My boyfriend and I just moved to our very first apartment with beautiful wooden floors… to discover we had to carpet all 4 of our rooms! I was devastated. I have never been a carpet kind of girl, I hate the idea of vacuuming, stain removal etc. I was dreading picking out a carpet, I did some research and found Union Carpet. Simon gave me some great options based on my description and helped me narrow it down. I learned so much about carpets in my short time in the store. I ended up taking home a few samples which was nice, there was no pressure to buy on the spot. We couldn’t be more pleased. Simon and his team were great to work with from start to finish. Union Carpet goes the extra mile to do an exceptional job, I highly recommend them.

I visited many different carpet places in hopes to find a carpet not only perfect for my home but something that matched my budget. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and helped. Simon helped me find the perfect carpet for me in my price range. He showed me many different options that I could choose from. The store was very clean and organized. Once I found the perfect carpet for me Simon scheduled an appointment for the space to be measured the very next day. A few days later the installation began and the guys were very friendly, patient, and respectful in my home. I was amazed when they were done with how good it looked. They didn’t leave my house until they knew for sure I was satisfied, they cleaned up everything and didn’t leave any mess. A few days later I got a follow up call making sure the installation went smoothly and I was happy with everything. Great staff and great customer service. I was in search of a very specific area rug to match my couch in my living room and I had a budget I needed to keep. The store was super easy to find on the corner of Union Turnpike and 179^th street. Shabi worked with me to achieve exactly what I wanted. They came to my apartment to measure the space and delivered the rug within the next few days. I’m so happy with the finished product and I stayed within my budget. I’m so happy I found this place. Definitely recommend going to here to get any kind of carpeting for your home.

Spent a number of weeks looking for wall to wall carpeting in my bedroom and used Unilocal as a guide. It didn’t take long to find Union Carpet. I went to the store a few weeks ago and Simon showed me many choices and advised on what would be the best given what I was looking for. Some of the guys came to my house to measure the living the next day. Installation went very smoothly and they exceeded all my expectations. The selection was great and the prices were fair. I also received a follow up call to make sure I was happy with the install. Great place — highly recommend.

I’ve been to several tile stores in Queens and Union Carpet is by far the BEST in terms of selection and service. Prior to my appointment, Simon called to confirm we were still on schedule and when he would be on his way, which is always a plus when it comes to customer service. Simon helped my husband and I tremendously by giving us ideas of what would match well with our new home. He found tiles for our bathroom and accent tiles that would coincide with them. Union Carpet’s showroom is fantastic — super organized and plenty to choose from in their huge selection. I will definitely go back for more home projects and have recommended them to my friends already!

Just got my new rug from union carpet! They have so many samples — wall to wall selection of high quality carpet and tiles. Simon and his crew are amazing, so polite, friendly and efficient. I wish it was possible to give more than 5 stars.

To replace the carpet in my house, and I saw a shop full of Types of carpets and wood floor,
I came to the right place and we order of the a carpet at a good price, thank you Mr. Simon

Now first off, I’ll start with the positive. They did an amazing job with the carpet, the padding is super thick, and the gave us great advise on which carpet was the right fit for us.
Long story of complaints below:
Now this carpet was for my grandfather’s home, and he lives in an co-​op building. We were doing the living room, bedroom, and hallway, so there really wasn’t room in the apt to put the new carpet (and old, once they took it out) while they were working, so they left it in the hallway. The building had already been overly nice and made accommodations so we could put the old carpet in their garbage room, something they don’t usually do.
So, his neighbors made multiple complaints to the super, office and doorman because the do not allow things left in the hallway, and the carpet guys brushed them off 5 times saying ok. And after the fifth time the security in the building came up and said if they didn’t remove the carpet the super would shut down the install. Well after that, they agreed to bring it downstairs. The super told me they were going to charge my grandfather a fee for some reason.
So as they finished and were leaving I told the carpet installed my grandfather was going to call the store to pay. But as a prelude, I called the store to let them know about the carpet in the hallway issue and tell them about the fee they caused on us, so we could maybe work out to pay most right away and the rest after we spoke to the building. BUT, once I started telling her over the phone, she starts yelling at me and saying I’m lying and then assumes I said I wasn’t going to pay. I called back a little while later to speak to the boss, and the same thing happened. So he tells the installer not to leave without the money, so they come back upstairs and start harassing me for the money. Now, I’m in my 20s and alone so I wouldn’t open the door, and they continued to harass me for almost an hr, until I opened the door and gave him my grandfather’s office number to call. This whole ridiculousness of Union Carpet refusing to listen, has cancelled out how happy I was with the carpet and I will never be going back. If only they had simply listened…

Purchased carpet for bedroom. Two years after installation, the carpeting began to buckle on one side of the room. They charged me $ 150 to re-​stretch the carpeting. When I complained that I shouldn’t be charged for their shoddy workmanship, I was told that this had never happened before and I must be at fault. What?

I came across Union Carpet as a recommendation from family. I had them carpet rooms in my home and install a runner on the stairs.
I was shocked with the professionalism by the owner.
I just recently took them for my work place in the city, which was absolutely no problem for them.
Im glad I took them and will def recommend them to friends.

Their website claims they carry area rugs but when I went to the store I was told that they only have them in books. Before I could ask to look at the books, I was told to go to National Liquidators for cheap area rugs that will last 2 – 3 years… I’m not sure how that’s supposed to help me if I want a good quality rug for my house. A complete waste of my time! CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!
