D+A Studio specializes in Design-​Build Services including complete design packages, construction management and general contracting. The firm offers a variety of services, from small-​scale renovations to large-​scale master planning. We also offer design counseling services, to assist you in many situations such as sustainable design, Built Green or LEED certification, urban design and construction administration. D+A studio offers a convenient island location with local expertise and sensitivity while also providing direct access to the resources of the mainland. We work closely with our clients to develop creative and effective design solutions.

History

Established in 2005.

D+A studio established roots in Friday Harbor, Washington opening its main office in May 2005 and expanding to Seattle later that year.

Owner of both D+A Studio and Studio How General Contracting. D+A Studio is a Residential, Commercial and Urban Design Firm. The firm serves a wide range of needs from small-​scale renovations to large-​scale master planning. I treat every project, no matter what the size as a sociological experiment. Each project, from a custom residence, commercial building or an urban infill site, is a living organism where people interact and subconsciously create their surroundings. By working directly with my clients, we merge their current lifestyle, the life they dream of and my design intent with the site characteristics to create a healthy living environment.
