I want to thank Brian and everyone at Swat Customs for the work they’ve done on my truck! Brian provided the best customer service of any shop, always giving me the best estimates and price of anyone in the bay area, not to mention always getting back to me with an estimate within a few hours. The work they did was beyond fast and I RECOMMEND SWAT CUSTOMS TO ANYONE LOOKING TO GET WORK DONE ON THERE VEHICLE!

Did a great job on my tacoma. Got the rims to fit even though 4 wheel parts suggested rims that were not actually compatible with my truck.

I highly recommend SWAT Customs. The shop is only open Monday through Friday, but I requested a Saturday install. The gentlemen whom I spoke too had to check with his boss to see if they could do a Saturday install given they are closed on the weekends. Sure enough the shop honored my request to install my suspension on a Saturday morning.
Thanks to SWAT customs my 2014 4Runner looks amazing! They installed my King Coilovers 2.0’s and 5100’s in the rear in only three hours. The shop is clean and the owner is super friendly. SWAT Customs is the place to go! And all of my future upgrades on my 4Runner will be installed by SWAT. Top notch service. You’d be crazy to go to any other shop. Thanks guys!

Just wanted to say a big Thank You to Brian and the guys at SWAT Customs. I had been looking for a place to get a 6″ lift with wheels and tires. Emailed them requesting a quote and they answered the same day with a quote that was unbeatable. Brian and the crew at SWAT got me what I wanted and more. They went above above and beyond. My 13′ GMC Denali now has a 6″ Fabtech lift kit with 20″ DC wheels and 35″ Cooper tires. If you are looking to modify your truck, jeep or car come to these guys they will never steer you in the wrong direction. Thanks Guys!

Got a 2.5 inch lift on my 2007 Jeep JKU this morning. It was installed in a few hours. Much quicker and way less than other shops. Staff is awesome and super friendly and very pleasant to speak with. I’m new to the lift thing and i never felt uncomfortable. Where as the other places, they would give a mean look like if you don’t know what you want or ask too many questions, just get out.
SWAT Customs was very helpful and patient since I was not sure what I wanted.
I picked up after work and smiled with joy when i saw it. Nice lift. It drives really nice too. It seems stiffer, which is good. I will definitely refer people here. And will come back for upgrades :)

I had been looking at tons of different lifts and aftermarket parts for my wifes jeep. She had been asking to lift it since we bought it but I didn’t want to pull the trigger until I knew what would look right. After I had all the parts picked out I wanted. I found all of the parts I liked online, then called up SWAT Customs and told them the online prices I had found and I would rather buy local then order online and have installed. SWAT was able come so close to the online prices and did a phenomenal job with the install. In and out in a day and the new look of the Jeep is killer. Thank you George and Brian at SWAT.

This is my 1^st Unilocal review (would usually not bother). Have to give it up for these guys though. I brought my 05 4runner sport in there for a 3 inch lift (Toytec Ultimate). Most shops won’t touch a sport because of the Xreas system and the fear of god knows what. These guys knew what they were dealing with and were’nt afraid to do it and stand behind the work. I also got new upper control arms, CV axles and tires. Toytec advertised it as a ³⁄₂ lift but it was actually a ⁴⁄₃ lift and it made the passenger outer CV boot slide off of the groove. This could have easily ended up a pissing contest because a lot of labor would have to go into remedying this… Not with these guys. Not even a question. They took it back, replaced the axle and brought the front down to the 3inches it was supposed to be. The 4runner with lift and AT tires that are 2 sizes bigger than stock actually drive better than stock. The only difference my wife notices is that it is harder to get into.
Another thing I have to talk about is I had done months of research before getting this lift and was well aware of the problems that could arise. This translated into me having many back an forth emails of questions and concerns before I even commited to getting the lift at there shop (I had to be annoying) and they were patient with me and addressed all my concerns. On top of that, their labor prices were more than fair for a shop that specializes in suspesion work or any shop for that matter. I would also suggest to get tires through these guys as well. They really worked with me on price and its a one stop shop, suspension, tires and alignment. These guys are no bullcrap and excellent work… I will most definitely go back and have no problem driving the 50 miles to get to them.

Installed bilstein 5100 f/​r shocks here on my tundra… Took about 3 hours, just make sure your quote is stated clearly over the phone, so no confusion… Otherwise truck looks and rides better than stock

Still one of the best places I have ever been in my time. Fast honest what a great selection of parts and advise. I live in the Sacramento area and I will drive or tow all my cars & vehicles to be worked on by George. And the sales manager Brian has never let me wrong and always push me into the right parts and repair. Give them a try they definitely do what others promise. The experience will change your life, I would not have anyone else touching any of my cars and trucks

Was here earlier today, the salesperson helped me out a whole lot. I gave him an amount of money that I was willing to spend and he gave me a great price for a 6 inch lift for my 11 f-​150. They even said that they would be able to get my lift kit installed on the same day. I would highly recommend this shop. Great service and customer care!!! I can’t wait to get my lift installed. Would definitely be back for more truck parts and needs.

After going from place to place George definitely took care of me. He knew exactly what I wanted and what I was looking for.

These guys are good period… This is my third car I have had lowered by SWAT. I come from the city to get it done, definitely worth the drive. I have seen this shop grow tremendously and it’s easy to see why as they do good work.

George is awesome. I found him on Unilocal and it was the best find. He helped me install my AEV 2.5 lift along with installing my 35in tires on my Jeep Wrangler. He is fairly busy so you have to call him to make an appointment. Can’t just show up and expect stuff to be done. Great work and awesome place.

SWAT Customs is operated and owned by George and he’s every bit as professional, friendly, and knowledgeable as the other reviewers state. I’ve always had lifted Jeeps and trucks and had dealt with «big name» shops in both Oakland and San Jose on previous occasions, only to find that these «big name» shops took a long time to install the lift, which translated to steep labor charges and a major inconvenience (e.g. two days to do a lift and alignment).
In contrast, George and SWAT Customs did the install on my Jeep in one half day and he’s very upfront about pricing, which is far more reasonable than others when it comes to the labor/​installation. I now get the impression that I was paying to have the competitors’ take an extended lunch break on my dime. Wait a minute … there is no real competition to SWAT Customs now that I think about it.
I’m going to be going back to George to have my truck lifted this Summer … absolutely no hesitation in recommending this business to family and friends with a solid 5 STARS!

Thanks to a wonderful upgrade suspension job by George at SWAT Customs, our 11 year old SUV has a new life.
The original suspension on our Yukon tended to bounce and sway a lot and would make for a nerve wracking ride going around corners on long trips, especially through rain or snow. It didn’t matter if we had a lot of stuff (weight) in the back, or nothing — everything tended to rock and sway during turns or stops.
Thanks to fellow Unilocaler reviews for SWAT Customs we contacted George and explained our problem. In short order he gave us a range of options — and here’s the beauty of SWAT Customs — raise it as high as their show truck on display, or slam it like a pickup truck racer, it’s there for the asking. George sagely suggested we start with a moderate change into new stiffer shocks and springs that would also lower the ride height both front and rear.
The quote for parts and labor was very reasonable so we left our vehicle with SWAT for about a week. When we went back to pick it up — wow, the difference in feel driving it around was immediately noticeable. The steering had tightened up, stopping was easier, speed bumps didn’t cause the side to side rocking as before, and the lower ride height allowed us to see traffic through the rear view mirror better.
There’s still enough clearance to go over the occasional curb or go up a moderate slope and all, but now it’s more stable and drives like a car. Thank you George and SWAT, you’ve given our SUV at least another 10 years!

I rarely write reviews but George deserves one. He goes above and beyond for the customer and gets the job done. I was kind of picky with what I wanted but he was very patient. The truck rides great and if I have any other off-​road modifications I need help with I’m taking it back to him.

I’ve been using George (Swatt Customs) since about 2004 right after I bought my 2004 F350 King Ranch 4×4. I live up in Sonoma County and I use George for all my serious suspension, running gear, shocks, brakes, ball joints, etc. Where it is critical.
George is very experienced and has done it all before, he’s a qualified Truck Mechanic. By the way, my business is Engineering Construction where I am on the freeway driving to Fresno or LA at 3 AM on my way to a 10 AM meeting, then driving the freeway looking at sites in heavy traffic off the shoulder, in the dirt. Sometimes up in Tahoe where the snow is deep and slippery. I depend on my truck, and I depend on George. You’ll never regret choosing Swatt for whatever truck work yo’d want done. ND, he’s honest and reasonable, try that at your dealer? No comment.

George at Swat Customs is the man!!! I just had new tires, rims, shocks, and a lift kit installed on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma, as well as an alignment. Needless to say George made my day! You can tell he really puts passion into his work.
I was referred from a buddy who works at 4Wheel Parts in San Jose. The price George quoted me for the install was good, and the job he did was even better! We talked on the phone to coordinate when would be a good time to bring in my truck. Once there, George recommended Starbucks (about a 5 minute walk from his shop) where my girlfriend could pick me up while I wait.
This dude is super cool. He phoned me in the afternoon to let me know my truck was done. When I got there, I was on cloud 9 when I saw my truck with her new wheels and lift! I could not be happier, so happy in fact that I had to let the world know here on Unilocal.I uploaded a pic of my truck so you can see for yourself, its the 2007 Silver Toyota Tacoma with 16 inch Moto Metal 951s, Pro Comp 265 75 16 All Terrains, and a 2.5 inch leveling kit. So, if you are in the market for lifting your truck, Swat Customs is the only choice, period.

I went her this last week due to the Unilocal reviews. They are correct. I bought a new 2013 Wrangler two door and needed the works. George nailed the job in two days and I dropped the car off the day I bought it so the transformation was almost immediate. Nothing worse than cruising a stock jeep and that experience only lasted for 14 miles!
Picked out aggressive 33;s, Pro-​Comp wheels, 2.5 inch lift, cool nerf bars, WARN bumpers and 10K winch.
Had to do a write up as I was very happy with the service and price but most importantly is the expertise. I wanted somebody who only does this type of work and he has been doing it for well over ten years.
