Anderson Landscape Design and Maintenance

We had our whole backyard done by Anderson Landscape. We are very happy with it. It was all dirt before. They did a sprinkler system, sod and flowers. I told him what we wanted and the owner was very knowledgeable and told us what plants were low maintenance. He didn’t seemed bothered by all our questions which I really liked. We also told him we had dogs so we wanted the sod that wouldn’t die when they went to the bathroom on it. We had this done over a year ago and are still happy with the results. Go to their website and right now they have a $ 1999 deal. Our backyard was big so we had to pay more, but still a good price.

They did an excellent job installing a brand new sprinkler system and replacing the lawn in my back yard. They worked very quickly and were even able to accommodate my demanding schedule and have the work done sooner than originally promised so the yard would look nice for a party I was throwing. The sprinklers and lawn are still going strong three years later! The price was great too.

I hired Anderson Landscaping to do the plumbing work involved in converting my older manual sprinkler valves to newer electrically controlled automated valves. (I performed the low voltage electrical work and timer installation myself).
THE GOOD: The work was generally well done and of fairly high quality. The person I talked to on the phone (the owner of the company) was friendly and accommodating. The work was completed in a timely fashion. They have an exceptional web site with lots of information and a way to contact them online.
THE BAD: The workers left behind some trash in the yard (product packaging and teflon tape pieces, to be exact). When the owner called me to gather more information in response to my work request email, he neglected to mention the 3% surcharge for the use of a credit card as payment. He didn’t mention this until the work was completed and he called to get the credit card information, even though my original work request specified that I’d be using a credit card as payment. Also, the overall cost was rather high considering the limited work that was done.
CONCLUSION: I’d recommend Anderson Landscaping, but only if you are very specific from the beginning about what work you expect to be completed. Ask detailed questions about the price for both materials and labor. Get it in writing. In my opinion, the quality of work is moderately good, but the business practices could use improvement.
