First Impressions Salon & Spa

I chose this salon from Unilocal,but unfortunately did not have the positive experience other reviewers did. I received a horrible haircut here, one that months later I am still trying to fix. I was going for a short cut for the summer and the stylist cut my hair very unevenly, then overtexturized my hair leaving holes in my hair, making my once thick hair look thin and sad. I had to go get the cut fixed as much as possible two days after visiting this salon. It was a bummer all around, as I live close to this salon and was hoping to love it. I would not recommend this salon, well at least not if you want a short cut or if you typically get your hair texturized. I hate to leave a bad review, but do feel the need to warn others!
The owner was wonderful in responding to my post. Called me and was very apologetic. I would consider going back to have my hair done by the owner. I also received a full refund. Great customer service.

Their services are great. I get my eyebrows waxed here and the lady really takes her time to make sure everything looks good. I’ve also gotten great hair cuts. My only issue (and the reason I did four stars instead of five) is that it’s impossible to get them to call you back in a reasonable amount of time to actually get in to the salon :(

I was a walk in during the summer on a warm Thursday. Didn’t know if they would be able to take me for a haircut and style, but Joann was called and within 5 minutes, she was back at the salon. She listened to what I wanted and did a great job. She is very friendly and I want to take her back to Austin to cut and style my hair every month. Or, maybe the best thing is to leave hot Austin and come up here each month. Love her!!!

Lisa does a great cut and color. Her head massages are wonderful as mentioned by others. She listens to what you want and my hair is curly so a challenge. Cozy friendly atmosphere. Have not used April but hear good things about her also. She knows her straighteners.

I made an appointment to have my hair done while vacationing in Frisco. JoAnn did a beautiful job and offered me tea. I highly recommend this friendly and pretty salon with skylights and big windows on this quiet side street off of Main. Bonus: log home museum across the street, and easy, free parking.

Lisa was amazing. She got to know me and really cared about what I wanted. She also gives great head massages.

My first appointment was fantastic.
They use Bumble & Bumble products. My favorite!
My next appointment, 3 months later, with a different woman, not so much. She asked me to straight iron my own bangs cause she didn’t want to burn me. I appreciate her concern, but I had never been asked to do my own hair while paying for a highlight and style. I had also been quoted at 80 $ for highlights — but when we were done, she said «how about 90 $ instead of 100 $ sound» — hmmmm
I’ll be back because I love the products they use, but will be hoping for a different woman next time.
