I have been coming to see the ladies at Avanti for a little over a year now and my skin has improve so much!
All throughout my teens and even early twenties I was very, very oily and had acne prone skin. I had heavy pigmentation on my upper lip because that is where I would always break out. This is going to sound odd, but I could smell the sebum on my face; my sister even commented on it once After my first consultation, I decided to go with a cleansing facial series and the Scarlet treatment. I was nervous about the scarlet, especially bc I had a girlfriend coming to visit the very next day; however, the owner reassured me that I would actually look quite good the next day. What stood out the most was the color of my skin. It looked so healthy! I didn’t have a pizza face, I had no pain, I was fine.
With regular cleansing facials and a series of IPL I’ve stopped having breakouts (aside from a little baby pimple during that time of the month that’s so small it doesn’t leave a scar) and the pigmentation has diminished. They also give you crucial skin care instructions before you leave.
They do a great job at massaging the skin and décolleté, even going under your upper back to rub out any tension. I always fall asleep when they put on the finishing mask and usually wake myself up by my snoring.
I’ve also had my beauty marks removed. I’m quite the baby when it comes to pain tolerance, but the numbing cream is super effective. I’ve noticed that some areas are painful regardless, but there have been a number of spots that the owner was shooting the laser and I didn’t even realize. When you know she’s shooting it… you know.
I feel that Avanti has taught me a lot about skin care and that my skin will get better and better with age.

Great service at Avanti Skin Clinic! I took advantage of the Unilocal mobile deal for the 15% off IPL treatment to help get rid of existing acne scars and it worked wonders! Granted, it took two sessions, but that’s because the laser targets the root of your skin cells to help create an even complexion on your skin. I’ve had a few tough acne scars since high school, and I’m very glad that Avanti was able to help me get rid of them! ⁵⁄₅ for that!
I also bought a dermatology prescribed non oily sunscreen from Avanti in anticipation of the summer season. Normal sunscreen usually gives me complexion problems, so I’m hopeful that this will help keep my skin clear over the next few months. I will write a review for the product once I try it!

Bought the basic 60 minute facial on groupon. This does not include extractions and if you want to do that it’s an extra $ 50. Facial was nice and relaxing. Skins feels very moisturized. Not bad for the price.
The place is very clean and nice. There’s good amount of parking. Everyone in the building is Korean, and only the receptionist lady knows English, however everyone is very friendly and the receptionist will come in and translate what the esthetician is saying for you.
At the end they will try and sell you their products and additional packages but they aren’t too pushy.
Overall pleasant experience

My two friends and I came in last Friday and all had appointments at the same time. However, an hour before our scheduled appointment, my friend got a call saying they only had two estheticians and if we could come in earlier, they could try to accommodate us. Talk about last minute. I think each of us complained to the receptionist that had she gave us more notice, we could have come earlier. Also, she said that the person who scheduled us made an error, but I remember calling and asking specifically if they could accommodate three of us at once since they do have three rooms. The person who had answered said they could — they would schedule three estheticians to be there. Guess not!
One friend arrived 15 minutes prior and was seen right away. I was seen around 1:15, so even though I arrived at 12:50, I had to wait. I would have come at my normal time otherwise. What a mess. My other friend wasn’t seen until later as well. As a result, we did not get the full 1.5 hours (we had to be somewhere by 3 p.m. so we specified this), but that was fine with me bc a lot of it is spent just lying there under an infrared lamp and waiting for a peel off mask to dry. I’d rather cut down the downtime lying there and have a shorter facial, like an hour’s worth. The facial itself is fine — just be warmed that the wedding facial advertised on Groupon does not include extractions. I didn’t want any extractions anyway, but my other two friends did. Overall, the facial was fine, and my skin felt hydrated afterwards. I enjoyed the neck, shoulder and arm massage, too, which they perform during one point of the facial. For $ 35 on Groupon, it was a good deal, but minus the mix up with the scheduling. Place is clean and there’s ample parking.

This review is for the scarlet treatment as well as the Unilocal promotional offer. My experience with Avanti started off by my initially calling in to schedule a consultation; please note that while some places charge for a consultation, that does not apply here. In the consultation session, which is where I met Sandy (the manager), she asked me about my history with my overall skin complexion, asking me to focus on my face but not withholding information about other relevant areas as well. She could immediately tell that I had acne in the past, for apparently the remnant scarring that ensued as a result of previous extractions was visible. Sandy recommended the Scarlet treatment as she stated that it would visibly and intrinsically lessen the scarring on my face, all while restoring the overall balanced complexion of my face. I just finished my second session with her, and since Sandy takes photos of before/​after, I will request a copy and upload them here.

I received a voice message from the receptionist about my review and sounded like the owner/​manager wanted to correct the situation.
I returned their call today and the manager apologized about the miscommunication.
She offered my first visit a comp so that we can start all over again.
I don’t really need that comp and I’ll just be happy with getting the proper facials on my 2^nd and 3^rd visits.
I also realized how hard it is for businesses these days b/​c most people my age and younger don’t do face to face interactions.
Everything is done via email or using some sort of SNS communication.
So unless you’re in that «zone», you really can’t reach out to your dissatisfied customers and most likely you’ll never even know what happened or what’s really going on.
Props for the shop manager for even knowing about Unilocal.
Either way, I added a star for their effort to make it right and I’ll re-​evaluate after my next visit.

Today I used one of the three 90min wedding facial sessions I bought through groupon.
BEWARE! They do not do what’s advertised.
I was not very satisfied and I hate places that don’t pull through with their offer.
I didn’t get my arms massaged and I didn’t get my vitaminC mask. I got the moisture mask instead.
They basically gave me something below a Basic facial.
I questioned who seemed to be the owner and she said I did get the wedding facial.
Then why does it say Basic facial on my chart!!!
Then she said something about how this deal shouldn’t have been offered on Groupon but they’ll still honor it.
I don’t care if Groupon put up the wrong deal… that’s not really my problem…
I’m sure if it were Groupons’ fault, they would have just cancelled my transaction and given me my refund.
It was probably a language barrier.
Also the owner and the facialist speaks Korean.
So English speaking clients may have a hard time communicating with them.
I’ll try talking to them about it and see what they say but it shouldn’t have to come to this point and honestly I don’t feel like «talking» to them.
Because I bought this for a great deal on Groupon, I’ll give it 2 stars. 1 star for not meeting their offer and 1 star for having a chance at redeeming themselves.
Otherwise if I bought this at full price, I would have been upset and never come back.
The receptionist girl speaks English.
It was pretty clear what deal I bought on the redemption site but she seemed confused and tried to upgrade me to what I already bought… I said I bought the wedding facial but I guess that’s not clear enough.
Too bad I wasn’t really aware of this when I was there.
I tried to look it up on my phone but didn’t have enough time.

I went to Avanti as i had some deep acne scars on my face and i was recommended to get Scarlet treatment. I was told that Scarlet not only heals the scar but also helps acne prone skin. My Breakouts have been visibly gone and Im still working on my deep scarring. My face has never been looking this smooth! Every staff over here is super nice and welcoming too.

I’ve always had super sensitive pale skin acne; i think it just runs in my genetics. I stumbled upon Avanti skin clinic b/​c it’s a small office near my hometown, and after a few facial treatments that involved a lot (I mean, a lot) of decleansing and exfoliation, my pores are smaller and my acne scars have started to fade. But the bulk of the review is on the subsequent treatments. While I was extremely happy that my pores were smaller and my acne scars started to fade, the scars that remained were incredibly stubborn. That’s when Sandy offered up the scarlet treatment that uses LED lasers to diminish these scars over time. At first I was hesitant, but when Sandy personally guaranteed her work b/​c she’s so intent on building relationships with her customers, I opted in. I just feel like I get quality for what I pay – they even massaged my neck, arm, hands and upper back in what I can recall as an extremely relaxing environment.”

Sandy was awesome with me! She is very professional and makes you feel at home. The price is very reasonable and I’m extremely happy with the results. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I am currently in my second month within acne treatment with Sandy, and my skin has cleared up so much. I have been seeing Sandy for over 2 months now, and I have undoubtedly seen improvements in my skin over the course of time. I have had acne for over 5 years, some would tell me that it’s due to the diet that I possess, others would tell me that it’s genetics and it would eventually pass. However, after no signs of improvement post adolescent years, I decided to seek Avanti Skin Clinic’s service because I was in desperate need of a solution. Keep in mind that prior to seeing Sandy (owner of Avanti), I have tried acne creams that derive from both prescription and non-​prescription.

The first thing I look for in any aesthetician or dermatologist skin clinic is flawless skin of the managers to reflect the efficacy of their practices and treatments. Therefore, though I made an appointment with Avanti Skin based on the Unilocal Reviews, I was very pleased when I walked through the door to see the owner greet me (she had flawless skin!). I mentioned the Unilocal Deal and she discounted my Botox Treatment by 15%, which she included in as a package with my upper lip hair removal. Since summer is rolling around, I definitely plan on soaking up the Southern California Sun, which will ultimately warrant a sun exfoliation treatment sometime soon.

You can’t beat the Unilocal deal! Avanti Skin Care is always fair in giving me discounts, and it’s extremely helpful since I have been looking for a skin clinic to maintain my skin ever since I moved. While this isn’t a 5-​star $$ glorious spa, it’s a great place for people to get their money’s worth if you want to maintain your skin in all aspects, ranging from acne, black moles, to scarlet rejuvenation and face massages. Sandy (whose name I know b/​c she’s very thoughtful in introducing herself to each of her customers based on my observance). Summer is here, and I plan on coming in for a sun-​damage session for my face.

I visit avanti skin care time to time when my skin condition gets worse periodically throughout the summer and winter. I always undergo the skin moisturization package and exfoliation, which includes a variety of vitamins. Sandy, the owner, is my long time friend and practioner, and though a language barrier exists, Sandy has never failed to treat me with respect and uphold the same level of standard as she does with other customers. Sandy, if you’re reading this, your english has improved significantly! I’ll see you next week

I came here to get my moles off. They have a great new technology called CO2. It doesnt hurt at all but it only worked for superficial moles. The deeper ones needed the painful one. Overall great experience. I went 2 times. The second time is for retouch and they didnt charge a cent. Would recommend. It got my moles off. The big ones had some scarring but it worked.

I was in the Fullerton area this summer visiting relatives and after an extended trip to China, I was breaking out in a way I haven’t experienced since high school. My aunt referred me to Avanti so I figured why not give it a shot? It was summertime and if the treatment go as planned, well, I could hole up in my room and hide from everyone.
Their acne removal process is fairly simple and relatively painless. I have frequented salons before in the Bay Area, and let me tell you– the dermatologists I used back home popped and squeezed pimples as if they were bubble wrap. It hurt and left some conspicuous scabs on my face for the next two weeks.
Sandy, though, was professional and honest when she assessed my acne. She didn’t try to convince me to come in 5 or 8 times to get more of my business. She told me upfront my acne was moderate and only required two treatments, which I was able to conveniently spread out over two weeks during my stay in LA. Some users here mentioned she behaved like «a used car salesman». Honestly, it’s a business. Some may not tolerate it as much as others, but it’s the same experience as if you went to a restaurant and the waiter explained to you the daily special. If you don’t want the product, then don’t buy it. No need to get agitated over it when a simple «no» is all that is necessary.
That said, I think the service was considerably above average. I felt taken care of, Sandy was responsive to my needs, and I believe the staff genuinely wanted to help me with my problem. It’s hard to find that kind of service nowadays. To prove my point, I was surprised when I saw the 3-​star review, given the 21 other «filtered» reviews that average consistently in the 4 to 5 star range.
All in all, I highly recommend anyone looking for hospitable service and effective treatment to drop by Avanti. You will not only be supporting a local business, but also– just as importantly of course– fixing whatever problem you had when you first walk through those doors.

I’ve been going this place about 2 years and it works great for me. My acne was out of control, but this clinic treated my acne and now my face is clean! The thing with this treatment is you have to constantly go to treat your acne. You can’t just go once or twice and be done with it. It takes time to treat your acne and this place knows what their doing.

I’ve been going to this place for about 8 months now. I was desperately looking for a place to treat my acne and visited half a dozen places around Fullerton, but nobody seemed to know how or why (I didn’t have pimples but super tiny bumps in my cheeks and they were starting to spread down to by chins). I was referred to this place by a friend, and they really helped clear my skin. I got acne treatment every week for about 4 – 6 months consistently and got 3 IPL laser treatments. My skin has definitely cleared up and my friends and co-​workers keep complimenting its great condition right now. To be honest, I think you get what you paid for. It may be a bit costly and time-​consuming, but you’ve got to be patient in order to see it work. If you’ve been to many places for something similar to mine and can’t seem to find a solution, give this place a try!

Received a gift of 10 underarm laser hair removal sessions which I split with my sister for 5 sessions each (since that’s all you need according to my friends who have had laser hair removal). The place is run by Koreans so don’t expect too much english, if at all. The place is also small with two rooms and a consultation office that is rarely used (Most and all consultations occur in the waiting area so don’t expect any privacy here). I noticed that the prices are a bit higher compared to other places but the clientele is mainly neighborhood korean women who aren’t interested in the inconvenience of driving out a bit. The owner here when you meet her will give off a car salesman vibe every time you go in for a session and will try and sell you everything and anything under the sun. I suggest you don’t get suckered in on those extra products or services she says you seriously need. (Some of the products aren’t FDA approved also).
I could not stand the lack of professionalism and bedside manner this place offered. The owner will announce to the whole waiting area about what procedure or service you finished and how terrible your skin/​condition is in front of everyone! During your session if you tell the owner you don’t need a product she’s trying to sell or are unhappy with something she will straight up tell you that you are exhausting and to just listen to her and do as she says! I was disgusted with her bedside manner and gave her some attitude each time I went in for a session and denied her sales pitch for a facial or some product each time, saying that my skin is terrible and I really need it. So she would complain about me to my sister whenever she went in for her session and they would both have a bitch talk fest on my behalf (but my sister, that unloyal, two faced snake would come home and tell me about the owner’s rant about me). Show’s how this place is run and treats their clientele. So hopefully you don’t run into anyone here that you know because there is a definite lack of privacy and tons of gossiping. My session with the other nurses fared a bit better but the owner definitely sets a bad tone to the business.
Also didn’t see much of a difference on the laser hair removal after 5 sessions at this place. I believe the laser they used is nano light or something. After the third session and seeing only a slight difference and some complaints about it, I stopped going as religiously every recommended two weeks. On the fourth session when I came in three weeks later, as soon as I walked through the door the owner announced to the waiting room that I will not see results and they can’t be held responsible since I am a week late for my laser hair removal session. I told her I know I won’t see results cause I haven’t been seeing them up until this point so lets just get this over with since you’re not gonna refund my money anyway. She boldly dictated (not kidding) to just give my last two sessions over to my sister (I’m guessing it cause they get along better together anyway). I was like no way! I drove over here after you took my appointment and now you’re telling me to just leave! The audacity of this place astounds me! Well this was my experience with this place and hopefully it helps others out there get a feel of this establishment and their business manner. I definitely won’t be recommending this place or coming here ever again for sure!
