Fresno Bully Rescue

PitBull Heaven!!!
I live up in Oregon and volunteer three days a week for the Oregon Humane Society! I’ve fallen in love with the breed!
I’ve been following FBR on FB and Instagram for almost a year! They do an amazing job of posting daily information! It keeps me hooked! So, I had to check them out when I was home for a visit.
They do an excellent job of representing a positive image for the bread! These people all have full time jobs and volunteer at FBR!
Bridgett and Tiffany were super accommodating! I had been in contact with them sending emails and FB posts stating I was super excited to check them out!
When I arrived last week they did an impromptu volunteer training for me! So, I can walk pitties whenever I’m in Fresno! It was so nice of them!
They’re located in a great secluded spot near a picturesque almond orchard!
They house about 45 bully breed dogs at a time and adopt out about 10 dogs a month!
These people deserve a lot of credit for all the work they for the breed! Working with limited funds is challenging!
I would spend all my time here if I lived in Fresno!

I love volunteering as a dog walker when I can. I don’t really fit in with the staff here, but I love the dogs. I know it’s selfish of me to say, but it’s been great for my emotional and physical health. Dogs just somehow make everything immediately better, even if it’s just a few hours a week.
I’m not at a place in my life where I can own a dog, so volunteering here is a great alternative for anyone in a similar situation :) I would highly recommend signing up for and attending the volunteer training Saturday, it’s very informative and you can start volunteering right away after attending!

Great no kill shelter! The place is clean and well run. I love going there and walking dogs! Makes me feel good and I am helping out! I ended up adopting an older dog Cosmo from here! I LOVE HIM! Best dog ever! So happy I found this place and I now have the best dog in the world! I will keep going and helping out!
