Quality Cleaning Maid To Order

We had our home in Newark deep cleaned by maid to order and it was a fantastic experience. It was easy to schedule an appointment and the pricing was reasonable. The team arrived on-​time and did great work. They were very friendly and professional. My house looks great. I’d definitely book them again.

We had maid to order do a much needed deep clean of our home after a couple years of two young boys and two dogs ruling the house– they were on time in their stated window and completed the job to our expectations and very efficiently staying within the quoted range. We decided to hire them for biweekly cleans of our home and a month is we are still very pleased with their service and are glad to continue using them– we’ve already recommended them to a few friends as well. Highly recommended!

After reading all the 5-​star reviews on Unilocal,I called and left a message. Realizing the owner was out of town I also sent a message from Unilocal.I did receive a message back from her right away to set up an appointment for a free in-​home estimate when she returned. She did come by as scheduled and gave me a free estimate. Compared to the one I am using now, her estimate was a lot lower, although she didn’t walk through the entire house as she couldn’t go upstairs to see the rooms up there.
That wasn’t a problem so I went ahead and scheduled a one-​time deep cleaning appointment with her. That was supposed to be about two weeks before Thanksgiving. However I got a call prior to the appointment that two people quit so she couldn’t do it in the week I had wanted. She said she will call me when she knew when they can do it. She never call ed me back. I emailed her once asking when, she responded saying she doesn’t know when as she is short staffed. I waited two weeks still no response. As I needed to get my house cleaned, I finally decided to move on. Found Merry Maids, they came as scheduled for a free estimate first, then in the following week their crew came on time and spent nearly 7 hours there cleaning the entire house. Sure their fee is higher but at least they got their job done.
So, basically, the two stars are: one for answering my emails and phone calls, one for coming on site to give free estimate, and no more as they never did the job.

This service would be great for you if you:
A. Stay or work at home full time/​have a highly flexible work schedule OR
B. Have no problem with the cleaning crew accessing your home without you there
The service contract states that «due to the nature of our business and the fact that we 1) travel to customers homes and 2) that we guarantee to complete all tasks agreed upon per each type of „fixed rate“ plan no matter how long it takes.»
Sounds very professional — but the flip side of this is, if you’re not the first appointment of the day (which still allows for a +/​-​15 minute arrival window), the cleaning crew might end up very late for your appointment. Which is not professional or convenient, especially if (like me and my spouse), you work full time but still prefer to be at home when the cleaning crew services your home.
Also due to the nature of their business, Theresa (the owner) is only able to give you one day notice before your cleaning. As in, roughly 24 hours before your cleaning, you will receive an email from Theresa stating «Your home is scheduled for a cleaning tomorrow. I estimate the arrival time to be in the window of time of X and (X+1 hr) pm». And then your job is to scramble to cancel whatever plans you have during X plus 3 – 4 hours, or otherwise ask for a reschedule, which isn’t too possible because the cleaning crews are very booked up.

So I went home at X PM, and by X:22, I requested an updated ETA from Theresa via email (she is so busy that she rarely is able to pick up her phone). 15 minutes later I got her response that my cleaning crew was running late from another home’s cleaning — and that the crew should arrive by (X+1.5 hr) to (X+2 hrs). Keep in mind, I arrived at home by X, in the middle of the work day. So arriving at X+2 hrs, then doing 1 to 1.5 hrs of cleaning, meant I would have been away from the office for 3 to 3.5 hours. I cancelled the appointment and requested a reschedule to next Wednesday or Thursday — and received a response that they were already fully booked next week. This was my cue to move on to another cleaning service.
In conclusion, if you are a working professional — be prepared to cancel or abandon meetings and work around when this cleaning service can fit you in — and sometimes they’ll be rather late, but that possibility is clearly stated in the contract, so no worries.
Other than appointment fiascos, I will honestly say that the cleaning quality is decent. Maid to Order is the first cleaning service I’ve used, and they for sure make a difference in the cleanliness of my home.
So, if you don’t mind opening up at least half your work day to accommodate for when the cleaning crew would arrive, I recommend Maid to Order.

This was our first try at a cleaning service and Teresa (the owner) and her staff did a Phenomenal Job!
The supervisor Yolanda who oversaw the job made sure her team paid attention to EVERY detail and not only did she make sure the job was being done right but that each person on her team was being mindful of time and that they were putting 100% into each minute.
Francis who did amazing on our first floor also made sure to check that her team mate was doing quality work also. Great cooperation.
Trustworthy, great level of detail, and honest. Teresa made sure to bill us only for the time worked and stopped the clock the minute the ladies left our house.
We will definitely be using this service again!

Maid to Order has been cleaning our house for awhile now and I couldn’t be more pleased with their service an quality of work. Theresa is always a pleasant to talk to over the phone, and Rosa and the rest of the cleaning staff are great to work with when they come over to clean. When they come over we always make sure we let them know if there is something we want them to focus more on (bathrooms, kitchen floor, etc). That way they maximize the hours spent at our house and we don’t come home disappointed.
I’m glad they’re being recognized for their work as Best in Fremont!

Unbelievable. I’m extremely disappointed with the level of customer service, and believe me, I am not a difficult customer to please at all.
Here’s what happened: I called the service to schedule a cleaning for my 2 bedroom townhouse. I was given an estimate which seemed reasonable. So I scheduled them. Upon the crew’s arrival I was told the first service was hourly and was given a time estimate in line with the original quote. I signed the document. Well, the crew (of 4) arrived 40 minutes late. Let’s be fair, they did a good job and they left behind no chemical smells. But they took 50% longer than their own initial estimate, and 50 percent longer than any other service I’ve used. 6 man hours to clean a reasonably clean townhouse makes no sense. Part of this was no doubt due to the extra time it took for them to clean up after they broke a glass bulb (and why would I pay for that time?). I wasn’t happy about this at all, since I was basically going to end up paying 50% more than I’d anticipated.
I tried to resolve this off Unilocal with Theresa. I wanted the extra 50% knocked off the the service since I do not believe I should be responsible for ‘all the time the crew of 4 spent’ when some of that extra time was due to a breakage they had caused. Theresa offered me the 50% off by the time I’d completed the third service, by which point I was sufficiently ticked off to not want to deal with a recurring service from this company. Here’s when Theresa went mafia on me and said she’d knock the 50% off, but she never wanted me to call again. Sure, I said. To which she responded that she knew other business owners and she’d be sure to blacklist me as a client. Just, wow.

I contacted Maid to Order last month. At the time I contacted them I found out by Theresa the owner that she was not taking on any new clients due to the fact she was short staffed, however; she set up an appointment for me to come and check out my hourse and give me an estimate of the services I was interested in. She came over and we walked throught my home. She gave me a run down on how her staff cleans and how you can customize what you want. I thought that was fantastic. I was kind of lost since I never had anyone come in and clean my home. I found out how long she has been in business and was impressed to find out its been 29 years and she Diamond Certified and exactly what the means.
I settled on the services I wanted and thought that I wouldn’t be able to get started for a month or two. To my surprise she called and left me a message that my services would start on Friday May 5^th. i was so excited. On May 5^th they came and did a deep cleaning. When I arrived home that evening from work I could not believe my eyes. My house was shinning! I walked around and looked an everything and was so happy. I have to thank Theresa for everything and her company is a keeper. I have been spreading her company name all over work and telling my friends how great the service is. If your looking for a company you can count and rely on please check out Maid to Order it’s all in the name.

Don’t bother calling them if you need cleaning as they are too busy or arrogant to respond. When and if they finally respond to my request, I will tell them I don’t need them anymore! The Best of Fremont does not capture unhappy people. It only captures the number of happy people.

The nice ladies who clean my home are very pleasant and remarkably hardworking. They do a GREAT job! You can’t put a price on the peace of mind that comes with fully trusting the people who enter your home and handle your fragile keepsakes, antiques and glassware. Additionally, I am confident that these ladies are entirely honest and trustworthy in every way. My home always looks clean and tidy after a visit from these industrious workers. The office management has been disorganized on more than one occasion, but the excellence of service provided by the ladies who come to my house far outweighs any shortcomings that might be observed elsewhere in the organization. I highly recommend this cleaning company.

I spoke with Therese a couple of weeks ago. She scheduled a time and was at our place on time. She is so sweet and grandmotherly. I bet you that if you talk to her, you would want her to be a part of your family. She is awesome. She is very professional and provided us a service sheet that outlined the type of services provided.
Her staff is awesome as well. They came on time and did a thorough job. They did the work as if it was their own house. I think Therese’s values and work ethic spilled over. Love their service. They are always available.

My review is not about the quality of housecleaning because I could not get anyone to return my calls or messages to set up a cleaning.
One day I called and a woman answered the phone. To be honest I was in shock. We agreed on a date that she could «possibly» come for an estimate and clean. She let me know she would look at her calendar and call me back to let me know if the date would work. I even explained I can be flexible and any other dates could work if that one couldn’t. She never did call me back. I’m not surprised. I’m a customer looking to give her business at least $ 200 a month for bi-​weekly regular cleaning. I guess she does not want my money. Good luck in trying to get a response back from this business.
Trust me I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called and messages several times to follow up just thinking they are busy.

I had fantastic service with Maid To Order. The two ladies came right on time and I walked them around explained a few things and they got right to work — I left for work and came back home to a nice clean home… what an amazing feeling it was! The fridge and microwave were spotless, the two things I hate cleaning the most! Lol and the bathrooms :) I will definitely be using this service again, I’m thinking about signing up for a monthly plan but will have to wait until after my wedding to put that expense on my list :)

It was so nice to view your website with straight forward information on what is done during a cleaning visit.
I filled out a quick form online, within about less than an hour I received a call from Theresa the owner and she was able to get my apartment on the schedule for that same week on Friday. The two cleaning professionals arrived on time and we’re very courteous. They did a walk through and we chatted about where I needed special attention to. They were really easy to work with as my husband and I were working from home that day.
When they were done cleaning I did a quick walk through and everything was thoroughly cleaned and put back where it was before the cleaning.

It’s such a great feeling coming home to a beautifully clean house and it’s even better when I wasn’t the person who had to clean it!
The first company we hired did a horrible job, the house smelled like chemicals, and the hard wood floors had a sticky residue so I was apprehensive hiring an another company. However, I AM SO HAPPY WE HIRED MAID TO ORDER!
My husband booked the appointment and went over the details regarding what we wanted done. The next week we had an appointment and the house was spotless! The sheets were changed, floors mopped, all surfaces dusted, all elements of the bathroom perfectly clean, and many other random cleaning tasks I don’t often think about.
A hilarious WARNING: Maid To Order cleaned our shower doors so well (apparently I wasn’t doing that good of job) that not once, but twice I heard a random, thud followed by a really loud «OUCH». Apparently the shower doors were so clean my husband thought the glass shower door was open and ran right into it.
Overall we’ve been extremely satisfied not only with the service, but with the price as well. I would highly recommend Maid To Order.

I went through 2 other cleaning services and was displeased with the quality of work before working with maid to order. I am particular about specific details of the cleaning and they were very accommodating.

I think I’ve tried every cleaning service in the area but I have found the true gem. Maid to Order truly does a great job of cleaning my house. They are conscientious and take great care with my belongings. Theresa, the owner, makes periodic visits with the crew to ensure things are done right. Nothing better than coming home from work to a sparkling clean house.
I would highly recommend this service to my friends and family.

I called several if not all of the cleaning services who service the Fremont area in a bit of a panic. My father was coming home after emergency surgery and an extended hospital stay with a high risk of infection. I needed his room and bathroom cleaned. I’m disabled and could not do the work not to mention I was commuting back and forth from the hospital.
No one had any available time, everyone was at least two weeks out.
That included Maid to Order however Theresa, after hearing my predicament, said «Let me check our schedule». She found two hours in between two other appointments where she could send her crew; three of them. This must have cost the girls their break/​lunch time but they arrived very friendly (including Theresa) and got right to work.
I cannot begin to explain how grateful I was on that day and what a huge help they were. I was desperate. I give them 5 stars for their compassion and willingness to help out. No one else even thought to see if they could squeeze me in.
Their work is good, it isn’t perfect but Theresa always tries to correct any missed areas and pays attention to personal requests. No one cleans your house like you, I know this, but they do a very good job none the less — and they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!
I now use their service monthly.

I decided to hire a house cleaning company after having extensive surgery that made it impossible for me to clean my house while recovering. I did an Internet search and was immediately impressed with Maid to Order’s website… very professional, informative, and «cute» at the same time! In order to remain objective, I wrote down and called the numbers of three or four other companies as well; however, representatives of those companies either didn’t return my calls or were extremely rude and unprofessional. Theresa, the owner of Maid to Order, was the exception… quick call back, friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating. An interview was set up within the next couple of days.
Theresa was on time and very well prepared when she came to my home. She listened to what I had to say, quickly assessed what I needed, and provided me with a very reasonable estimate for twice a month cleaning. My first cleaning was scheduled for the following week.
I have now been with Maid to Order for over three years, and I am extremely happy with their service. Everyone who has come to my house has been friendly, professional, trustworthy, and accommodating. My house is CLEAN… despite having a dog who loves to get into mischief (ie: swiping their cleaning supplies and hiding them in her dog house!). Theresa and her staff love animals… and my little mischief-​maker loves them! Green cleaning products are used, and great care is taken to ensure the safety of pets.
Hiring Maid to Order was one of the best decisions I have made! I highly recommend Theresa and her staff… and would not ever even consider anyone else!

We’ve been using Maid To Order for about a year now, and consider them an upgrade from the service we used at our old house. They’re friendly and reliable, they communicate well and are careful with our furniture and belongings (both were issues with our last cleaning service), and they cheerfully touch-​up/​re-​do any spots that get missed. They also use environmentally friendly products, which is important to us.
We do find that a quick walk-​through is needed before they leave, as more often than not they’ve missed something minor. I’ve also noticed that the sweeping-​and-​mopping of the kitchen and bathroom floors tends to leave some small spots/​grubble behind, although this often isn’t apparent until after the floors have dried. However, I think these are issues that come up with most services, and Maid To Order is superior in most other respects.
