What difference does it make». He took no responsibility for keeping expired products on the shelf and went on to blame it on the «south Indian» guy who supplies milk. Then assuming that I am south Indian (which I am not), he went on to tell me that it’s «my guy’s» fault. I was shocked to hear that and my response was — «even if I am from South India, it doesn’t make it right» ! The guy is racist/​discriminates, so try avoiding this place — especially if you are south Indian.

The person working here was very rude. When asked if I could speak to the owner, he said he’s the owner himself. Ok. But here’s the story.
The person was on the phone throughout the whole time I was at the store. I asked him where was Heineken stored and he said «check the cooler.» I checked the cooler and I still couldn’t find it. I asked again and he got mad at me for asking. He raised his voice and pointed at the door and said «can’t you see?» Well Captain Obvious, I obviously cannot find it. That’s why I’m asking you. Anyways, i didn’t end up buying anything from this store.
Horrible people. Wouldn’t do business with them.

Racist Indian owners, dishonest and overpriced dirty store. I was carrying some items up to the counter to pay and some of my Slurppy dripped onto the floor, I placed my items down and asked for a napkin so I could wipe it up and the turbin wearing guy and his wife both srarted yelling like it was a huge deal that I dripped slurppy onto their dirty filthy floor, actually told me ONLY WHITE PEOPLE DO THIS, NEVER A SLURPPY SPILL FROM INDIAN OR CHINESE. WWhat a racist asshole, I will bever shop there again and I will tell everyone I know to stay away, I have lived in Fremont for 45 years and I know alot of people. Avoid Midnight Liquor store on Thornton in Fremont!!!

It’s a nice little liquor store, I believe once upon a time this used to be a Bonfaire Market. I simply went in there for scratchers to feed my gambling habit lol. They had all the scratchers that I liked. The lady behind the counter was very nice and friendly and she also showed me new scratchers that would be coming out later this month. Now that’s what I call good customer service lol.

I’m going to give this guy one star because I don’t like dishonest people and this guy was one tricky MF.
I tried to pay with credit card to save cash and he made an effort to decline multiple cards 3 times and said it was an invalid number. He did this to force me to use my cash.
I used to come here because of convenience but now I’ll prefer to drive the extra mile to go elsewhere.

Midnight takes over from Bonaire. setup vaguely looks the same with the emphasis on beers, wines, hard liquors and snacks.
