Bouncers, bitches, and bartenders love me here. I conquer this spot already. It’s cool if you literally have nothing to do and you’re down to have a few drinks.

I was here last year and it was nothing but bumping. Good vibes all around, friendly faces, and a district of great bars and lounges. After the Kim Pham tragedy, there is definitely a somber, more subdued atmosphere to this place. Since The Crosby’s closure, it appears many other establishments followed suit. Now you’ll find more clubs than anything, and those places will probably closure in the months to come given the economy and demographic. Sadly the fire is gone; however I’ll always remember those good ol’ times in DTF.

I want to say that parents should be careful when letting their 21 year old kids go out for the first time to bar hop in Downtown Fullerton, CA. I went to pick up my 21 year old son on Saturday night at closing and could not believe my eyes! I saw MANY kids laying on the ground in parking lots all alone, passed out, with no one to help them. There were also kids passed out in their cars. I saw at one huge fight in the middle of Harbor and Commonwealth with lots of kids filming it with their phones and egging them on. In addition, there were several ambulances buzzing into the city, I suppose to pick up passed out kids or someone who was injured in a fight. There were, however, at least 25 cop cars with a three block radius and believe me, they needed that presence. My 21 year old son and his friend were over served. I mean way over served!!! I’m not saying that it was not his personal responsibility to stop, but shouldn’t a bartender be able to tell when someone is getting wasted? Thank God he knows not to drive after drinking, but I’m sure there were many kids who did drive home. If you have a young kid who is not experienced and has just turned 21, be careful. It is probably one of the worst places to let them go!

DTF? I sure am! Down Town Fullerton is in a prime location. I’m always to down bar crawl and bar hop scotch while drunk off scotch, in DTF. They have bars from the infamous Slide Bar to the Revolution. They have all sorts of pubs, taverns, lounges, clubs, dive bars, and some place with the«fishbowl». This district is across the street from Cal State Fullerton so you know the parties start on Thursday nights. Had a tough week and want a breather? Come to DTF and get a fishbowl, buy a round of shots for a group of strangers, eat sliders at the Slide Bar, do some karaōke, end up at the Venetian and maybe make it rain. This place is not as active as it use to be. Nonetheless, it’s close and still fun to me. Come by and see me at some random bar, mention this Unilocal review– I will buy your thirsty ass a shot of Jameson. You better be down for DTF though.

Classic American Downtown. One of the many things that makes Fullerton special. Time of day or day of the week; this is a great place to grab a bite and hang out or just drive through. You can also stroll from the train station. Love it!
