Established in 1989.

Fresh Meadows Animal Clinic was established 25 years ago. The business has become a community staple, serving the veterinary needs of local and neighboring boroughs of Queens since its inception. With the leadership of Dr Jeremy Cohen and our amazing support staff, the newly remodeled clinic is poised for the future, committed to offering excellent service and availability at reasonable rates.

Dr. Jeremy Cohen takes over the reigns as the new Medical Director of FMAC in 2014. He is following in the footsteps of founding veterinarians Scott and Bruna Dinetz, whom he has worked with closely and greatly admires for their dedication to their practice. Dr. Cohen looks forward to holding up the high standards of care and excellent reputation of Fresh Meadows Animal Clinic and serving the pets and special people in our community.

Dr COHEN is a caring and attentive veterinarian– Took time to listen and explain my cats issues– Rates were reasonable and didn’t have to wait long to see the doctor.

When I asked for a lock of my guinea pigs hair after she died before she went to be cremated, I should have been allowed to.
And Dr. Cohen if your staff is so competent, I left a distinct message for you to call me to discuss. So first your staff is competent who didn’t take a piece of hair before her being sent to be cremated and then you don’t call me as I asked. Easy to blame someone else. Shame on you. Sorry your staff is not competent. And I will call the pet cemetary and let them know that you think their staff is not competent.
I am confident this never would have happened with Dr. Dinetz and her staff.

Dr. Cohen is the best vet I’ve ever known!!! He deserve a 10 staaaaaar. Very gentle to my pets despite the size (I have a golden retriever and a ragdoll). Gives lots of friendly tips and very courteous to owners. Also all the staff are very friendly too!
This is a small but simple clinic. Has everything you need. Quite and bright

I took my dog there for a second opinion on a chronic diarrhea condition, Dr. Cohen was fantastic. He explained everything and answered all of my questions — very patiently. He provided my dog with a plan of action for getting her off of a chicken and rice diet to a dry food diet. His office even called to follow up, twice. He will remain as our vet!

Took my pup to his first visit. What a wonderful visit! We were seen on time and filled out paperwork, which was one page. The doctor and his staff were very professional! He’s knowledgable, open to questions and advised what the next steps would be. My puppy was very comfortable in his office and the office was clean. I will be going back !

Hands down Dr. Cohen is one of the best veterinarians around and we have been to our fair share. His love of animals is obvious and his knowledge and skills top notch. It would be hard pressed to find such a great Vet and office. His staff is courteous and his office is immaculate.
I love the personal service you receive. So glad we found Dr. Cohen.

My Westie had a ear infection & he needed an quick visit. I was able to schedule a appt on Sat. He is an excited dog, & just needs attention when outside. Dr. Cohen was real patient with My Westie & he diagnosed the problem. They even sent follow up emails, very attentive and good service.
I plan on going again, this vet is very close to home & convenient. The vets seem very nice & experienced with animals.

I’ve been to Dr. Cohen, I would say about 5+ visits at this point, for both my dog and my cat (along with another foster cat). Each time, the office was able to accommodate a quick appointment and has even squeezed me in same day regarding an emergency with my cat. Dr. Cohen is knowledgeable and takes his time during the visits. I also appreciate the follow up calls and emails to see if symptoms/​issues have resolved for my fur babies. Honestly, I feel that his prices are pretty fair and definitely on the lower end for private vet clinics in the area. I have already recommended this clinic to a few friends, and I will continue coming here for years to come.
It also says wonders to the doc and staff that my dog isn’t terrified to come here each time. Kudos!

We have a very special needs french bulldog. He’s been coming here since he was 10 weeks old and they’ve taken great care of him. The staff is always welcoming and Dr. C makes sure that our dog is not over-​medicated. Really grateful that they’re close to home and it’s relatively easy to make an appointment.

The clinic is small with one doc, keeping it personal. Dr. Cohen was rlly gentle towards my dog despite the fact I have a male dog that’s not neutered. My dog got aggressive when he tried to approach him but Dr. Cohen got it under controlled after he put a muzzle on him. I really like the environment and staff was very friendly.

I was so impressed with the blond vet tech (sorry, didn’t get her name). She was so sweet to my dog. I also observed her working with a couple of other dogs which she showed genuine affection and care. They scheduled my appointment quickly on the day I had requested. Even though I was a few minutes late, the Dr. did not keep me waiting and honored the complementary first appointment offer. I am very pleased!

The staff really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We brought our Scottish Fold Kitten to see Dr. Cohen a year ago when we first got her.
A year later, we brought her in for an annual checkup and we were seen within minutes. Dr. Cohen and staff really made us feel like they genuinely cared for the well being of our cat and we could not be happier with how they treated us.

My boyfriend rescued a stray cat and brought her home where we have two other cats. The first thing we both said was «She needs to get checked» We googled the nearest most affordable vet that would take walk-​ins and appeared to Fresh Meadows Animal Clinic.
The facility is bright and clean and has great energy flowing through it.
Despite the fact that we were told that Dr. Cohen was booked fully and we might need to wait a bit we were seen immediately!
Dr. Cohen and his nurse handled our new kitty with such love and care! They were thorough, fast and kind! We expressed our concerns about this new comer and our other cats and Dr. Cohen recommended ways of comfort that have proved sufficient as we begin to acclimate her with our other pets.
After an amazing fast and efficient exam we got to the front desk and was amazed at the price! We got everything we wanted done and our pockets were happy!
Dr. Cohen doesn’t know it yet but he will soon as we’ve decided that he will be our new vet for all of our animals!

Everyone here is really nice! They all take excellent care of my fur babies, and they help me take better care of them too. If you need advice or have any questions like how much food you should feed, they are always there for you. You can tell their priorities are in the right place.
Oh, you could also ask them about Noël– she’s a groomer who’s at that vet location and she does a wonderful job for a reasonable fee.

I love that they’re closeby and everyone there is friendly and love Gizmo. Gizmo loves everyone there up until it’s time for his exam, then he doesn’t want to go in the exam room! Anyway, Gizmo has seen Dr Cohen 4x now, and we’ve not had any issue with him or his team. So far, so good!

Just over a year ago I switched from my Vet to Dr. Cohen (mostly for convenience) but I was pleasantly surprised by the care in which Dr. Cohen treats my little ginger! She has been in his office with a slew of problems– ear infections, belly rash and most recently hip arthritis. I always feel that I understand what it is that Ginger is going through and what it is that I have to do (at my other vet I always left confused!)
Also– I don’t feel like Dr. Cohen pushes any products or services on me. With Gingers hip arthritis I thought for sure the doctor would push drugs and surgery but he was very thorough in presenting all my options and not pushing for the most expensive and invasive process first! I have recommended Dr. Cohen to a few local friends and family and everyone seems to be very happy!

After leaving messages to call me for an emergency appointment and not returning any call for three days now, i’m really disappointed and in need of a better vet who cares for his/​her patients. I can’t believe no one has called to even acknowledge they received my messages or to ask what’s wrong with our cat. I need a new vet.

I’ve been coming to this animal clinic for years now and thought that we never had to look for another vet again but then Dr Bruna and Marta left and now it’s not the same anymore.
Dr. Cohen disregarded all of the previous reports that we had on our dogs and only cared about more more lab tests. We also noticed that the costs of each visit is getting a lot more expensive ever since he took over.
Desperately looking for another vet. If you know any good ones, please msg me.

Dr. Cohen & his staff are very kind, accommodating, & helpful. Their office is clean and it’s always easy to schedule an appointment.
I have been bringing my kittens here since I first became their mommy. My kittens have seen Dr. Cohen for everything from vaccinations to X-​rays to checkups. He is very patient and always answers any questions I have. He has also helped me clip my kittens’ nails a few times because I can never get them to stay still. The vet techs, Katherine & Jessie are also really great and helpful. Overall, great vet office.
Bonus tip– Dr. Cohen offers a complimentary exam for new patients.

I’ve been bringing my three dogs for the past few months to Dr. Cohen and I couldn’t be any happier. The staff is absolutely wonderful, the two receptionists I’ve dealt with are amazing with my dogs. It’s a very welcoming atmosphere. My dogs are always treated so well.
The office is always very clean and neat which is so important. Whenever I’ve had tests ran I always receive a prompt call with the results. Any issues my dogs have had have always been explained thoroughly and I appreciate the different options I’ve been presented with. I can’t say enough about how great they really are.
I have complete trust in them to take care of my dogs and I highly recommend using them.
