Horrible customer service! They told my husband, who is Mexican, that they did not want to be «married to the job» (whatever that means) which was just to fill our AC with freon and that he can go to a Mexican auto repair guy down the street and he will do it for him. Would not go back here again! We went to another guy who did it no problem. Only reason there’s one star is because I had to add at least one! In my book they would be negative 5 stars!

Terrific place! Extremely nice and honest folks. I was stranded in Fresno on my way home to San Diego and Dennis worked extremely hard to fix my car in a timely manner and with a less expensive bill. In looking at ways to fix this unique problem, they came up with a less expensive way of doing it. He was very honest with me during the whole process. Colleen and Dennis were extremely kind while I was there, as my dog and I stayed in the lobby waiting. They made sure we were comfortable. In the end I was able to leave Fresno the same day with the less expensive bill. Thank you Dennis and Colleen. Also, it is the nicest restroom I have ever seen in a repair shop!

Professional company with a friendly staff. I received an email with photos and a detailed inspection report shortly after dropping my car off. When I picked my car up the bill was less than I was quoted, my car had been cleaned and the tires had Armor all on them.

Dennis’ Auto Repair has amazing customer service! We have taken our Lexus and old Tahoe to Dennis’ and each time we have been very pleased. Very knowledgeable, fair, trustworthy and keep you updated on what is going on. We will continue to use Dennis’ for our car problems.

I went to Dennis Auto Repair based on the reviews, and was surprised when the diagnostic for my car was returned. Dennis informed me that it needed a transmission replacement. When I called Nissan, they informed that the service bulletin that was used by the shop was outdated and that there were additional steps in the new service bulletin. I picked up the car, and took it to the dealership. Indeed, the car did not need a transmission replacement. I went back to the shop and Dennis was furious because I came to show him the paperwork and the service bulletin. I got him to refund my money, but I recommend customers to do their research and ensure that your vehicles are properly serviced.

I found them through a coupon offered online. I just went for a smog check (great deal BTW), but on the customer service alone I give them 5 stars. So GENUINELY friendly (not department store trained friendly) and judging by the treatment of the obviously long time customers in the waiting room with me, they have a great personal connection with their customers. Gladly, my truck passed smog, but next time I need repair work, I’m calling Dennis.

Very honest and does not complain about the hard jobs. I was told by other shops to retire my truck over some freeze plugs– & refused to sell me tires however, These guys were wonderful and did the all the work without a tear. I appreciate their direct approach when I ask questions and they update me immediately if something changes.

I had my truck in at Pep Boys 3 times for a grinding notice in the front of the truck. The noise was intermittent so he said to bring it in when I herd the noise. I took my truck to Dennis and after he inspected it he took me into the shop and showed me how loose the bearing was and told me he was concerned that Pep Boys never found such an obvious issue (which I agree). They fixed it and it has been great ever since.
I have been taking all of our vehicles there ever since. He has even printed out diagrams to explain what was wrong. As a female it is extremely hard to find a mechanic that doesn’t treetop me like a dumb ass. I have never felt so respected by a mechanic, even at my fathers shop!

I called them again when my engine blew a head gasket. I was stuck off the 99-​N exit toward Clovis. Just for them to look at it costed over $ 100. I couldn’t afford to have it towed and inspected for over $ 100. They are friendly but extremely overpriced. I take back my previous review. For the amount you end up paying THEY BETTER BE COURTEOUS. lol If you want to save money go somewhere else.

Imagine my dismay after driving three hours from the Bay Area, and my clutch blows its mind in Fresno. IN FRESNO!
With temperatures over 100 in the lovely metropolis, I was NOT a happy camper. I truly thought I had landed in Hell. Luckily, I was here for a birthday party and had a hotel room for two nights.
A friend of a friend recommended Dennis. I thought, «Yeah, right, probably some jive Fresno shyster.» But I was STUCK so I had my car towed to the shop. As we entered the rather rundown neighborhood where Dennis is located, my doubts and suspicions increased.
And THEN– I walked in and met Colleen. First impressions mean a lot and she was friendly, helpful, and very sweet. I then met the man himself, Dennis. He said he would check things out and let me know what the damage would be.
He most gallantly offered me a ride back to my hotel, halfway across town. Wow! We had a very nice chat on the way back – he’s a totally upstanding Fresno citizen. Colleen even asked if I needed help with lodging or meals – she’s a sweet one, that gal.
It turned out that the situation was horribly complicated – parts were needed and much labor would be needed. I had to catch a ride back to the Bay, and took Amtrak back down a few days later.
Dennis met me at the station, gracious as ever.
My 1995 Saturn was good as new and lookin’ a lot better after Dennis and his crew detailed it! My car has huge black bumpers that I had been trying to spruce up for years with little success. They made those babies shine like new!
Now, I won’t lie, my bill was rather gulp worthy. But seeing as how I bought this car new way back when, I figured it was worth the investment. It runs better than it has in some time – and it’s been four months since Dennis and crew laid their healing hands upon my faithful wheels.
[BTW, the friend of a friend is a United Airlines pilot. Dennis pointed out several T-​Birds that the pilot had left for servicing. I figure a UA pilot must know his stuff!]
BOTTOM LINE: If you need top notch, reliable, trustworthy, professional, and super courteous service, Dennis is your man! If I lived in Fresno, he would be my go-​to guy forever.

Over the last 25 or so years, we have taken the 7 different vehicles that our family has owned to Dennis and his staff. We have always received first class service and honesty. Dennis always takes a great time and effort to explain exactly what is wrong with the car and provides any options that might be available. He has consistently completed quality repairs that last! I have recommended Dennis’ to family, friends, and acquaintances for many years with confidence that they will be happy with the service that they receive.

Colleen is the first contact at Dennis Automotive, and she is first rate and knows most by name. The company takes customer service very seriously. Dennis and his mechanics always get the job done at a good price. Quality of work is very apparent.
Bottom Line: I trust this company!
