Crescent View South Charter School

I graduated from Crescent View South in 2010. I was thinking about attending West Hills Community College in Lemoore, but Ms. Parkin really motivated me and pushed me to apply to California State University, Fresno. Fresno state was intending on turning me down because I was short 10 foreign language credits, despite having completed my credits needed to graduate. Two months after getting my diploma from Crescent View South, I received a letter from Fresno State advising me that I had one week to make up 10 credits! I contacted Ms. Parkin, and she helped me go back to Crescent View South for a week to cram 10 credits of Spanish in one week! (Post diploma). I ended graduating from Crescent View with about 20 credits past the required amount to graduate and I got accepted into Fresno State. I pursued my degree in Criminology and I am currently attending a Police Academy and pursuing my dream of becoming a police officer. Crescent View and teachers like Ms. Parkin definitely pushed and motivated me. I picked up the independent study techniques that helped me in my college studies. I still keep in contact with Ms. Parkin and she gives me great advice and has been extremely supportive of my career goals! We need more teachers like her in our school systems! Especially with the generation of kids that are growing in today’s society who do not have a strong support system at home. She is a great role model and and has played a huge role in motivating me to succeed! Keep up the great work Ms. P!

I am writing this review based on the senior school trip last night in to this morning. My review is solely based on the actions of teacher Rebecca Parkins (sp). Me. Rebecca Parkins took pictures of students using her camera app AND instagram sent the pictures to her boyfriend. She made derogatory comments to her boyfriend about students including a «he/​she» comment. She said where students could hear about her personal life including being left by her ex. Having four children, and now having a new boyfriend. Complaining about her personal expenses (5200 in extra expenses) and car insurance payments. Ms. Rebecca Parkins (sp) is unprofessional and immature at best.
