AAA Appliance Service

After trying to use someone in the city I live in and them not calling me back, I looked on Unilocal for a referral. Called AAA at 10 in the morning and by 2:30 that same day my dryer was working again. Thanks for the great follow thru! We will use you again for appliance repairs.

I used the strong recommendations of the other two reviews and contacted AAA Appliance when my dishwasher busted. A technician (Dave) came out at the agreed upon time (calling when he was on his way) and quickly diagnosed it as a failed motor. I actually sought a second opinion since that would be costly, but it turned out that many appliance repair places don’t service Bosch since it is a foreign model.
I went ahead and went with AAA and Dave ordered the part, then once it arrived, he returned and replaced the motor within an hour. Dishwasher is working like new. Very professional service, shows up on time, knows the issue, works efficiently, gets the job done. The original service call price was credited against my final bill.
I will start with AAA for any future appliance repair.

Yesterday afternoon I opened the refrigerator door and thought «great the lights burnt out» then realized it was the appliance that was out!
I checked the breakers but of course it could not be that simple.
I have never had any luck finding honest repair services and resorted to just replacing whatever broke down and getting the insurance.
This time we were not in a position to do that.
My 1^st thought was Unilocal and found a good review for this company by Christine K.
I called them and just as she stated the receptionist was very friendly, called the tech while I was on the phone told me he was on his way to another call and could most likely be on his way in 2 hours.
He was here sooner then that, he was very friendly.
He replaced a fuse (the cheapest route) and told me that if it ran a full cycle and cooled that would be it, if not he’d come back today and we’d go from there.
It could have been the circuit board, he could have just as easily told me that was the problem and charged me for that and the fuse but he was honest!
Thank God there are still company’s out there like this one.
I will defiantly call them the next time I have an appliance issue.

As a single girl who loves eating out and hates cooking, my dishwasher is rarely in business. Once a week, I ran a load to clean up silverware and glasses and the occasional plate. So when my dishwasher stopped shooting water, I shrugged and thought that it would be easier to hand wash the dishes than take a day off to get it repaired. My method worked well for about a month, then a busy schedule meant that suddenly I was facing a mound of dishes without the necessary energy to even squirt the soap.
I called my company’s concierge service (that’s cool, huh?) who did some initial legwork and provided me with the names of three companies. I settled on AAA Appliance, who has been in business for 20+ years and then waited with trepidation as all my friends scared me with stories of being taken advantage of by unscrupulous repairmen. I needn’t have worried. The friendly receptionist gave me a two hour window and explained that the repairman would call before he arrived. He called and arrived promptly, checked my dishwasher and found it to be working! He explained that inexpensive dishwashers like mine (read: cheap) need to be run at least 5 minutes a day to keep the engine oiled and somehow a stuck part had gotten unstuck! He could have «fixed» a part and increased the cost, but all I paid was the very reasonable service call. He also explained that if the dishwasher stopped working in the next month, the next service call would be free.
