My fiancé took our car in to this place about a month ago. Charged her $ 90 bucks for a diagnostic which revealed nothing wrong except the gas cap to the gas tank was not tightened all the way. Nothing else was wrong with the car other than low AC fluid which we knew about and told them to replace when she dropped off the car. They charged another $ 95 bucks for the AC.
It’s a business. I get it. But you could knock a few bucks off when we are hiring you to do something else to the vehicle and the diagnostic reveals nothing wrong with the car.
In all fairness, this place is highly recommended by a friend of mine, and the car has been fine since then. But we won’t be returning.

This is by FAR the best place I have ever been to for just an oil change Tommy was the prime example of 150% Customer Service from helping me in my transaction to charging my phone and he was an expert on guiding me on what I should fix, prices were great! I expect to do my business here from now on great service & really fast! Best in Fresno by FAR!

This is a decent place that does decent work. The hourly shop rate is almost the same as some dealerships wich is crazy. Better off in that case going to your dealership but who wants to pay that much for simple work.
All in all an ok shop but too pricey for the quality of work your getting. I would recommend coming in for simple automotive stuff like tune ups or oil changes.

Took my car in for an oil change & instead of putting synthetic oil in my car ;like my car calls for they put regular motor oil in my car. Called back to ask why they didn’t put the oil that was clearly labeled on my car cap as synthetic & was told that I had to request synthetic when I originally called for the appointment in the first place & stated my car needed synthetic & I was willing to pay the extra. Not only was the guy rude, but made it seem like I never «requested «when I did. But what kind of company doesn’t offer regular or synthetic when seeing a vehicle clearly calls for synthetic? Why would they not give a customer the option to decide instead of just putting regular oil? A bunch of inexperienced mechanics who cant even put correct oil in a car. Will NEVER go back.

Found CT Auto Repair on Unilocal when I was looking for a reputable place to take my car in for 100,000 mile checkup. I change the oil regularly, but have not had a maintenance checkup since 60,000 miles. Had taken car for earlier oil changes and maintenance checkups at the dealer where I bought the car 5 years ago. The last time I was there changing the oil, they kept trying to sell me about 5 different mechanical repairs and each ranged from $ 250.00 plus. Since I was on a budget and couldn’t afford the work, I only had the oil change done. Unfortunately, I believe that being female and senior, most places think they can sell unneeded services by making a person believe, there would be a breakdown if this or that isn’t fixed. That was a really bad experience and never went back, After that just went to Walmart for basic oil change. I found owner, Farley very professional, knowledgeable, and very reasonable with his pricing. The first visit was to have the car looked at for anything that needed repairs and an oil change. A change of serpentine belt was recommended and had that done my second visit which was a week later. Each visit only took an hour and waited in his waiting room. It was a good sign that he had lots of repeat customers who had been bringing their vehicles to him for many years. So glad I now have a reliable mechanic to take my car to locally.

Honest mechanics are as hard to find as honest lawyers. Can’t help you with the lawyers, but this shop is awesome. We took our car in with some very odd a/​c issues and they took a look and gave us a great report on what they found. They only charged us a minimal fee and fortunately we found out it was still under warranty. I would definitely take my cars here again!

No stars for this place. I took my Audi Quatro Sline in on 4÷18÷14 for an oil change. Two hours of service later to spill a lot of oil on engine, install wrong power steering fluid, damaged hood latch indicator, along with not resetting oil change code. Lesson is you get what you pay for. :-(I definitely would advise all to stay clear of this place!

I luv this place! Had 2 take Weda in & they were so honest and upfront about the repair. They didnt pull any punchese and did what they said they were going to do. Weda is running good now. I really appreciate their honesty. Thor is awesome! This is my new car repair shop when Weda or Barry White are broken down— No more shade tree mechanics! lol Ask for Thor!!!

I took my 2005 Dodge Neon to CT Auto after calling them for an estimate on replacing the heating core in my car. Initially, I decided to go with them simply because they offered the lowest estimate ($ 760 for labor and parts), but by the time I got my car back I was very satisfied, not just with the price, but with the quality of service.
I can’t express how awesome their customer service is. Everyone that I encountered there was very personable, yet professional. I mostly talked with Thor (awesome name, right?) who was very down to earth but who also knew his stuff and was genuinely courteous and polite. He was honest about how long it would take (1 – 2 days) for my car to be done, and he just really helped me to understand what exactly was wrong with my car and why it would take to so long to repair. I’ve taken my car to other places where they claimed it would take a few hours, and I didn’t get my car back for almost a week! It just really helped to know, HONESTLY, how long it would probably take so I could make proper arrangements in regards to transportation.
As promised, my car was ready about 2 days later, and the total came out to be exactly what was estimated. I really appreciated that they didn’t try to stiff me or take advantage of me by attempting to add on additional «necessary» repairs like other repair shops do. They did exactly what I asked them to do, and my car has been running perfectly ever since. I’ve already recommended CT Auto to a friend of mine, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone else who’s looking for a repair shop that offers reasonable prices AND good service.

Needed to find a place to change my oil quickly, and they were very conveniently located. Already up and working when I pulled in the lot at 8:02, and were very quick and helpful getting my car done so I could be on my way as soon as possible. Great repair place, and they didn’t try and sell me on anything I didn’t need. I’d recommend them to friends.

I tell you it feels great to have total confidence in a business… and CT Auto Repair has attained that status. A friend of mine needed to decide whether to «junk» a very used truck. CT Auto Repair did a super evaluation job for a very reasonable fee … decision made to junk… gasket was blown. After CT Auto’s review I felt assured that we had the real «story» on truck’s disrepair. CT offered to pay cash to the tow truck on my behalf and put it on my Master Card… a HUGE convenience factor as tow truck didn’t acccept MC. I feel blessed to have found these folks.

Took my car to Firestone for an oil change and asked them about a sound I was hearing, they told me my transmission fluid was low because of a leak but they couldn’t diagnose it any further. After paying about $ 100 for that diagnosis, I called a bunch of places around town who wanted similar amounts to diagnose before giving me an estimate on repairs. When I called CT Auto the man I spoke with told me they would do the diagnosis for FREE. I was ecstatic. The repair cost ended up being less than any of the other shops’ diagnostic price! It’s been a few months now and the repair has held up great.
I will be taking my car there in the future, as well as recommending the shop to others.

I have been coming to Farley at CT Auto for at least 10 years. As a single female, I have been taken advantage of in the past when looking for auto repairs. Farley has always been upfront and honest. I know that I can trust the diagnosis as well as the repairs that are performed by any of the mechanics at CT Auto. Over the years, all of my friends and family members in the area have begun to go to CT Auto as well. Once they see, hear and feel the quality of the work performed, they become loyal to the business for all of their maintenance and repair needs. I recommend CT Auto to anyone with automotive needs. High quality work, professional, experienced, timely turn around, friendly, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable… What more can I say?

Tried this auto repair place based on the good Unilocal reviews I saw. The owner is professional. He was upfront with the cost and told me he would call if anything came up. When picking up my car, he showed me various concerns he had regarding the car. He let me decide what I wanted to do. Good place for auto repairs.

The worst thing about moving to a new city is having to find trustworthy new service providers (mechanics, dentists, etc.) When I needed a mechanic for my Pontiac five years ago, I was lucky enough to be referred to Farley and CT Auto Repair. From the first encounter, I knew that I found a keeper. His estimates have always been accurate, labor costs fair (if not a «steal»), and work done quickly and right the first time.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an honest, smart, and hard working mechanic.
