Avant-​Garde Optometry was inspired by optometrist in Europe and has a heavy fashion influence. Our business offers several different luxury brands, along with affordable but trendy lines.

For adults we have Chloe, Versace, Gucci, Miu Miu, Dolce and Gabbana, Etnia Barcelona, Tom Ford, Persol, Fendi, Prada, Burberry, Bvlgari, Tiffany’s Valentino, Michael Kors, Modo, Eco, Polo, Ray Ban, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, and Diane Von Furstenburg.

For the younger crowd we offer Juicy, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Coach, Lacoste, Nike and Disney. At Avant-​Garde Optometry, we believe in finding a style and look for everyone. We pride ourselves in bringing out a person’s best facial features. This practice is also not afraid of color or bold designs. We always encourage our patients to try glasses in unique colors and styles.

We also offer a wide variety of Optometry services. We perform glasses examinations, contact lens examinations, dry eye evaluations, glaucoma assessment, macular degeneration assessment, diabetic retinopathy evaluation, cataract evaluation, Pre/​Post Operation Cataract surgery evaluation, Pre-​LASIK assessment, Corneal topography assessment, Optomap retinal photos and assessment.

We mostly service Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Little Elm, and Savannah Texas.

History

Established in 2014.

Avant-​Garde Optometry opened it’s doors December 2014. Before this business was established Dr. Yee worked in various Optometry practices. When she first graduated in 2011, she worked at Walmart Bedford for a year. She then worked full time at Walmart Arlington and then moved to the Lenscrafters in Northpark mall. Dr. Yee has a passion for family eye care and wanted to make this her main focus. She is always striving for better patient understanding of their eyes and their eyewear. Dr. Yee bought most of her equipment teach patients about their ocular health. The practice has a Kr1W autorefractor to teach patients about their corneal shape and explains how this relates to their prescription. They also have a slit lamp camera and retinal camera to teach patients about the external and internal health of patients eyes. In the optical, opticians will thoroughly explain different lens options and will explain how they will help or hinder a person’s vision.

Dr. Yee graduated college at the University of Texas Austin in 2006. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated in 2011. She decided to move to Dallas after graduation and started working for Dr. Sue Feather in Bedford. Before Dr. Yee established Avant-​Garde Optometry, she became inspired by her travels in Europe. She loved how much Europeans respected beauty and liked how much thought was put into their businesses. Dr. Yee has always been an avid fan of the fashion industry and decided the establish a practice around this concept. She wants patients to feel good about their eyewear and have fun with fashion accessories. She is an intelligent and well-​rounded doctor, who ensures patient satisfaction. She built a trendy practice with her unique fashion sense and personally handpicked frames for her patients. Knowledgeable and trustworthy, anyone could instill their trust in Dr. Yee to make sure they get the care they need!
