Had the worst customer service experience ever. Still, I had to pay for two months of tans I did not use — refused to use because I hated the way I was treated. I even wrote a letter to customer service and never heard a thing.

I have been a customer here for over two years, I must admit the customer service has been horrible until management changed recently. I now look forward to going in. Wow what a turn around! Between Maya the manager and Leanne the assistant manager, I’m more than impressed. They are bright, friendly, always remember my name, work tirelessly to correct any issues and keep the place clean, and they do not pressure me to buy products constantly, yet keep me pleasantly informed of any specials and sales. There is rarely a line now, waiting for someone to make a 15 minute sales, while 7 people wait to tan. NOPE, it is a total turnaround from everything I hated about this place before! I would still caution customers never to call the customer care number, EVER, unless they are into being abused and treated with disrespect in a way that DMV would be proud of. Instead, come in and talk to Maya and Leanne, they actually want to make things right and will work hard to help you until they do!

I had my credit card start receiving bogus transactions, so naturally I cancelled the card and had a replacement card sent. In contacting all the auto-​pay locations I had set up, I missed At The Beach. Their collections firm insisted I’d been contacted about this before late fees were assessed. Turns out they had the wrong number on file, which was why I was unaware of the issue. Did they offer to waive the fees? No. Even though I’d never been contacted? No. When I called the manager, did she offer to make it right for me? No. Needless to say, I’m cancelling my membership.

I got a staph infection from one of the level one beds. My $ 10 a month membership ended up costing me over $ 400 in medical bills. –_–
