We actively lobby our state representatives, on your behalf, concerning legislative issues that constantly challenge our States insurance market place. We represent you as our client, our mission statement is simple — Understand our clients needs, identify our clients risks, provide costs affective strategies to manage them both.

History

Established in 1994.

Burns & Whitaker was formed as a result of an expansion of Bill Joe Murphy Insurance Services Inc. which was founded in 1994 by Bill Joe Murphy in Sonora CA. Manuel Whitaker, CEO reached out to Tom Burns to join forces and build an incredible agency to serve the insurance needs of the entire state of California and most western states.

Business Owner

I started in the insurance industry in 1989 while attending California State University, Fresno. I was the founder of Costless Reliable Insurance Agency Inc. which I ran from 1994 until I sold it in 2007. I had purchased Bill Joe Murphy Insurance and split this agency off prior to the sell. Bill still runs the day to day operations of the Bill Murphy Insurance office located in Sonora CA. to this day.
