Daisy is awesome!!! She totally fixed my hair after another salon didn’t ombré it correctly. I could have gone back to the other salon and had it fixed for free but I didn’t trust that they could make it look better. Daisy was very professional and super quick! She matched my natural hair pretty well and blended in all of the patchy parts so well you can hardly tell they were patchy in the first place. She also gave the best scalp massage I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. I’ve also had my eyebrows done here before and loved my expeirence. 4 stars instead of 5 only because in general I think the salon is a little pricey, yet it’d be hard to find another salon that is as reliable, clean, and efficient for a lower price, so it’s worth it.
Overall super pleased, and I can put my hair in a ponytail without worrying about nasty streaks of bleach now!

This was my first time coming to the Spectrum and all I can say is, Beautiful!!! as soon as you walk in you are greeted by the sweetest people. the atmosphere is like a fantasy and my hair dresser made me feel so comfortable! All in all great experience and can’t wait to go back.

I went in for a consultation and brought a picture of the color I wanted, caramel with 4 blonde panels. The stylist started with blonde panels, and left those in while coloring the rest of my hair. I let her know that my hair processes quickly so she wouldn’t over process the blonde… she pretty much ignored me and kept making calls on her cell phone. The blonde wasn’t washed out for almost 45 mins and, in the end, I left looking like Cruella Deville. The blonde was almost white, and what was supposed to be caramel was black, and my hair was severely damaged. According to the stylist, that was the color I had asked for. I went back the next day to talk to management and was told there was nothing wrong with my hair! I wouldn’t recommend this salon.

Very overpriced. I was not satisfied with my highlights. I called and the manager said to come back the next day and they would correct the issue. When I went back the next day the stylist said it would be an addition $ 55.00 when I had already paid $ 210.00. The stylist said I had asked for it lighter around my face so this is why I would have to pay extra but it was an ash color. What happened to customer service?

I had to jump on computer and write this right when I got home. Ricky colored, cut and styled my hair today. I came in with a grown out brassy ombré and my natural dark auburn hair color as the base. He transformed me into a beige-​blonde with platinum highlights, which is exactly what I asked for. I am very picky as I have my cosmetology license and can sometimes over-​analyze a stylist. AndI get nervous to get my hair colored in general. Ricky chose the perfect formulas to use on my hair to cancel out the warmth that no one else can seem to help me with. I could not recommend Ricky more. He gave a great shampoo and he gives the best blowout in Fresno in my opinion and he does not rush with the styling portion.
Side note: Ricky trimmed and styled my mom’s hair for my wedding day and I still tear up when I see the photos, she looked modern and sophisticated and I am so thankful to Ricky for making my mom feel beautiful on that special day.
Thank you Ricky for taking away my anxiety and leaving me with a fresh spring color! If you are nervous about color trust Ricky, he is an amazing colorist!

I’ve been coming to Sydny for the past two years. She never disappointments me with what I want done to my hair. She also educates me in products and my hair.
The staff is friendly and this place is always clean!

Horrible customer service. I’ve been to Spectrum several times in the past and had a wonderful experience but today was horrible. I booked their «Valentines Massage and Facial Special» for $ 120. Great deal right??? Lacy the front desk person who didn’t seem too thrilled to take me back to the spa area gave me two different size cheap flip flops, their wet sauna was not turned on, their robes are in the hallway. Ok things happen no big deal. The massage was great and made up for the beginning mishaps. At the end I go to pay my bill the front desk person who was very short and rude AGAIN processed my end payment. The bill came out 262.00? I went in for a 120.00 massage and purchased 81.00 in merchandise. Even with the 20.00 tip the total bill wasn’t adding up. I was not given a detailed list of what I was charged for so I went back into the Spa and approached the front desk person Lacy. I said I think you may have overcharged me. I purchased the Valentine’s Special which is 120.00. Mind you Spectrum has this Special advertised all over their salon/​website, someone handling the front desk should be aware of what the salon specials are. Her reply «its your responsibility to let her know I purchased that package»… Well, I did that when I made my reservation. Don’t they make notations for their customers on what they request while making the reservations? Or Lacy could have simply confirmed my purchase or even yet simply said oh I’m sorry let me fix that for you. So, I asked for a refund for the 35.00 difference which she replied she had to look up my reservation in the computer? Why? Did she think I was lying. The entire time from the moment I walked into this salon Lacy made me feel as if I was some second class citizen and was not good enough to have services done there. I could have went to any Day Spa in Fresno, which by the way I should have and will do from now on. Spectrum used to be such a classy place. You don’t treat customers like that if you want repeat business and references. Lacy ruined what was supposed to be a nice relaxing day. Sad because the lady who gave me the massage and facial was phenomenal and because of Lacy she will not be getting a repeat customer unless she moves salons. My advice steer clear of Spectrum until they can hire customer friendly front staff.

A nice salon, very classy. Good service. I really enjoy the complimentary drinks, it’s really quite refreshing.
I’ve experienced some long waits but that’s the usual for popular salons. Don’t come expecting a cheap price, be ready for something over 40 dollars.

Front desk staff and manager are extremely unprofessional and rude. There are SO many great hair stylists there it is a shame that the front of the house ruins it for them.

I finally found my hairstylist in Fresno after searching for so long. She did it all, from coloring to trimming and styling. She was an amazing artist.
But the negative result was… After my first shampoo, my hair looked like a disaster. I am not sure what products she used, but my hair was burned. No matter how many deep conditioning I tried, I could not restore it. It was too pricy to get such a result. I am living a nightmare until I go for another short haircut to get rid of the damaged hair, but not at the same place anymore.

I’ll give this place a star because my mom did love the lady that did her manicure, Tamara. And you have to to post a review.
The bad review is for the staff/​management. I live out of state and this past Mother’s Day was the first time I was not going to be spending it with my mom, but I was seeing her the next wknd for a family wedding.
I knew my mom had an appointment for a mani the day before the wedding (Thursday), so the Sunday before her appointment I called the salon and told them I wanted to surprise my mom for Mother’s Day by paying for a spa mani/​pedi. I asked if they could change her from the regular mani she was scheduled for to the spa mani/​pedi and if they could hold my cc on file to pay for the services. They said that would be no problem and that they couldn’t hold my cc on file but I could purchase a gift card online and they would hold it for her appointment. I called the day before the appointment to make sure they had the gift card at the salon for her appointment, they ensured me they did.
I got a call from my dad about 45 mins after her appointment saying she was already home and that she paid for her appointment herself. My dad told my mom that I already prepaid and she was supposed to receive a spa mani/​pedi. My mom called the salon to ask if they had a gift card on file for her, they told her yes, but that it wasn’t their fault they didn’t use it because the front desk just schedules appointments– with quite the attitude. No apology, nothing.
I called the salon for a refund, they said that the manager is the only one that can approve it but he wasn’t there. Got a call the next day (Saturday) at 7:30 am. What management is this calling someone that early on a Saturday morning?!? RUDE. With a message that said «I got a message you want a refund but I don’t know why so you can call me back» Umm I told your front desk EXACTLY why I wanted a refund, are they that incompetent that they are unable to relay a simple message? Obviously. Called him back, wasn’t there again. Called back during the time frame they said he would be in and they said he was unavailable. Then the front desk called back and asked for my cc info, manager never got on the phone, not one person apologized.
Classy place.

Wonderful experience Robert was great in squeezing me in for a blow-​dry and style. He fit me in with Pete Navarro who did an amazing style exactly what I was looking for. Would definitely recommend his services he is very experienced and talented. I travel a lot and go to many high end salons, I have to say this was a great experience both with service and professionalism.

Came here after a suggestion of a friend and a very affordable groupon. The outside of the building is deceiving, the inside is very nice. The atmosphere is like some exclusive spa place but they’re just trying too hard.
Hair cut was not what I wanted. I asked to keep my layers long and cut in a way it still had volume. I basically ended up with a trim. She also had me STAND up so she can make sure my hair was even. When long, layered hair is cut evenly straight across it never looks good! No shaping whatsoever. I guess she was new so it can’t be helped. But I was 8 months pregnant at the time and I was looking forward to just relaxing in my chair.
Maybe she is better with short hair cuts and styling because my bridesmaids had their hair done by her last year and it looked amazing!

Expensive and didn’t get what I asked for. Ombré came out really brassy:(

I’ve gone to a lot of salons and they never dye my hair the color I want but she did an amazing job way better than what I had in mind. She also trimmed my hair so it will be healthier and I was overly ecstatic about it since other salons assume that by a trim off the ends means let’s hack off inches of hair. She’s super professional and super sweet I highly recommend her if you’re looking for a hair cut or hair dye or both!
The only reason I didn’t give a full 5 stars was everyone was amazing except for this short young blonde girl at the front desk. She was working 2÷10÷15 at 350pm when I was done and paying
She was very nice to her staff members (which is nice to see) but she was very snotty towards me which I felt upset by since I was very happy and plus I was spending a lot of money. She swiped my card then placed it down on the desk even though my hand was out for her to hand it to me. I have no idea why she couldn’t hand me my card in my hand.

Liars, AND unprofessionals… HEY MR. Manger your staff is RUDE. Remember the CUSTOMER comes first! Upset I even have to give a star. Just a terrible experience all around. AND I never even had the chance to get my hair done. The stylist did not listen to what my needs were. When I made an appointment to have my Hairdreams extensions re tapped I was assured the stylist was certified to do so. I ended up having to reschedule for another stylist and I was again assured he was too certified and will be prepared. When I received a phone call saying he wasn’t prepared and didn’t know what type of extensions I had WHEN I must have told 3 people and even had a stylist look at them. I immediately cancelled my appointment I was told a manger would not be able to help and I was hung up on. I’m just happy my money wasn’t wasted on a unprofessional stylist! I think it’s hilarious that the manager went to his employee first when clearly the TRUTH about MY experience was not communicated. Surprise there!

I’d have to say the best place to get your Modern/​Classic haircut/​style. You definitely get your money’s worth. I’ve been coming here for about 1 year. But I’ve had the same barber for about 8 Years. I’D HAVE TO SAY THE BEST STYLIST AND BARBER AROUND. !!! Donato Lopez

Cassandra does an amazing wax job she is friendly kind and provides a quick painless service. Will definitely return.

Ricky is my stylist and I’ve been seeing him going on an year now. I loved my first cut & style and I have loved each additional since the first. However, it’s never boring nor is the cut always the same. He seems to pick up on my mood and knows when to make it sassy, sleek, demure, or pizzazzy. The only down side of having such a great stylist is that I can’t quite do what he does but something I can easily manage. I always walk away feeling great, better than before, and simply put… feeling pretty.

I love PETE NAVARO. He is the Best hair stylist around. I have been going to him for many years. I haven’t ever had a bad cut or style from him. I would recommend him to anyone and I do. It usually takes 2 weeks to get into see him. He is always nice and super friendly. I let him cut it the way he wants I have that much faith in him.
The Spectrum is a clean and nice upscale salon. I have had waxing done and massages both excellent. I would recommend this spa to anyone.
