Ramos Furniture

The «leather» has already bubbled and is coming apart. Quality sucks big time. Don’t buy here. Save up and buy the real stuff at a higher end store. It’s worth it in the long run.

Went in to look at bedroom sets. We ended up purchasing one we liked online with the help of the salesperson, Dan. He assured us they had the size bed we wanted and we paid for it then and there. A few weeks later when they made the delivery, we were surprised at the poor quality of the furniture and it was also assembled poorly. We figured we didn’t have many options since they charge a 25% restocking fee for any returned items. As long as it would hold our mattress, we figured we’d go with it. We then went to order our mattress from another store. When the mattress was delivered, it did not fit the bed we bought. We called Ramos and were led to believe it was an honest mistake by the salesman. Sure enough, the bed did not come in the size we inquired about. I’m not sure why a salesman who has every color, option, and dimension of every piece of furniture in the store memorized could not remember which size we paid for when he placed the order minutes later. He should have been honest with us up front. Instead, they now had our money and offered to let us choose another set from their inventory (none of which we liked in the first place, which is why we chose one from their site online). We drove back across town and sat there for a while looking at about 4 or 5 options supposedly in the same price range as the set we purchased. We didn’t love any of them but were led to believe we had to exchange rather than receive a refund. We chose a lesser of the evils and were told it was actually a better set than we already had.
The following day in the mail we received an advertisement from another company with the same exact set we just ordered, for $ 300 less! It was also listed on their own website for $ 100 cheaper than what we paid. We were very confused and felt like we had just been scammed again! After multiple trips back to the store to speak with a manager on giving us a fair price (ie a partial refund) for the set, we could never find the manager there. He was conveniently on vacation, or went home early. We even called in ahead of time and were told he was there and would be there until closing, only to show up an hour later to be told he was gone already. After weeks of sleeping on the floor due to a bed that didn’t fit our mattress (and having the parts of the smaller bed all over our room), we finally received a call from the manager. Our options were pay a 25% restocking fee and get a refund, keep the smaller bed, or he would ‘see what he could do’ and call me back a few days later. When I received the phone call, I was offered $ 100 back which would apparently cut into their cost, but they were willing to make the sacrifice. We wanted to be done with these people, so we took the tiny percentage refund and finally got the right size bed a couple weeks later.
The bedroom set does the job, but is not anything to brag about. The company will do anything they can to steal your money and then beat around the bush when you confront them about it. I absolutely can not recommend this company to anyone.

They didn’t have what we were looking for here. But the gentleman at the door, manager or owner I assume, was very pleasant and helpful. He understood our needs and knew that he couldn’t meet them today. He offered some advice that did work out for us today. Very nice staff, thank you!

All I can really emphasize is don’t waste your time going here. The furniture is really subpar quality and will wear out with normal use within a few months and then you’ll get a run around when you try to use the warranty which is through Guardsman (another garbage company).

I wish I would have read these reviews before I purchased my sofa and chaise from here… It’s been almost a MONTH since we paid in full and ordered our furniture from Ramos Furniture and we STILL don’t have it ! I have called them twice now to find out what’s going on and they just keep pushing back the delivery date. I understand somethings take time to be shipped, but here we are almost a full month later and I still don’t have my furniture that I paid cash for. It is very frustrating. I will NOT be purchasing anything ever again from Ramos Furniture. I said from the start we should have gone to Crazy Bernie and I wish I would have gone with my instincts. Also, the employees are like hawks. I felt like I was at a car lot where they attack you at the door and follow you around. I couldn’t browse in peace. Geeze.

I purchased some tables from them and this place is awful at their customer service. But what is worst is their delivery. The stuff I purchased sat in their warehouse for a whole week and then was called that it would be delivered at the end of the week. At time of deliver, they were 2 hours late and when I called asking where are these delivery people. They had no clue if my stuff was being delivered or not. Worse place to buy stuff at. I will not purchase or recommend this place to anyone.

we bought a whole bunch of furniture and paid most of it in cash. when our stuff was being delivered there was a whole dinning room set missing when we asked what happened we were told we never did pay for it. Luckily for us we had taken a picture of the invoice they were working on while we were making the payment. we took the picture on our phone to the store manager and it was a total emmberesment for the whole team. just be careful when you purchase from this store they would charge you twice if they get a chance too. I’ll never go to this store nor would I recommend it to anyone else. don’t even get me started about their delivery. It’s shame store like this exist in America; (

Very bad experience. We didn’t get what we order so we refused to take the items. They told us there would be a restocking fee of 25% which we thought was not fair since it was their mistake. No refund either for the protection plan. never buying at this store again in my life!!!

I Purchased a bedroom set and 4 kitchen chairs for 2300. The bed sqeaked and rocked from the day I got it. Also one of the chairs is defected. Its been almost a month and a half and I still havent got this sorted out. This place has Nice looking furniture but poor quality. Beware if your looking here

My visit here was pleasant, until a month later I walked out upset in tears. I picked out a bed set and a sofa/​love seat set. Our sales person Jordan R. helped us with finding our furniture. We purchased a bed set and sofa set. Our sofa set was really nice, he lowered it to $ 900. wow! We paid cash $ 1,500 he said money talks we should get our purchase furniture in a few days. My husband and I walked out happy. 1 week went by and still no phone calls or delivered furniture. I called and was told our love seat was not in stock, I would have to wait another week. I said ok. A month went by, I called again was told this time my night stand was not in stock. That the couches would be here any day now, but the bed set will take another MONTH! Really? WOW! EXCUSES, EXCUSES! Ramos furniture did not call to inform me about any of these so called out of stock items. I purchase these items at the beginning of September. October 2 they finally deliver my couches, but to my surprise my entire bed set came in too. Which Jordan informed me it would take another month. As you can see, I am stressed and running around because this furniture store can t seem to coordinate their time and their staff. They deliver my couches, I thought these couches do not look like the ones I picked out. Thought I was going crazy for a moment. When my husband came home, first thing he said was these couches look different from the ones we pick out. Sure enough we figured these do not look and feel as nice as the ones we wanted.
Before I walked back into Ramos Furniture on Shaw/​Blackstone to tell them about their error. I did a little research. I went to the other Ramos furniture on Gettysburg/​Peach found the exact same set they delivered, asked the sales manager the price. He said $ 800. From there I drove back to the Ramous Furniture on Shaw/​Blackstone. Right when I walked in pass the first sales person I saw our sales person Jordan that helped us with our purchase, instantly his ears turned red. He walked away helping another customer. That was when I knew he messed up our order!!! He knows it too, that s why he blushed when he saw me walked in. I tried to explain to the so called manager who seemed like he didn t care. All they did was explain to me I signed the paper stating those are the couches I ordered. Since I had no proof, I could not do anything about it. My theory is our sales person either sold us a nice piece for too cheap and gave us one that looked similar in color to try to weigh out his mistake. Or he sold us a piece that was discontinued and since he was living off that commission, he didn t tell us and on the receipt wrote out a different couch set. I was so upset I walked out in tears. I paid $ 1500 in cash for furniture, In return they missed up my order and treated me like trash. THEY ARE NOT LOYAL TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. Shady people because they are money hungry. Because after you give them your money, if there is any problems with your order they don t make an effort to inform you. They will cover it up and ignore you. I am a victim of Ramos Furniture Scandal! If you are going to purchase furniture here because it s cheap. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A PICTURE OF THE PURCHASED FURNITURE AT THE SHOWROOM! THEY ARE NOT/​REFUSE TO BE A PART OF BBB!

Beware of false promises from Ramos Furniture. I called to inquire about furniture that I found on their website. I spoke with Tony and let him know I was interested in purchasing the items and asked what the price was with delivery and tax. He gave me the price that they had advertised on-​line (not mentioning it was at a discount or sale). He Let me know that if I purchased this furniture that I would receive a free flat screen TV with my purchase. I hadn’t even realized that they had this promotion going on. So I made the purchase and confirmed with my payment in full that I would receive the TV at the same time I received my furniture. He confirmed it over the phone. Well when the furniture came the TV did not. I called and asked when the TV would be delivered and Tony let me know that I did not qualify for the TV since he gave me a «discount». This was the first I had heard about receiving a discounted price. He said that he never offered me a TV over the phone. I emailed a manager about this issue and never got a response back. After 5 days I called in and spoke with the manager who said since it was not on my invoice then I would not be receiving the TV and said that Tony would never have offered me that promotion. Basically that I was lying and his salesman was not. What ever happened to the customer always being right? I asked if we would be receiving the Free X Box that they had on-​line for any sale over $ 799, he said no because we already received a discount. There was not one note of a discount written on my invoice. I did not realize that a free promotion needed to be written up on a sales invoice. Lesson learned to get everything in writing and to never shop at Ramos Furniture again. So if you do decide to shop at this furniture store make sure you get a VERY detailed invoice!
