US Post Office

A veritable hole in the wall location. I have seen homeless people in the Union Square train station house themselves in larger makeshift shelters then this place. There is always a line! Why not considering there is only 1 person working as a clerk here at all hours of the day. Imagine the fun at lunch hour!
I came here to inquire about processing a claim for damage on 05/​27/​2015. The one sole clerk informed me incorrectly after speaking to another hidden employee in the ‘back” of the cardboard box façade of a PO, that I had to go to a location that «delivers mail» — I was told to go to the Fresh meadows branch. So I did. Guess what? I was told by the decrepit and rather rude east Indian woman to go to the Jamaica branch since that was closest to my home address. Are you fucking kidding me? I am already here. What fucking difference does it make considering all these cretins work for the same inept and hopefully soon to be bankrupt government agency! Did she forget Gandhi said, you must be the change you wish to see in the world. I guess the Fresh Meadows PO world kinda sucks then.
As for this little puny cubbyhole of a location… how about making it 100% automated. Just a mail drop slot and kiosk selling stamps. Get rid of the solitary clerk who clearly does not know anything about processing claims as I was given incorrect information.
