Dr Scavo & Associates Optometrists

Went to the fill in dr at Costco fullerton. A woman of Indian race. I cannot recall her name bc I was so taken off guard of her HORRID demeanor. She was so rude. I have a few physical conditions that she acted disgusted with. I felt so put down I went to my car afterward and sobbed. Never again will I go to Costco optometry. She was a fill in dr. And she was awful.

Dr. Scavo is a great Doctor who happens to be in the Costco Fullerton. Been going to him for years always professional and quick. Went in last week for my annual Eye Exam which included dilation as part of the vision check up. Cost was $ 70 which is more then fair. I like a no nonsense doctor who is proficient at what he does.

Dr Scavo was great and answered all of my questions. The staff was very courteous and would definitely go back to see him.

My first visit to optometrist ever. Dr. Scavo did a thorough examination.

Dr. Scavo was great. Easy to work with. I was in and out very quickly with my eye exam. I will come again next year for my annual exam!

I visited Dr. Scavo at the Costo optical department in Fullerton. He was very informative and nice. He explained everything thoroughly and made me feel very comfortable with the prescription I would be receiving. I’ve always had problems having clear vision with my left eye and he was the first doctor to explain to me why — and I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 8 years old (I am 32 now). He then took a little extra time to make sure it was as good as possible. Thank you! He was also the first to tell me that I should have my eyes dilated to check their health. I have a family history ofd health problems that could put me at a higher risk for problems. The cost to add this service was only $ 16.
The two young ladies in the front office were very friendly and courteous. But not very attentive. They did not offer much information and I had to ask questions that I felt should not have had to have been asked — such as where to sit to put in my trial contacts, where was the dish or sink to use when rinsing my contacts, and where to discard the packaging from the contacts. They pretty much said «over there» and indicated a desk which had two chairs on either side (I wasn’t sure which was for me). After that I was on my own. I also had to ask how long I should try out the new contacts before deciding whether I liked them. I wasn’t given any information in regards to how to go about getting lenses. Though I’m sure it’s as simple as handing my prescription over to the people in the eyeglass area, some direction would have been nice. No information was given about the contacts or glasses other than what was necessary to get me in and out of the examination.
Overall, though, it was a very good visit and I will go again. The price was excellent, even better than what I would have received through my medical insurance (Kaiser).
