Description

Specialties

At Play 2 Learn we believe childhood is to be respected and cherished. We believe that each child is unique and has his/her own style of learning. Through art, music, dance, and dramatic play we give children the opportunity to learn and express their thoughts, dreams, and passions. Through contact with nature we give them an opportunity to nurture, explore, investigate, and get down and dirty.

We believe it is a child’s job to play, to develop physical coordination, emotional maturity, social skills to interact with other children, and self-confidence to try new experiences and explore new environments.

An essential component of our philosophy is creating a community of caring adults who value children and the magical time in life known as childhood. By opening up our classrooms to parents and members of the community we foster opportunities for not only learning, but loving.

History

Established in 2007.

Miss Tabitha started this preschool out of her home when she couldn’t find a program that she felt blended purposeful play and academics in a fun and engaging way for her daughter who was 2 years old at the time. Miss Kirsten, the Director, joined Play 2 Learn the following year and together they have gradually built the program to meet the needs of the children and their parents enrolled in their program. This summer, in 2013, they were able to successfully move the preschool from Miss Tabitha’s home to a state licensed facility in the Niles Neighborhood of Fremont. Their new location is directly across from Nile Community Park.
