Lichtenstein Obstetrics & Gynecology

I wanted to give this Obstetrics & Gynecology office a 2.5 instead of a three star but there is no rating system for that.
First off, the good thing about this office is that you don’t have to make an appointment to see the nurse practitioner or doctor and there is someone always available to speak to you. When I walked into the office to do the paperwork, the nurse that was asking all the questions was awesome. The nurse practitioner was also sweet and nice and she gave me much needed information about the development of the baby.
Now the bad part. The office is PACKED. Everybody in Fresno decided to come to this office bringing their herd of children, friends and family members crowding the waiting room area causing me to have a lot of anxiety. They should make a policy where the husband or ONE significant other should be allowed in the office and waiting area so it doesn’t cause much confusion.
Another thing, the scheduling sucked big time. One nurse schedule me on Tuesday where there were another 100 people scheduled on the same day! I went to the hospital before my appointment on a Friday morning for minor bleeding and thank God everything was good but Dr. Lichetenstein didn’t look at my chart thoroughly like I would like him to but he reassured us that everything was ok. I was panicking about the incident on Friday morning but he did an ultrasound to show that my baby was ok and showed us the heartbeat and the stage that it was in. Everything was good.
The medical assistants were ALL OVER THE PLACE. There is no order at this office at all. After Dr. Lichentenstein was done with me, he just left the room with my husband in there all dumbfounded. We just walked out and no medical assistant came to our assistant (how ironic given their job title) and we didn’t know where to make another appointment so we just left.
More professionalism and order is needed at this office and when you’re pregnant for the first time like me, you need all the information that you can about your child. I wish that I had chosen a better OB-​GYN but I really don’t want to search all over Fresno for one at the moment with all the morning sickness that I am experiencing.
