History

Established in 1984.

John Moore founded MooreTax Services when he offered to prepare tax returns for his co-​workers at United Airlines. In 1985 he earned his Enrolled Agent’s license, and in 1990 left United to devote his efforts full time to his growing tax practice. With the help of his wife Claire and daughter Charlene, John’s practice expanded to include business services. Moore Tax Service purchased it’s own building (it’s present location) in 1993, and in 1998, Incorporated as Moore Financial Services.

Business Owner

John is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the California Society of Enrolled Agents, and a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute. A motorcycle enthusiast, John is a member of and one of the 5 founders in 1971 of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America. He has also taken up golf, and enjoys spending some time out on the greens.

John has lived in the Tri-​City area for 44 years. He and his wife Claire have been married for 38 years and together they have 5 children. The youngest daughter, Charlene Burkhardt, is the President of Moore Financial Services.
