Established in 1989.

PRI was formerly known as The Center for Orthopedic and Spinal Physical Therapy from 1989 – 2011. In 2011, the business name changed from COSPT to Pain Resolution Institute.

Since it’s inception, PRI has been on the cutting edge of developing the most advanced and effective techniques to address the cause of pain, improve function and restore order on the deepest level. Pain Resolution Institute, located in Fresno, California is currently the only provider of Function Restoration in the world.

PRI serve’s patients from Fresno and many other parts of the country as well as many patients that travel a long distance to receive unique treatment from our Function Restoration Specialists.

Meet the Business Owner

Michael E.

Business Owner

Michael Evangelho is the founder of Pain Resolution Institute and developer of the Function Restoration approach. He received his Physical Therapy training at the University of California, San Francisco and began practicing in 1982. PRI is a result of abundant study and experience over the past 30 years of practice as a Physical Therapist (for educational background and experience, please visit History of PRI). Although Michael’s work is very important to him, his family has always been his greatest blessing. He and his wife Vicki have raised five children. In recent years, their family has expanded to include two daughters-​in-​law, one son-​in-​law and five grandchildren. As demonstrated in his FR approach, he has come to realize the importance of order for anything to function as it should. Perhaps he learned the importance of continually «restoring order» most evidently though his experiences, challenges and rewards of family life.

He and his wife Vicki live in Fresno, California.
