C.O.R.E. Physical Therapy

I had a dislocated shoulder on a snowboarding trip. The doctors at CPT helped a lot! With each session I was able to regain more and more of my movements. I also learned a few good tips to strengthening my shoulder and back muscles which were somewhat weak to begin with. Thanks CPT!

Omg I didn’t think physical therapy would help and I seriously walked in referred by my ortho specialist and Matt and josh are just awesome!!! Highly recommend. My 2 athletic kids will be coming in for some strength agility speed and conditioning soon will also … The therapists have all been very good to me

I am a patient of Dr. Ziad’s and his PT staff. I have been very pleased with my treatment and progress. This isn’t my first experience with physical therapy and from the very first visit, I could tell they know what they are doing. Bonus is you get a pressure point massage on your afflicted area that feels like it really releases the muscle spasms.

I came here for about 2 months. I saw 4 different PT’s and half the time they had aides tending to me. Not very good at personal care. I also had to cancel a few of my appointments due to my newborn baby. They charge you $ 35 if you don’t cancel in 24 hours. I signed a paper. Sure I get that. What about being stuck in traffic? That would suck for someone. My real issue is they don’t charge you if you reschedule another appointment. So all this «we have many patients and every slot should be filled. That’s why we need to charge you» is crap. Why not charge me f I decide to reschedule? Oh ya, because you get another check from my insurance. They are just out for the money. They also could never figure out how to make my pain better. They said to just keep doing my exercises. Well, it never got any better. It actually got worse. ALSO, my pain got much worse after one of their PT’s used a machine on me incorrectly. I told him it was hurting and he said it was supposed to feel warm and maybe that was the pain I was feeling. I kept feeling pain so I asked him to stop. He said he was new to that location and didn’t know how to use their machines. What?!? You just used a machine in me and didn’t know how to fully use it? Some people would sue for that negligence. I had worse pain for 3 weeks due to that. I decided after that I wasn’t going back but my «next appointment» was less than 24 hours away… so, I got charged $ 35. And most of the time the «PT» working on me wasn’t even a real PT yet. He was in school. I saw a real PT twice. Twice. That’s it. After like 10 appointments with them. A few months after leaving them I went on a strict diet of no sugar and guess what? My tendinitis went away completely. I’m surprised they don’t mention diet in their therapy sessions. All this is to say, they are not all that professional. And if you have a, what they call, «simple injury» be prepared to not get personal care or great service.

This is personally my first experience with PT, but I’ve been there while my mom went through it for her arm, and both my dad and younger brother have torn their ACL, so I’m not a complete noob.
I absolutely love this place. They are everything u was looking for in terms of physical therapy. I broke my shoulder a month ago, and they are doing everything to help me heal at the pace my body allows. They all really seem to care about all of the patients (clients?), and the assistants do as well. I feel completely comfortable with each of the staff that I’ve worked with.
I would definitely recommend this to someone in need for PT, and I’ve seen then doing great things to help people that are overweight to get moving. There are always smiles everywhere. That’s a good sign.
Hopefully, I won’t need PT again after this, but if I did I would choose the people at C.O.R.E. Physical Therapy.

Extremely, extremely disappointed in them this time around. 4 days of calling the office and they are STILL verifying my benefits. Mind you, I went there I for 10 months in 2013 and again for 3 months earlier this year. My insurance has not changed. Every time I call, I get a different person and a different answer.
Lack of Customer service has been my fear in coming here since my last visit. They have an extremely high turn over of PT’s due to the fact that they take in college students or newly licensed PT’s. The reception staff is always changing as well.
The 1^st time I went, it was 5 stars all the way. The 2^nd session of appts, I’d say 3 stars. And now, I can’t even get an appointment. So much for loyalty.

I have been a client since 2011. I had heard that exercising would help my fibromyalgia pain besides losing weight. I came to know James Maynard in 2012. My first impression of James was he really knows what he is talking about, but the man is going to kill me. The first year James taught me about nutrition and excersize. The most important thing he taught me was COMMITMENT to take better care of myself. In 2013 I was diagnosed with cancer. James got me started with Usuana supplements and strengthed my body as well as my mind. Next month I will cancer free for two years. I have also lost 34 pounds. James, I will always be grateful for what you have done for me! You can teach a old dog new tricks… I will be 62 in June. If you are looking for a life-​changing experience James is your guy!

I had a great experience with CORE Physical Therapy. Mark helped me every step of the way and I couldn’t be happier with the service there! 5 stars for sure!

I can’t recommend CORE highly enough. I started going there about a year and a half ago, when I won a free personal training session with James. He introduced me to CORE’s amazing wellness program that includes individualized training and one-​on-​one time with him working on each client’s desires and needs. I had always been a gym rat, but had NEVER seen results like I did when I started working with James on a regular basis. When I suffered an injury last year, James customized my workout to strengthen and support my injury until it was completely healed. On another note, the staff at CORE is friendly and work together well. They seem to thoroughly enjoy what they do and always have smiles on their faces. It’s a very positive environment, whether clients are working out or receiving therapy. I don’t think at this point I ever need to go anywhere else!

we needed a place for my daughter to rehab her shoulder (softball pitcher) so we heard about core and took her there, her rehab was so good we decided to have her see james as a personal trainer to get her ready for division 1 softball.(APP STATE) he did such a great job in preparing her for what to expect in college with the workouts that my wife, son, nephew, father in law and myself were all getting trained by james at one
wife and i love it james set up your program and if you have any questions he is always there to assist you. i love going to core my workouts are amazing. i love how i feel after my workouts and really love the strength and how my body is looking. my wife also takes advantage of the bootcamp, pilates classes and also the yoga classes that they offer at no extra cost. i recommend core for anyone that really wants to workout and improve their health. james is an awesome trainer that will push you and the other oeople who go to him as well as the staff are all nice and down to earth and always willing to help in any way. i am 47 and i have never felt better in my entire life. when i first started with james i was taking high blood pressure meds. just got back today from seeing my primary doctor and i no longer have high blood presure and i owe it all to james and core. i recommend core for anyone who cares about improving their lives with good health and excercise!!!

I’ve been to a few physical therapists but my main problem — to balance my walk after total hip replacement surgery — remained for sometime. Then I ventured to try CORE PT, Matt took care of it. I want to take this opportunity to extend my deep appreciation for his skills, knowledge and professionalism in handling my case.
During my visit last week, I told him about the pains in my back, around my shoulders, and up to the neck. I can’t imagine how he did it but my back and shoulder pains were all gone and surprisingly, even my clogged nose was cleared. And I thought that I went there only for the post-​surgery therapy!!!
The staff — they’re all accommodating, efficient and friendly. Most often, I need a taxi to bring me home. Anyone of them would offer to make the call, what a big relief!

I was just recently sent to Core Therapy for a back issue, we I started working with the therapist and the staff, it has been a very positive experience. I have been through a few different therapist lately for a surgery on my Achilles over a year ago, they have determined that the back issue is caused by my running with the Achilles still hurting. They have taken me back and are attacking the root cause of the problem. I am getting very positive results working with the crew (Tamara-​John-​Jacob-​and Taylor). Each one of them is very professional, friendly and really takes the time out to explain what I am going through.
The front office staff is easy to work with and are very pleasing overall!

In April of 2014 I had back surgery. My doctor said it was one of the worse disc bulge he had ever worked on:/ After the surgery he referred me to several physical therapy clinics. After asking other patients Core PT was the most recommended. I went completed my therapy sessions (by the way as a patient you have to meet the PT Staff halfway, what I’m trying to say is you have to complete the exercises they give you at home!)when I was released I felt great. My back was strong so I looked over to the fitness section and asked about their fitness Program. And this is when my life changed even more:) I am now training with James Maynard the best trainer I’ve ever worked with! He knows what he is doing and is qualified to compose the best program according to your abilities he asessed my physical abilities and designed my personal workout program. I’ve lost 15 pounds and what’s more important I feel strong and confident. Now when I workout anywhere! I know what I’m doing. Core PT has some great fitness classes my favorite is The Core Class it’s not hard but I leave knowing I worked out… really worked out:) But boot camp is a lot of fun too. I’m not a fitness buff! Not at all… I am a mother of three kids and I want to be able to run around with them, for as long as they let me:)

We had to cancel an appointment due to an emergency appointment for my daughter for her braces. I was told it would be a $ 35 cancellation fee. Cancelled all remaining appointments with them due to their lack of ability to be flexible due to an emergency. Seems ironic, therapy group inflexible.

I’ve been a client of Matt’s since he had a small practice further south on Harbor Blvd. Matt took care of my foot after bunion surgery, I’ve sent my husband to him, and I’m currently under their care for a hip flexor that’s killing me. The new location is large and open, lots of tables and therapy rooms. His therapists are very professional and friendly; they bother to know your name and treat you like you’re human. I like that they’re not there to bleed down your insurance — they’ll let you know how much time you have left, but it’s not their main goal to keep you coming to make more money. I recommend CORE and Matt to anyone who needs P/​T.

This review is quite overdue, but writing it now reminds me that I’ve been pain-​free in my shoulder for over six months now, all thanks to Matt and the team at CORE PT. Late last year, I went to the doctor because I couldn’t lift my arm above my shoulder without pain. The doctor couldn’t find the cause but agreed to let me go to PT. It took Dr. Dan only one visit to figure out the muscle that was causing the issue. Their specialized knowledge of how the body works was better than any MRI or x-​ray.
It’s amazing that in this day and age of perpetual «treatments» rather than solutions, the good folks at CORE made my shoulder pain go away and rebuilt the strength there. I can’t praise or thank them enough for allowing me to pick up and tussle around with my kids again, without wincing each time.

This place is awesome. All around great place where everyone is knowledgeable and professional. Had a very base case of tennis elbow and Matt & crew have worked wonders! Thought I would def have to have surgery but now won’t have to! They have taken immaculate and very personal care which is very much appreciated! I couldn’t recommend any other PT more than CORE! If your injured call them!!! You won’t be disappointed!

My appointment was at 11, I got there around 10:55 and fill out the paper work in less than 5 minutes! Around 11:30, I informed the receptionist that is running late, and I have to be out of here by 12:30, she told me that I would be seen soon, and I should be out by 12 noon??? Hey wait a minute, my appointment was at 11 to 12 so one full hour, so I am only getting half and hour??? Unfair and unprofessional! I told them that I was not happy of the wait and told the doctor that I am not go through my appointment today! Based on other reviews they seem to have problems being on time, and under-staff…not a good sign for me!
The receptionist told me that I should have come 30 minutes early to fill out the forms, it take them a while to input my paper work in the system, bla, bla, bla,…so many excuses of their inability of over-​booking and being under-​staff. Give me a break, 30 minutes to fill out a paper work that would take less than 5 minutes to fill up? Besides, I already gave them my insurance information so they already confirmed my coverage.
if you don’t mind wasting your time, then I guess it’s okay to come here, if you value your time like me, then you better think twice about coming here.

My mother suffers from chronic pain and has tried many things including physical therapy in the past. Nothing has really helped her until we found Andrew at CORE. At our very first session, we knew we have found the right doctor. Dr. Rodriguez is not only professional and knowledgeable about what he does, but is also kind and compassionate at heart. He truly cares about his patients! After a couple months of intensive treatment, my mom is feeling much less pain in her day-​to-​day life and is mobile again in her shoulder area which has been bothering her for almost a year. Because Andrew is so great now both my husband and I are seeing him for our own pains resulted from past injuries.
There are many good doctors but it’s rare to find someone who is as selfless as Andrew. I can’t thank him enough for helping my mother with her chronic pain condition. I highly recommend CORE. The facility is also nice and the staffs are all very friendly and helpful. Give it a try!
