I HATE writing negative reviews, but I’ve been vegetarian for almost 6 years now and when someone gives me a difficult time if I ask if there is meat in my food I have an tough time respecting their customer service. I am a server currently and understand when things happen with customers, but from the start I’m not sure what our table did, but the entire meal was uncomfortable-chips to paying our bill entirely. I started by asking if there was lard in the beans, then if there was meat in the sauce-both times was ignored and given the death glare. The kicker was when one of our members ordered a new menu item, the Mahi tacos, and ended up with the Mahi plate and then the waitress had to bring a menu over and informed us(extremely rudely) there was not such an item on the menu, when clearly it stated at the top of the taco section-Mahi taco. She didn’t offer to fix it immediately, but rather just walked away. Unfortunately, I’ve heard only good things about this restaurant but I will NOT go back. Management did handle the mis-ordered meal but overall, I left with a bad taste in my mouth.

Food was blah. If you are not familiar with or used to eating back Mexican(a.k.a. Tex-Mex) I can understand how this place would get a decent rating. This place is really unimpressive; the meat is not your true fajita meat(beef skirt) and is dry and tough. Beans taste like they came out of a can. Chips and salsa were ok, but nothing that we ordered was worth eating again and nothing on the menu is true Mexican just sloppy tex-mex. Save yourself the time, money and grief and find somewhere else to eat.

Too much ice in pitcher of margaritas and not enough salt on rim was consensus But I still enjoyed them Salsa and chips knock out; hot Bean dip excellent Kept refilling chips so awesome service Food was really good had the Sonora enchiladas sampler(everyone in group x4) This is a solid choice if searching for mexican in frisco would definitely be back

Ups and downs. Hubby had Pollo Boracho and he loved it. I had shrimp and steak fajitas. This is where I knock off the stars. The shrimp was nice, but I didn’t really want to pull off tails to make the wraps. The steak fajita was where it went all wrong. This should be a no-brainer for any state side Mexican restaurant. It was tough and not enough flavor. The steak needs to be marinated way longer, and if you ask me, add some lime to the marinade to tenderize the meat. Also slicing flank steak before you cook is just all kinds of wrong. Grill it, let it rest for 4 to 5 minutes, then slice. Service was outstanding. No complaints there at all

What a delightful establishment! :) I had heard this place was good so my bf and I stopped by today. 4.99 happy hour margaritas, delicious food, AMAZINGSERVICE, great atmosphere, I’ll def be back. We split a carne asada burrito and it was tastyyyy and huge. The people that work there were super prompt and friendly, I love it! The margs did seem like they are a little light on the tequila so I put an extra shot in mine but I always do that anyway ;)

Excellent food, excellent service. Amazing chips and salsa. I didn’t want to go to a «chain,» but we went here after the other restaurant we were looking for was being renovated. So glad we did! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The restaurant is quite attractive, both inside and out, We had lunch there last week. Unfortunately, the food was just ok. I ordered a Pork Burrito, which was actually pretty tasty. It was suppose to come with Ranchero Sauce, but the waiter and I must have gotten confused. It came with no sauce, but the pork/sauce was in a separate small bowl. I guess he thought that I didn’t want the Ranchero sauce. He charged an extra $ 1.50 for the sauce. My husband had the lunch special, a shredded beef enchilada. The beef was dry and there was very little sauce. We are from California where we have abslutly wonderful Mexican REstaurnts-real ones with recipes from Mexico. Maybe we are spoiled, but this wan’t up to our standards.

Great long Happy Hour: 3:30 — 6:30pm daily with Half-Priced Apps and House Margs. I went for Happy Hour in the bar. Free hot bean dip and salsa with warm chips, all excellent, if the salsa was a bit watery. The Shrimp Ceviche was quite good, although slim on the shrimp. The Tacos de Papa was a disappointment. Several Tacos with potatoes and onions, deep fried and quite greasy. Probably the oil wasn’t hot enough. Lots of lettuce, some tomato & cheese on top, with two good dips. A new App, so they are trying, but this serving just didn’t make it. House Margarita seemed a bit«off» to me, but the bartender tried it and said it was ok. Maybe just me.

Descent food but the service was so bad that I can’t remember. We were trying to leave for a half hour and our waitress was seating people instead of expediting us out the door. The wait staff wasn’t trained well and the manager was filling the candy bowl at the door instead of trying to help get everyone out. Disappointing.

A few vegetarian options, but not a crazy amount. Lots of gluten free options for those who need it.

This place is a favorite of our coworker’s. After our experience today, I’m not too sure even she will be going back. There were 10 of us from the office that met up for lunch today(Monday, mud season, 11:45pm). We called ahead to let them know we were coming. The restaurant was nearly empty. We were greeted about 10 minutes after sitting down. By that time we had made up our minds about what to order for lunch, so we placed our food and drink orders at the same time. After 15 minutes of waiting for drinks, we had to pull a server aside and ask if we could get them. They arrived about 10 minutes later(most of us asked for water, a few of us asked for a soft drink). By 12:45, a coworker had to ask for her order to go. We were all trying to leave before 1 to get back to work. When the manager arrived at the table to ask how everything is going. I don’t think any of us said a word or even smiled, but he smiled and nodded and said, «Great! Food will be out soon guys!» Was he even paying attention? We asked him to please bring our checks, as we were in a hurry. Shortly after that everyone’s food had arrived. Almost everyone’s. One order was brought out wrong, and took extra time to be resolved. The food was not close to memorable for how expensive it was. $ 14 for tacos with rice and beans? When we were done, our server came out and asked if we were ready for our checks. Yes. Yes we had to leave 15 minutes ago. If you haven’t gathered, we won’t be going back here. There is definitely better Mexican in Summit County.

Salads, fajitas, nachos … All amazing. Plus the service is on point, ask to be seated in Judy’s section. Good work! Beats The Rio for certain.

Eaten here many times before without a problem but tonight they got both our orders wrong and then the waitress argues with us about what we ordered. Spoke to the manager about our food and service and he was like, whatever! Wouldn’t fix the problem and and charged us for both messed up dinners. Probably won’t be back because that is no way to run a business!

Ended up with a flat tire so I took the recommendation of the big o tire guys across the street and came in for lunch. The food was good truly probably above average for Mexican restaurants but the service was outstanding and I really found the environment to be great. All I truly wanted to do was sit in front of the fire and sample their margaritas but sadly my tire was quickly patched and I had to get back on the road. The next time I find myself in Frisco I’ll be in to get that margarita.

Must trys: Tableside Chopped Salad This is a GREAT place to go after a day of snowboarding. The restaurant is pretty sizable, so you likely won’t have to wait long, if at all. You see a good mix of locals and out of towners here, and for good reason. Their food is yum! This is going to be more tex-mex rather than authentic Mexican food. But if you love tex-mex, this place is a great find. The margarita we got was overpriced and didn’t have much tequila in it, which also made it taste pretty good. You’re first served chips with complimentary salsa and bean dip. The bean dip was delicious and it was great to have a hot item to dip chips in along with the cold salsa. This is pretty unique, I’ve never seen bean dip given for free. Some reviewers say the chips were thick, and they were, but they were also perfectly fried and crunchy. We ordered the Tableside Chopped Salad and the Pollo Borracho. The tableside chopped salad was huge and tasty! You couldn’t really taste the roasted corn, but everything together was really great. It’s a great meal salad and you likely won’t even finish the whole thing. If you’re looking for something warm, the pollo borracho was good too. I thought the chicken was a little too bland even though it was stuffed with a bunch of other goodies, but the S.O. liked it a LOT. The beans and rice were a good accompaniment and were delicious as always, but how do you mess that up? The prices were also pretty reasonable for the amount of food. The service was good and expected, nice people, quick to serve. Overall great place to go, will be back!

We were looking for a different restaurant but because Apple Maps is so horrible it led us here. We decided to try it because the building looked good though the signage was way too small to read from the road. The atmosphere was good & they had a few TVs strewn about. They serve salt-free chips, bean dip & salsa. The chips were fairly thick & not my favorite but they were good. We got queso at half price due to Happy Hour & we still paid $ 5 for it. My wife & I ordered the fajita combo & it was pretty good. The service was ok but again not 5-star worthy. If you’re looking for a good Mexican restaurant with a good bar & TVs & decent food try it out.

Last night we came in with our family, the food was good. The shrimp tacos were great. But we came in especially for the margaritas. Unfortunately the pitchers were WAY over priced and hardly ANY alcohol in them. We wished we would have said something last night we felt very taken advantage of, we are severely disappointed.

Very solid Mexican food for the mountains. It’s also extremely affordable as we’ll, not to mention very attentive staff. Give it a a shot. Also try the queso.

Based on my uncle’s suggestion, we made this trip from Denver all the way to Frisco, CO to eat in the mountains. The restaurant is right off Summit Dr and it is a classy Mexican restaurant. This is actually a chain, but the food and environment was pretty nice. The bar area was neat as you passed it on the way to the rest rooms. The salsa and refried beans is what they bring out with the tortilla chips. The salsa was very good with a kick. I asked for the spicier salsa, which they brought out, but it wasn’t as delicious. I got the grilled salmon with vegetables which was amazingly good for a Mexican restaurant. The carne asada looked pretty delicious as well, but didn’t try it. We got there around 4:30pm and by 6 when we were leaving, the restaurant was packed.
