I was in the Fresno area (I am from WA state) for work and was having severe tooth pain for 3 weeks ever since I got my crown seated. After a sleepless night, I reluctantly decided to look for a dentist on Unilocal because the pain was gettting intolerable. One can imagine the uneasyness of choosing a dentist while away from home without a good recommendation. I’m glad I found Dr. Danielson. He performed a root canal on me. My visit was very comfortable. He was knowledgeable and made sure I was not in any pain during my root canal. It was actually relaxing being in the chair knowing I was being properly taken care of. I feel immediately better after my visit and my pain is down to a minimum while I am healing. I highly recommend this dentist!

Dr. Danielson (endontist) is WONDERFUL. I’ve had to get work done twice in 5 years and his ability to make a usually painful process not painful and pleasant is a rare gift His staff is equally wonderul! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I was referred to Dr. Danielson after seeing my primary dentist for a severe toothache. I had actually looked him up on Unilocal prior to meeting with him and his staff. There were only four reviews but they were very positive. I went in and had a consultation. It was decided that a root canal would remedy the issue I was having. The procedure was scheduled for the following day. Before leaving the office I was informed that Dr. Danielson was considered out-​of-​network. I was told my insurance would be contacted and I would be told my out of pocked expenses prior to agreeing to continue with the procedure. I called the office before the close of business and was told my out of pocket would be $ 150.00. I wasn’t too crazy about having to pay that amount but decided to agree because I had already met with Dr. Danielson and felt comfortable. I came in the following day about 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. I found it a little strange that no one was there to greet me. I sat down and waited for a really long time. I decided to walk to the back because I wasn’t sure anyone knew I was there. The office manager was on the phone in the back office to the left. She apologized and told me they were very busy but I would be seen shortly. I sat there anxiously waiting for this procedure Ive heard so many horror stories about. After finally getting started it wasn’t too bad. The worst part was a sore jaw and hearing Dr. Danielson’s stomach make scary noises because he hadn’t eaten anything. The next thing I knew he was saying he only needed one more. It was all down hill from there. Once he started working on the last «root» it was EXTREMELY PAINFUL! I felt a shock throughout my body and began sweating. He tried to keep going but my body was not able to sit still. He had his tools on my chest and when I moved some of them obviously fell off. Knees to chest I sat there crying while he completed what he could. He decided to give me two weeks because of the inflammation and aggravation being inflicted. He prescribed me antibiotics to prevent infection because at this point the root canal was not complete. I was given Advil and told my prescription would be called in. I was so shaken and in so much pain I sat in my car for 20 minutes and cried. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain so to be stopped in my tracks like that was surprising. Once I gained my composure I called CVS to make sure my prescription was sent because it was Friday and I wasn’t sure if the office was open on the weekend and Monday was Memorial Day. I knew I jumped the gun calling but I’d rather be safe than sorry. I let another 20 minutes pass and called again and still nothing. I called another time or two then decided I needed to call Dr. Danielson’s office. Well because it was Friday they closed early. I called a few times and got the exchange. I left a message hoping that maybe someone would still be there and hear my message and sure enough when I called CVS within 20 minutes I was told it had just got called in. At this point my face had started to swell so I knew I needed those antibiotics ASAP. Two weeks pass and I return to complete the procedure. Everything was fine again until reaching the same area as before. He decides to take another measurement because I shouldn’t be feeling any pain. He lets me know that the reason I was in so much pain was because his initial measurements were slightly off and he was going too deep. Easy fix for him but that was unnecessary pain that could have been avoided had he properly measured the first time. I know everyone makes mistakes but his mistake was waking me up in the middle of night. Thank God it was finally somewhat complete. I gather my things and go to the front and pay my balance of $ 156.50. A difference of $ 6.50 from what I had been told so I wasn’t worried about it. A few weeks later I receive two statements from Dr. Danielson’s office with an outstanding balance of $ 283.20. I call the next morning to clear up the confusion with the bills being sent to me. I was blown away with the unprofessional manner in which I was now being treated. I was hung up on twice and continued to call the office in need of an answer. I was then transferred to a dental assistant because the office manager had now become busy but since she handles all of the finances at that office I needed to speak to her. She let me know what she gave me was only an estimate after she contacted my insurance. Mind you, I was never told this was only an estimate. Refusing to let this issue go unresolved I contact my insurance only to find out that Dr. Danielson’s office never did. The out of pocket expense was a deliberate misrepresentation because my insurance was never contacted. I feel I was given a «reasonable price» to secure me as a patient then let me deal with the aftermath. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I would have loved to sing their praises but unfortunately I cannot.

Excellent Endodontist, very professional staff. His assistant Jaime was very bright, professional and helpful. Dr. Danielson scheduled me in after his office closed because I needed a root canal right away. He stayed until almost 7 pm and his diagnosis was right on.

As a General Dentist, Dr. Danielson has been seeing my patients for many years. He is an artist with his work, and an honest, professional doctor. Out of hundreds of cases, the patients have only sung his praise– and he continues to work miracles for teeth, both simple and complex. Very highly recommended– I would send my parents to him, and see him myself.

Dr. Danielson and his office were great. I’m originally from Louisiana, so having procedures done by an Endodontist I had no affiliation with, or didn’t know anything about was a bit nerve wrecking at first. I was referred to Dr. Danielson by Affinity Dental. Turns out this guy is one of the best in the area. Ended up having a root canal done. As much as people like to heighten the dramatization about a root canal, these guys really do put you at ease and make you comfortable. Your safety and well being is their priority. They were nice, friendly, and I would definitely recommend them to you. I can be a hard critic when it comes to the medical field, but these guys are definitely the best of the best.

I was referred to Dr. Danielson (by my awesome dentist — Zaruhi Shahbazyan, D.D.S.) for a possible root canal my general dentist thought needed a specialist. Dr. Danielson’s office staff was extremely nice and Dr. Danielson himself is extremely kind and caring. Thankfully, I don’t need a root canal at this time, but I’m grateful to know Dr. Danielson is available should I need one in the future. I highly recommend Dr. Danielson for any endodontic needs.
