Wow! I’ve been skeptical about the chiropractic arts. However, after years of pain which I attributed to aging(I am only 52), I am virtually pain free after my very first visit. I woke this morning feeling better than I have in YEARS! I normally wake up with my back killing me. But this morning, it just hurts a very little bit. I was able to start moving first thing without taking anything for pain. A bit of history… I’ve been having back, rib and hip pain. I’ve had three hip replacements in the last 16 years. Those hip replacements have left me with one leg about two inches longer than the other. While I’ve been aware of that, I really hadn’t given it much thought. As time has gone on, I’ve been having more on more problems with pain. To the point where I had to take medication in the morning just to get moving. Realizing that I couldn’t keep taking more and more medicine, I decided to try chiropractic. Fast forward to yesterday… I arrived for my first appointment, after making an appointment the previous day. The office was clean. A little out of date, but clean and well appointed. I suppose you could say that the office is retro-chic! :) The wonderful office staff worked with my health insurance company which, as it turns out, covers chiropractic. I filled out the obligatory health screening forms and waited a short time for Dr. Madeline to call me back. Dr. Madeline did a thorough examination, which included general health questions, range of motion measurements and spinal x-rays. We reviewed my x-rays and my spine was TOTALLY out of whack and my pelvis was very lopsided. It was due to my one leg being longer than the other, as it turns out. No wonder I was hurting! We then moved to the treatment room. I’ll be honest, the adjustments did hurt a bit and I began to wonder if I had made a mistake. But I went with it. After adjusting me(is that the right way to put it?) for about a half an hour, and providing me with a heel lift for my shorter leg, I stood up and immediately felt lighter and felt looser. Woo-hoo! My back wasn’t hurting nearly as badly. I noticed driving home that my neck had much more range of motion than it did previously. I work the swing shift as an x-ray tech and am working on my feet for a majority of my shift. Last night I noticed that I had NO pain during my shift. I went home, fell alseep quickly and slept well. I woke this morning,(at the risk of sounding like a broken record) with very little pain and feeling very well rested. So, as a long time skeptic, I am now cheerleader for chiropractic, The office people with whom I interacted were professional and friendly. Dr. Madeline does a very good job with listening intently to what hurts, doing a thorough exam, x-rays and adjustment. I almost feel like a new person! I highly recommend Schroeder Family Chiropractic.

Rebecca Schroeder is Fabulous! Anytime I come in with a pain she actively listens to my problem. She does muscle work to help relieve tension, gives me exercises to work on to help prevent further injuries and adjusts me with a firm, but gentle touch!
