Hope Fellowship Frisco West

After attending Hope Fellowship for seven months now we have just come to find out that this church is interdenominational with Catholicism. They see Catholics and Christians as one religion. This has been verified through the lead pastor, John McKinzie. If you are looking for a nondenominational church that is an evangelical fundamentalist Christian church, you should keep looking. Biblically, Catholics can become Christians as salvation through Jesus Christ is an open call to anyone, but that means following Jesus Christ only from that point forward. Catholicism and Christianity are not the same religion. Doctrinally they are fundamentally different and a solid study of both belief systems will reveal this, just as Mormons, Johovah’s Witnesses, and Latter Day Saints are not Christian. If you research the Reformation and Martin Luther, it is clear that there is no marrying the two religious foundations. To go down that slippery slope would lead to Unitarianism, which would include all religions as equal and valid as truth. Christianity draws a clear line to Jesus Christ being the ONLY way to Heaven and a relationship with God. The online description fooled us when we were evaluating this church’s statement of faith with its vague description that could almost apply to any church. Almost. Please do your due diligence and find out what a church truly believes and teaches doctrinally BEFORE allowing them to teach your children or you. My experience at Hope has been nothing short of fantastic. The people are so kind– hearted, and this place embodies community and love. There’s a sweet spot for churches where, for new believers it’s not too much or for more «advanced» (for lack of a better term) believers it’s not too little– I think Hope has found that balance. I feel totally confident bringing someone with me who has maybe never even stepped into a church, or someone who has gone to church their entire lives– either way I know the message is going to be applicable and everyone will walk away with something they didn’t come in with. I would highly recommend!
