and at the Rogers Avenue location since 1980. Midas of Fort Smith has been family owned for 3 generations. The present owner, Kevin Smith, was actually a customer of Midas for 20 years prior to purchasing the business. He knows what it is like to be sitting in one of the lobby guest chairs. Kevin tells his customers, «when you hand me your keys, I give you my word».

Kevin graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1983 with a BSBA and MBA in Business. He moved to Fort Smith that same year, and spent the next 30 years in corporate management where he learned the importance of building long-​term, happy customers. In fact, Kevin was actually a customer himself of Midas Fort Smith for 20 years, and when the opportunity arose to acquire the business, he pounced on it. Kevin lives 2 minutes away from the shop and is on-​site daily. Don’t expect him to work on your car though. Rather, he has built a staff that exemplifies the business name: Midas Auto Service Experts. His motto is: «when you hand me your keys, I give you my word». Kevin has been married to Kathy for 27 years, is the father of four and a member of Central Presbyterian church. He is also a part-​time, adjunct instructor at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.
