Barbara Macias, DDS

Dr. Macias has been our family Dentist for the last two years and she is terrific!
She takes her time making you comfortable and she’s very gentle. In fact, our kids actually look forward to their dental appointments!
If you are looking for a new dentist I would strongly recommend Dr. Macias. She is very knowledgeable but more importantly she and her staff treat you like family.

I have on of the biggest phobias of Dentists… Dr Macias and her staff were Amazing, and put me at ease !

I agree with all of the other reviews here. If I could give her six stars I would. Dr. Macias and her staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I actually look forward to going to my dentist appointments. Her assistant, Theresa is also outstanding. And Tricia, who runs the office, is a rock star.

I was at a dentist for years who I thought was providing excellent care. When his level of care declined I took a friends recommendation to try Dr. Macias. Best move ever. Not only does she explain everything she is doing she explains in a way that you understand. Her staff is top notch and just as caring. I called because a filling from the previous dentist fell out and they were so accommodating, though they won’t admit it I suspect they worked through there lunch break to fix me up. Do your self a favor and make the switch yourself

Dr. Macias called us to wish our son a happy first birthday. (Yea blah blah blah you say?)… she called us two years after we left her for Washington State. Dr. Macias is not only caring, she also has years of experience. She is on top of her research, and is just as savvy as she is pragmatic. Most importantly, she is just plain gorgeous. Her smile alone will cure most craniofacial pain. Tricare is accepted, call them to confirm.

After going to another Fullerton dentist (who had very high ratings btw) who made me feel like I was in a used car dealership, I was worried I would not be able to find a great local dentist. It seems in Fullerton that there are so many dentists competing for clients that they use every opportunity to gouge instead of building a long term relationship.
But, Dr. Macias Smith is not one of them. She is incredibly thorough and takes time to explain everything to you. Instead of handing you an estimate that would bowl you over with sticker shock, she helps create a reasonable plan for your teeth. She makes you feel like she really cares about «you» as the patient, instead of seeing $$ signs over your head. (Yes, there are no foot massages, parafin hand treatments and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies — but is that really why you go to the dentist?)
I would highly recommend her to anyone. Our family is thrilled she decided to move her practice here. Lucky us!

OK so you may think I am crazy but I am so dedicated to Dr Barbara that I drive or fly from Redwood City to Fullerton just so see her and her staff! (that is about six and half hours) She used to be next door to my business and had to relocate to southern California. It not only gives me a Southern California Vacation but also I get to be with a Dentist who is thorough, Comforting, smart and trustworthy. Something you want in any relationship professional or personal! Her prices are reasonable also.
