Serenity Nails and Day Spa

I have had this problem before. You let them know your time line and ask can you do this and it is yes. They put you into a chair with your feet soaking and 30 – 40 minutes later someone finally comes up. You barely have enough time to get your feet done much less your nails. It ruins the relaxing experience of coming to the nail spa and you still have to return to another salon to get your nails done a few days later.

Service is awesome! The salon itself is relaxing and well maintained! They never fail with Nexgen I am happy every visit!

I love this place! Ive been going for 5 years or longer and I have never been disappointed. Their are ALOT of nail salons to choose from in the frisco area but they always have most experienced nail techs around and the owners are friendly and care about your experience. I recommend Serenity Nails next to market street in frisco!

This is a very good place to go and relax for an hour or so. I go every 3 weeks for a pedi and nextgen mani. T and Twee are amazing at doing the NexGen. They are meticulous with their work. If there ever was a complaint, the manager is very nice and fixes it immediately! The decorations are beautiful, making it a very relaxing atmosphere!

Worst service, front desk is totally disorganized, people behind us had been waiting over 40 minutes WITH an appointment — standing the entire time in their diminutive waiting closet…
We finally left after waiting in the front desk for 24 minutes with no one talking to us or signing us in…
Terrible, terrible, terrible…

I just paid $ 80 plus tip for a basic ass nextgen manicure and spa pedicure. Apparently a basic next gen color is $ 35 without any basic manicure steps like soaking her nails, cleaned and gently cuticle trimming. The $ 30 spa pedicure was basic outside of the exfoliating scrub and «green mask» whatever. It was $ 15 for the «express manicure» to get some basic nail care. I am visiting from out of town and never did nextgen before. It wasn’t that impressive. The manicure was basic service, kinda rough and quick. For instance the powder used left a purple residue on skin — normally is expect all color to be cleaned off my skin. Next gen is def diff from shellac. Much harder and thicker, like I can’t scratch my skin. I look foward to better service back at my usual salon at home.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Worst customer service. Worst pedicure. James =no. He couldn’t get done fast enough and was so sloppy and rough. Have never been treated like this and would NEVER recommend this place to even my worst enemy! If I could do ZERO stars, I would. He dug into my toes and wasn’t gentle at all. Obviously he doesn’t care if he gets repeat business. Thing that stinks for him Is I am an educator and will definitely let my entire school know this is not a place that ANYONE should visit or frequent if you want a great, relaxing experience. Most expensive I’ve ever paid and worst I’ve ever received. Will NOT be back. I would highly suggest you look elsewhere in Frisco.

Go anywhere else almost or better yet do it yourself. I paid $ 45 for an organic pedicure and honestly couldn’t say wow that was worth $ 15 extra dollars. I’ve been here once before but now I remember why I haven’t been here in over a year. The nail tech didn’t ask me any questions, long vs short, barely used a file on my feet, I had to ask her to redo the heels and it feels like my cuticles were butchered, hopefully they don’t get infected. The tech talked almost the whole time to the person next to her and many times to other people passing by, at one point clipping cuticles while looking at the other person next to her. There is nail polish on my skin around the nail. The «massage» part of the treatment felt like she was trying to touch my leg as lightly as possible just to rub in the lotion. It was actually worse than the first time I went here. It’s a beautiful place, but I wouldn’t waste my time or money again.

My daughter and I both had pedicures, and the massage was almost non existent, not to mention they forgot top coat.
We also got eyebrow waxing and my skin was burned from it–

The stars in my review comes from the place itself being so nice. I realllly wanted to like this place! I love that they have a ton of chairs, and curtains in between if you’re there solo! Also they have a great selection of hot tea. However, my excitement of finding a new nail was quickly turned to disappointment :(My mani is peeling the morning after, and I had to tell my tech three times that he was being too rough… which only got me a response to the tech beside him in another language and not much else! My pedi came out good, but it’s hard to enjoy it when you are in pain from the «massage». We were also never offered tea, but rather had to ask ourselves and also saw the group nearby offered and served champagne with no mention of it ourselves.
Overall, if in a crunch I might go back but with several other choices nearby I’m in no rush to return!

After visiting this place four more times, I have to downgrade their rating. The overall service has been horrible. The person I assume is the manager is so rude. I always call ahead for an appointment but they always tell me they don’t have one down for me when I get there. I know I’m calling the correct location because I verify on the phone. The most recent time I was there, they rushed through my pedicure, and it showed. They cut me on my toe. Ugh! Don’t waste your time.

I moved to the area a few months ago and decided not to make the drive to my old nail salon. I went in here for a mani/​pedi. I didn’t think it was anything special that isn’t offered elsewhere. Two days later and I have cuts along my cuticles and one hurts and appears infected. I thought at the time they were cutting them too much but figured maybe my old place didn’t do as good a job as I thought. Now I think the old place was better than I thought and worth a 15 mile drive.

When I walked into the salon, I thought «oh, how peaceful». I went in for a fill/​pedi. I brought my mom (who had a wonderful experience)
I’ll start with the good. The prices seemed lower than surrounding salons. My pedicure was awesome (Christine), altho the options seemed limited. They clearly looked like they had steady regulars.
As for my fill. The guy, who never introduced himself, was not pleased to have to do my nails. I was getting a pink/​color fill. my length was long and nails lifting and asked for a cut down (3x total). he started filing them down, and was huffin and puffin and fidgety. He told me he didn’t have time to do a new set and would try to fix them. (REALLY??) I had glued my index nail extensively and asked that he clip that down. He did not. He said that I had glued it enough. I just let him do his work — over 2 hours for a fill.
When i got ready to pay, I was charged extra for the color and gel overlay (which I was aware) however, not that i was charged extra because my nails were long! In addition, they didn’t have the same pink powder that my nails were originally done with. — i am so disappointed in this nail service.
That was Saturday. Today (Thurs) I have a lifted index finger in need of repair, horrible shape and visible lines of demarcation. i would never recommend this place for nails. I should have been advised that they don’t have my powder, the cost for length and a manicurist that was actually interested in providing the service.

I love this place; my first visit was AMAZING, and they have such an attention to detail (in their work). I feel very relaxed whenever I enter, and there is a no-​rush atmosphere when you are there. I did not give them 5 stars for two reasons:
1. On my last visit less than a month ago, they did not do the french manicure as requested, instead, they painted with color (which is not what I wanted); I do believe part of that is my fault — I should have said something when I noticed it, but the technician was already ½ way completed, and I did not want to hurt her feelings. I thought I was very clear on what I did want, but, se le vie…
They did try to charge me more, but once I explained what happened, they apologized (but in no way did it affect her tip!!!)
2. I do not like how they do not offer a beverage like the other places nearby … they do have hot tea available, as well as water and other options, but, if you do not ask, you do not receive. It may seem like a small request, but, I think those little things make a bigger difference.
I recommend this place to everyone, especially to moms and daughters; I took my 6 yr old just to have polish done, and we had a blast! Be sure to schedule an appt; the weekends can get VERY busy!

relaxing, soothing, pampering. Gorgeous lighting with crystal chandeliers (i love frisco) great pedis, beautiful nail artistry etc and a glass of wine. love it
