Burger Records

Now this is a good record store! Nice eclectic mix, turntables to listen on, and couches to relax on. Prices are decent, and because of the name I asked for their recommendation for a good Burger. The suggested the Florentine Grill, and the burgers there were AWESOME!

It’s on an under construction road at the moment and the location throws you off. I’ve been here before when I was a college student attending CSUF and took my family here recently (my father got a new record player and wanted to get some records). At first glance they were put off at first, but I assured them they had some gems and a diverse selection.
They have plenty new, which costs about $ 22. Used vinyls start at $ 4 and, depending on the record, can go up to $ 20+.
Their hip hop section is pretty small. Come here if you’re looking for rock, blues, jazz, world or indie.
There are two black cats that chill in the store and add that extra charm to Burger Records.
The employee working at the time was playing some bomb jams, he was pretty bomb himself too.
Parking is cake

I brought my daughter here on Record Store day to see Dressy Bessy play in store! It was AWESOME! We’ll definitely come to check out the vinyl more closely sometime!

I like this store a lot. I’m a classic rock guy, and they have a nice selection of that… a lot of variety, genre’s at Burger… staff was cool… prices very reasonable. I will be back, and recommend to others!

If you are serious about keeping your record game tight, schlep on over. Even if (especially if) you’re in LA.
To know Burger is to love them; and if you like the new music they put out (you do) or the amazing stuff they routinely dig up and reissue (you do) you will find in their ample used bins the blueprints/​genetic material/​grand design behind everything they do: namely, honoring and loving the heck outta jams past and present. Curating them. Spinning them. Then selling them.
I always leave with a haul. You will too.

Drove out here from riverside, totally worth it. Had a great selection of music. Went specifically for 45’s to fill my juke box. Great selection of LP’s as well. Found some great stuff! Staff was friendly and even kept the doors open late for us. Love the cute guard cat! Will definitely be back, thanks!

I would spend more time and more money here if I could but I’m super allergic to cats. They live on the records so that doesn’t help if I were to take anything home. :(

My first time visiting today and I came out with a nice selection for a more than fair price. Love this place and I will return for sure. Cool people! :)

Never really got Burger.
I’ve been a number of times, both when I lived in Orange County and since I’ve lived in Los Angeles. Every time I go expect to «get» what everyone loves about this place so much but really… never have.
Burger mostly wheels and deals with run-​of-​the-​mill older records. On the right side of the store there are some slightly newer records but this is really a house of dusty tunes. The selection is fairly decent and the stock turns over pretty quickly. The store is organized just well enough to know your way around but not enough to find what you’re looking for quickly– which is great for diggers. Also, this place has tapes. Yes. Those.
The store also has a great selection of 45’s.
The prices are fine. A lot of the items are honestly dollar bin items that have been hiked up one too many bucks. Other items are completely reasonable.
ugh on the service. Does anybody work here? This place confuses me. Lots of couches. Lots of people that are maybe employees on couches? Every time I’ve been in it’s been unpleasant– enough to get me out the store quicker than I’d expected.
The one thing burger does that is really cool is produce their own stuff. They’ve got an awesome presence throughout Southern California. They do tapes and vinyl. A lot of cool smaller artists. So yes, If you want to get Burger stuff your best bet is to come here.
Oh, there’s a cat. The cat is cute. That is a good thing.

I saw their booth at this Year’s East Side Flea Market @ Levitation. I’ve actually been to their store in person as well a couple years ago on a separate CA trip. Decent amount of selection on new and used records. I didn’t expect to get anything walking in, however, came out with a lot in hand. Of course at Levitation they only brought a small sampling of their items across the border, however, you get the idea of what they would have at their store front. Both instances the customer service has been awesome.

By far not the cheapest record shoppe, but for Orange County this is as good as it gets. Always find something here. Friendly and knowledgeable staff aswell.

I was impressed with their selection and prices. Downside was the gothic creatures vaping outside and the bizarre stench of weed, pets, and b.o. but eh… i guess i didn’t expect much.

Hands down the dingiest record store in California, along with the kids that work there. This place was amazing when it first opened. Great selection and great prices. I dont know what has happened over the past years but the prices are crazy expensive. And when you discog them to review the price of the record when it last sold online or atleast to get an idea of where they getting there pricing. Who knows what they reference for their pricing. But cant bash them for everything, the selection is nice, just inflated pricing.

So this was my first time into the store, and nobody welcomed me none of the employees asked if I needed help or anything, they were busy doing their own things. So I proceeded to look around and everything was organized such a strange way I couldn’t find anything until I figured out they organized the albums by last name first (ex: Paul Simon = Simon, Paul) once I got used to it, I found the albums I wanted but we’re waaaaay too overpriced every album I picked up had lots of wear and tear but they gave prices like they were made of gold! Never coming back

this place is great! yes it does smell like weed but i dont really mind. the employees were extremely nice and helpful! they also had a cat who was very sweet :)

They have a pretty wide selection, and I have found some gems here.
A good rock, indie and punk selection.
Most prices are pretty descent.
If you are into the Cassette Tape revival then you will like this shop.
Oddly enough, I don’t feel like they push their own label releases or have all of them for sale in the store.

I happened to be in the area so I decided to check out the mother ship of some of the coolest music to be coming out of LA. And when they say RECORDS they mean it as it was pretty much all old skool vinyl and cassettes.
The CD selection was pretty limited — I was hoping for more given that these guys run the label and I’d rather support them directly versus going thru Bandcamp or God forbid iTunes.
That said I did manage to drop some cash at the shop on some music.
As others have noted, the place abso-fu’ing-lutely reeks — the concoction is a mélange of weed, sweat/​BO, mold/​dust from the packaging on the old vinyl, and probably piss/​vomit caked into the old furniture in the back. Just breathe thru your mouth if it gets too overpowering.
Long live Burger as it is one of the last few of its kind.

I did a quick search for record stores near CSUF, and this spot was top of the list.
My entrance was greeted by the aroma of a very particular plant which is widely celebrated in California. This isn’t the biggest record store you’re going to wander into, but what they excel in here is stocking some choice records that aren’t so easily found elsewhere.
Like any good store, they’ve got a nice selection of wall hangers up front. I spied more than a few hard-​to-​find LPs that were going for good prices. In the bins, you’ll probably find a good dozen or so records if you have a wide range of tastes. Their soundtrack section, though only a mere three bins wide, had a solid diversity of titles.
On my way out, there was a young-​ish lady sitting outside who asked if I wanted to smoke weed with her. Right there. On a school chair. In front of the store. I had previously overheard her asking anyone who walked by if they knew where a motel with $ 40/​night rooms was within walking distance. Clearly, she wasn’t from around here. I didn’t feel like acquiring any number of diseases, so I politely declined.

Great selection for LP’s I have to say.
Though most of it are all used.
Decent prices.
