I feel comfortable bringing my dog here. They always do a stellar job and try their best to do exactly what we ask for. Audra is the stylist we go to most often. She takes great care of my dog. Also the man that answers the phone the owner I believe… Is more than helpful and very kind every time we talk to him.

Let me just start off by saying that Jason saved the day! He booked me in the day before thanksgiving! My dogs (poodle and a maltipoo) needed full grooming service bad! I called the place where I usually take them and they were booked all the way through December. I knew about this place because of my boyfriend. He showed me a couple of pics on their site and I was impressed. The staff is very friendly and appreciative of your business! At first I was a little nervous to switch groomers, but the end result left me speechless! You could tell that he took his time with each of my dogs and I absolutely LOVED the end result! even though it’s a bit of a drive for me I can definitely say that I will be switching over for sure. I am one happy customer and my furry babies couldn’t be any happier :) they LOOKED AMAZING!

My mini labradoodle loves going here! They make him feel safe and welcomed. Have never had a bad hair cut from them. The employees are also very professional and take very good care of the animals.

Pretty impressed with the work they did! My dog looks perfect. She is very timid around strangers and some other places struggle with her and are too scared to work with her because she gets timid, and they are never patient with her.
Classy K9 were very patient and accommodating with my Bella and took their time to get it done right. She looked beautiful, cut was exactly what I wanted, and she didn’t look like it was at at-​home cut (where you can see the strokes of the clippers).
Prices were a bit high compared to a couple other places but I will be back for sure!

I bring my dog here and I’ve never been disappointed.

We have been using Classy K9 since our boys were puppies and we refuse to go anywhere else! They always do a phenomenal job and our boys are super comfortable with all of the staff. Our chihuahua is very nervous and has no issues getting a bath and nail trim. Our Pomeranian is always cut and styled exactly like we request!
We drive from uptown to this location specifically when it’s time for a new appointment.

Classy K9 Cuts gets 5 stars from me and my dog! With the cold weather and sick and tired of fighting with the dog to wash, brush and trim her hair and nails I decided to just pay to get it done. I will never do it myself again. They trimmed her nails, cut her hair, washed her, you name it, she looked beautiful! It took them a little over an hour, which is perfect — my dog didn’t have to sit in a small cage waiting her turn for hours like a lot of places.
The care they gave her showed, she is epileptic and had no issues, which speaks volumes: if she had been stressed about the care she was given then she’d have had a seizure within a few days.
Great service, but more importantly, great care given to your pet!

Wow! Best groom my 2 dogs have ever had. Extremely fast too. Chun was very thorough to find exactly what I wanted. All groomers were masters at their craft from what I observed and friendly! My dogs felt at ease when I picked them up so I know they treated them well. Will be my groomers from now on.

I took my 2 year old miniature goldendoodle in for a full groom. I wasn’t planning on writing a review, but three things were wrong with the experience. First, I asked them to please tell me if she was cut during the groom. I noticed a very large scab on her chest, but they neglected to tell me she was cut. Second, I questioned if they had even cut her nails when I picked her up. They looked really long, but they assured me that was the best they could do or the nails would bleed. I took her to MuttWorks the next day and they cut her nails for $ 10. Third, they did not address her anal glands as part of the full groom. I took her to the vet today because she wouldn’t leave the area alone. The vet expressed the glands for $ 17.70.
I will not return to this groomer. Ever.

***I was contacted by the owner of Classy K9 Cuts (the place in Frisco, near the Stonebriar mall — I know the difference in Plano and Frisco). He ask me to change my review because he claims to be the «new owner» of this business and feels my review is unfair. He claims to have become the «new owner» around the same time I took my dog there.
I stand by my review below. He may or may not be the new owner, he may or may not have been the owner when I took my dog there. I will never know because I will never take my new puppy there. All I can say is ALWAYS ask for references and ask your vet for recommendations before taking your pet to a groomer.***
I took my dog to this establishment to be shampooed and brushed. When I dropped her off everyone was pleasant and easily communicated with me. When I returned it took a while for someone to actually acknowledge I was there. When a young lady finally approached the desk she told me how much I owed. I paid. Then she told me that «something had happened, my dog had fallen off the table, she won’t stand up». Then that was all of the English she was able to speak. She refused to find someone else who would talk to me in English and indicated that her boyfriend would carry my dog to the car.
I was in shock that my, admittedly senior, healthy dog was unable to walk and that NO ONE could explain to me what happened.
I immediately took her to the vet who did x-​rays and told me that her hip was fractured. I tried to call and they pretended to not know what I was talking about and denied ever telling me that my dog had fallen. I called three more times and ask to speak to the manager/​owner — and was never able to.
My dog never fully recovered and spent the rest of her life in discomfort.
If you care AT ALL about your dog, don’t take him or her to this establishment!

I tried this place out for the first time after seeing their advertisement in the mail. It was easy to find which was a relief because nowadays, stores in Frisco are so hard to find with all the development and construction! The groomers were very friendly and the store looked very clean! I was even lucky enough to meet one of the owners. He was kind, and looked after me and of course my dog Maximus (labradoodle)! Thanks Classy!

My first dog is a 4 year old Shih Tzu/​Maltese. Jason has been doing Oscar’s hair for years. I get so many compliments on the cut and the look. One time I was at a rescue meet. Someone who lived in Arlington wanted to come here to Jason based on how cute they thought Oscar was.
This august, I rescued another Shih Tzu. Marley now goes to Jason too.
We are lucky we found a groomer who can trim with such finesse. I don’t even have to tell Jason what to do now.

I was very happy with the service we received. What stood out for me was that on our first visit, the owners were more than happy to call up our vet to make sure my dog’s vaccinations were up to date, which saved me the hassle of bringing his papers around. The haircut my dog receive was exactly what I wanted. The place was fast, clean and efficient.

I’ve been a customer of Classy K9 for 2 years now. I drive all the way from Fairview to come here… it is very out of the way. Unfortunately I’m going to downgrade my rating of this salon and look for a new groomer at this time.
I sought out this establishment to have my poodle groomed by Lisa (the former owner), who groomed show Bichons and knows how to deal with the poodle fur. Lisa did an excellent job on my dog for almost every haircut. I religiously pre booked my appointments with Lisa for almost 2 years until one day a couple months ago, I pick up my dog from the salon and discover that not only has Lisa quit, but they’ve had someone else groom my dog without telling me… and I can immediately tell, due to the quality of the cut.
I was upset to learn that my other dog, who had been groomed by a young lady, was passed off to some other groomer without my knowledge. A few bad haircuts occurred, but fixable ones since they were not cutting her face like I like them to do. The part that bothers me is that they didn’t even tell me that they switched groomers on me… I have to find out after two uncharacteristically bad haircuts. Now most recently, they must have given her to someone else (and I don’t know who) because her most recent haircut was far superior and one of her better haircuts. There is just a HUGE quality difference between the groomers here so you never know what you are going to bring home anymore.
I am now very upset that Lisa is gone, but since I have been going here for so long, decide to give it one more shot. I clarify that my dog is to be groomed by Roberto, someone who has groomed Tribble 2 years prior, and is supposed to be the next best groomer to Lisa. When I picked up my dog, I was appalled. They’d given my dog to someone else, not Roberto. That person shaved half of my dogs tail. All I wanted was the SAME haircut he currently had… yet they decided to change the pattern and give my dog’s tail a horrible butchered job. Poodle tails are NOT to be shaved all the way up the tail. You ONLY shave the very base of the tail. Here is a video, since apparently you need to be taught the correct way to groom a poodle tail:

It is going to take us forever to grow this hair back. I cannot stand when I see a poodle with a badly shaved tail. I want to go up to their owners and tell them that their groomer has done a terrible job. Now I’m one of those owners with an embarrassing haircut.
What did the salon say when I told them they’d messed up? «Oh». Obviously the hair can’t be glued back on to my poor dog, but how about an apology and taking care of your loyal customer?
This establishment no longer does color. This was a service they offered 2 years ago which we enjoyed paying for. They decided it was no longer worth it to offer (Why not just raise the price?) and stopped offering it.
This salon is still one of the priciest in the area. For a standard poodle and a shih tzu, I pay $ 130 before tip. I accepted the price in the past since I was getting a high quality groom. But now that we’re just being passed around from groomer to groomer and can’t get a consistent haircut, when I know my dogs are the most well behaved on the table, is ridiculous.
I miss Lisa. I’m angry. And I have no idea where to go to get my dogs groomed now.

For years I drove from Frisco to Seagoville to have my cocker groomed because I just don’t trust anybody to care for my pooch. I took my little guy to be groomed at Classy K9 and they were (in order of importance) friendly, quick and reasonably priced! When I noticed he was not cut exactly as I requested they did not make me wait, they quickly fixed the minor issue. Most of all my sweet boy did not return to me stressed out as he has been in the past with new groomers. I will be returning and am very happy that I found a groomer close to me that’s reasonable.

Normally I don’t review anything other than restaurants, but really happy how my 2 dogs came out. My golden retriever looked amazing, and my border collie mix coat looked great. Dropped both off and they were done in a little less than 2 hours.

I took both of my dogs to get groomed here. The scheduling was so quick and easy. I called on Tuesday, and they were able to get me in the following day. I dropped off my dogs at 8:00 a.m., and they were ready shortly after 9:00 a.m. Wow!!! So fast! It made me happy to know my dogs weren’t sitting in a kennel before and after being groomed for too long.
They did a GREAT job with my golden retriever, who has a very tricky coat to groom. I was amazed at how fresh and clean he looked when I picked him up. My other dog, a border collie/​retriever mix, just had a good bath and a de-​shed. Amazing job! She isn’t shedding anymore! The price was SUPER reasonable. I paid $ 81 for both dogs, when it normally costs just that for my golden. We will definitely be back.

We had been grooming our dog (a 15 year old cocker spaniel) here since February. We recently needed to get him in for his appointment and tried calling but we reached an answering machine and left a message. No one called back. We tried again, still couldn’t reach them. We had to go out of town and when we returned, we tried to call again, no luck. I had to get on their facebook page and ask to get a call from someone. It should have been my clue that something there has changed recently.
We set our appointment and I let them know that he had a couple of small mats on his front paw. They said they would have to shave him (for a couple of small mats?!) so before I took him in, I checked over his entire body including the undercoat for mats and cut any small mats out. I was certain (as an experienced groomer of this breed) he was fine and we wouldn’t receive any more «threats to shave» him.
Upon arrival, my husband said they continued to say he needed to be shaved. They let the groomer feel him and the groomer said he «might» be able to brush him out for an extra fee. I was shocked. Brushing a dog is a part of a full grooming service. He’s a cocker spaniel, we pay the fee for a full grooming and there’s not usually a charge for «brushing». I told my husband to bring him home, I didn’t want to take a chance they would shave him without my permission.
When Wil got home, I took my brush (a cheap slicker brush) and was able to EASILY brush all four legs and his underneath. I am familiar with the breed and groomed many rescued cocker spaniels over the years. There was no way this coat was «bad enough» to force a shave or pay anything outside the normal full grooming cost for «extra brushing out».
We chose a new groomer and took our cocker spaniel by to have the groomer check his coat. She promptly said this coat is in fine condition, no need for any extra charges to brush out tangles or mats and asked a second groomer to verify. I had only spent about 10 minutes at home brushing him. That was the only difference between this groomer and Classy K9.
When I called BACK to ask what exactly the issue was, I spoke to the owner, Roberto. He claimed my dog’s coat was too messy to be «combed» out. He said he couldn’t get the comb through his hair. Ummm… did he try? I doubt he made any effort. I’d like to think if I can do it, he should have been able to do it. He should have used a BRUSH first and then a comb. This is how experienced groomers do things (I’ve spoken to 4 different groomers to verify this.) When I expressed my displeasure, he said he didn’t have to deal with this and proceeded to hang up.
I don’t know about you, but I want my dog in good hands, with someone who cares about my dog and keeping me as a client. Was it worth it to lose repeat business over charging me extra to do your job? I guess it was to him. It’s really too bad.
I hope you will heed my warning and not take the chance with a lazy owner looking to squeeze every cent he can out of you.
