Doody Calls

This business sucks balls and should seriously shut down.
I also started with a Groupon. My initial clean-​up plus eight weeks of service was actually only good for four weeks (the company has trouble with math).
Another thing they have significant difficulty with is showing up and actually doing the work. I stopped calling the 800-​customer service number to complain as the owner of the Dallas franchise, who lives in Frisco, doesn’t give two shits about this business and has her mother from Pennsylvania call and harass people.
I’ve had every excuse in the book as to why they couldn’t service the yard from «we can’t find the house» to «we couldn’t open the gate». The gate doesn’t even have a lock on it.
I finally got fed up enough to cancel — and guess what!!! They finally started to show up to service the yard. I was like, dude — you gotta go — we’ve already hired a new service.
The fact that they didn’t do their job isn’t enough to keep grandma from calling to harass on an invalid invoice.

I must agree with the previous review. I’ve been using them for two weeks. The first visit, they charge you $ 40 (I have an extremely small back yard and it had been raining for days prior), when most of the waste was washed away. The second time they came, he was a day late (without notice), came before 8:00AM on a Saturday (again without notice) and talked on his cell phone the entire time he was in my yard. This woke up me, the family and the dog. And, he missed several spots as C.L. already mentioned.
Then, they failed to show up last Friday, no call, nothing. I was so mad after the second visit, I emailed and told them to cancel my services at the end of the month and not charge me again. 5 days later, no response. BTW, they tell you it’s $ 12.50×2 visits a week and then prorate this and that in. I had a $ 20 coupon and still paid $ 152 for the first month and they have no showed on me once, did a terrible job the other two times. I can pay my kids alot less than that and hold them accountable if they miss any. These guys are unreliable and unprofessional.
Do not use them!!!

I have used a few different companies for this service because who really wants to do this job? It’s a great idea for a business. Keep yards cleaned up and healthy. I’ve been paying for over 10 years and don’t regret it a bit. BUT…
I switched to Doody Calls a few months ago and the guy who services my area is awful. I understand this is not a great job but it is your job so DO IT. They leave a slip when they have come and one day it noted that they couldn’t get it all due to tall grass and leaves (we have a lot of Ivy in our yard). Okay, I get that, but what about that pile of poop you left over there with zero grass, leaves or anything else around it? There were lots of those.
Yesterday was the clincher for me. They could not provide service «due to locked gate.» Well, I have an escape artist dog and when he is out back he likes to open the gate. My former Eagle Scout husband prevents escape by putting two knots on our gate. They have never been a problem before, and I can tell you that simply untying them takes less than 60 seconds. That is apparently way too much work for our poop guy, so he just chose to leave his note and move on. Well, I choose to find another service. I’ve never had any of these guys provide anything less than stellar service. Congrats to Doody Calls picking up in east Dallas. Your service is equal to the stuff you pick up.
