History

Established in 1979.

North Texas Orthodontic Associates was established in 1979 by Dr. Jerome Schechter who set up practices in Allen and Plano. By the mid-80’s Dr. Schechter’s practice was growing quickly and he decided to add a partner. Dr. Donald Copenhaver joined in 1988, prior to starting his practice was a Colonel in the Air Force. Dr. Robert Lugo joined our group of Doctors in 1998. Prior to establishing his private practice, Dr. Lugo practiced and taught dentistry at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Dr. Carlos Nurko joined NTOA after completing his orthodontic specialty training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. All of the doctors at NTOA are Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. We are so pleased to have such wonderful, skilled Orthodontists who are passionate about Orthodontics. NTOA proudly has established offices in Plano, Frisco, Mckinney and East and West Allen

North Texas Orthodontic Associates is comprised of four highly trained Orthodontists who practice in Collin County. With five convenient locations in Plano, Frisco, Mckinney, East and West Allen one is sure to fit your needs. All of our orthodontist are Elite Invisalign Providers.
